  1. Dr. Corvo Archdiamond would go over to the seat by the pool to collect his thoughts, only to notice a corpse floating in the pool. If it were just any other corpse, Corvo would drag it out and set it ablaze, however Corvo, with little difficulty finds the message. He then realizes that he has seen the dress before. He immediately rises, knowing better than to meddle in the murders of  royalty. Corvo would then send a hastily written letter to the shields reporting what he had found, wanting to do little more with the corpse or the kidnapping.

  2. The concept is great to say the least, loving the look of it!

Now all you have to do is find someone anywhere near my timezone, and note, my weekends are messed up (Middle East) so my weekend starts on Thursday, ends Saturday. Those two days I should be all clear :D

  3. Doctor Corvo Archdiamond takes notice of the poster in Salvus, and grins under his beaked mask. Quickly the notices the disease, and cannot help but let out a laugh. "My word! Weak bones? It's childs play!" Quickly he takes out a parchment from his medical bag and writes over it "I know just the cure for your disease, I have seen many with it and treated them back to health and fitness just the same. If you decide to take in my help, contact Doctor Corvo Archdiamond (TheBioverse) via bird." Feeling the note is adequate, he pins it on to the board, waiting to be contacted.

  4. (( I am not sure weather I should reply to this OOC, especially since it's the first reply and all, and pardon me if I'm doing something wrong, but I've just got to say the fact that I play a Doctor, a devout one too, the fact that this is the first time I've seen a cripple on LotC who isn't just someone who scarred themselves badly in some battle, is just awesome and highly original to say the least. This coupled with the fact that I may see a girl of 10 year old elf studying her brains out in a wheelchair, looking at stairs as her every day enemies, might as well make my cry IC, and I'm usually very cynical when it comes to injuries, having seen so many. :P))

  5. Doctor Corvo Archdiamond looks at the notice, and shouts out loud "7 foot humans!? I must get a blood sample at once, before there are none left, perhaps even a corpse, yes, dissection..." He then quickly straightens his beaked mask and hat, and runs in a random direction, the adrenaline rush of a 7 foot human blacking most of his rational thoughts.

(( Lol if you are on the hunt for these jolly giants, I will get at least a limb to mess around with!))

  6. ((I fully understand that apps at are not being accepted and whatnot, and I am just leaving this here for say, when they are, and that I found time to do this as well.))

    [Questions]
    MC Name: TheBioverse
Why do you want to join? I believe that a functioning organized crime type group is just what my character would be interested in personally.
How will you provide the guild and the LOTC community with a great RP experience? Instead of playing the thief that there are so many of, no offense to any thieves out there, I would rather play a thief that uses stealth, yes, but more so his ingenuity, this will be explained in my character's actions as well.
What do you think are vital in RP? (I.e Emotes, RP fights over MC fights etc) I personally believe that in RP emotes are vital due to the fact that without emotes, others can't visualize what your character is doing or weather he is approachable, and I fully support RP>PVP since I find it silly if one man is more skilled RP wise and he loses to another man, less skilled, due to slightly better weapons. I also believe the spreading of RP is a bad thing, because if RP spreads out too much, it will become increasingly harder to find RP at all.
    To
break the Guild laws, or the Server laws is instant banishment unless
in a specific circumstance where you are offered an appeal form by the
    Guild, do you understand this?
    Yes, fully understood.

    [Character Questions]
    RP name: Chester
    Biography:
Personality: Calm at most times, or so it seems. He tends to keep both his emotions and identity hidden behind a mask, be it a physical mask or mental one. He is very self centered, usually calling himself 'Chester the Marvelous' or 'Marvelous Chester' but in the end, this is all just an act to lure in customers to play his rigged dice games, and show himself off as a lord or someone important to take in fake taxes.
Motives: Chester believes, in a strange round about way, that since he is a Journey man with experience in almost every field, it wouldn't be fair to deny another man a job in who's spot he would stand, so instead of getting a  job, he decided to use his intellect and planning capabilities to earn him money, by turning to the path of a con-man. He doesn't believe he is stealing, but only using his natural silver tongue and shifty hands to gain a profit, at the customer's free will.
Aspirations: Chester has always wanted to join the politics of Oren, where only the silver tongue get you where you need to be, at the top. Sadly enough, Chester has realized that his dream would most likely not become a reality, but still believes in a sliver of hope that it may one day.

    You
notice a rich foreign merchant in the markets browsing wares such as
jewellery, weaponry and armor. You notice a stall owner has just walked
away from his stall for a few moments, several guards are patrolling the
area, the merchant walks towards the stall to browse its wares. To the
North is a sewer grate you could escape through, though the guards seem
to be patrolling it more than usual. How will you pull of this thievery?

Chester notices the absence of the stall owner, and the approach of the merchant, and quickly a plan is brewed up and put info action. Chester quickly strolls to the side of the stall, so he may look as both a customer and a stall keeper.

"Greetings there! Would you like to browse my wares?" Chester says, in a normally toned voice, knowing his words would be muffled to the stall owner due to the crowd surrounding them.

"Yes yes, what do you have on gems, might I ask?" Replies the merchant.

"Only the finest!" Chester says, he quickly scoops up most of the gems off the table, along with any highly valued items, and says "I can offer them to you at a lower price, if you were to help me pack up my stall while I visited the rest room?"

At this bargain the merchant was delighted! "Of course of course! How much lower at a price!?"

As Chester strolled away towards the main gate, he shouted back "Less than half price!" and could already see the stall owner returning to his stall from across the market. As he heard shouting from the stall, he patted his own pocket, filled with the minas and gems of the stall owner, knowing that it would take a while for the commotion to settle, and no one would believe a man clearing up the goods of a stall owner's table and placing them in his own leather bag.

The Upright Man has asked of you
to steal a scroll from a house that is just outside the city limits of
Alras, the house seems to be alive with laughter and drunken men, you
look through a window to see the chest is in the room, while 5 drunken
men sit around the fire telling war stories, they seem armed but drunk,
you see in the corner of your eye a small hole in the roof into the
room. The door hinges are old and rusty, it can be easily kicked down.
How will you pull of this thievery?

Chester walks up to the main door, and peers through the key hole. 5 men, at a moderate age of around 30-40 and highly drunk, the alcohol he could smell from out here, but Chester thought up a relatively easy plan to lure the men into a trap. He kicked down the door and yelled "Fellas! There's a wagon of women, 20 of them, all soaked in water from crashing into the nearby lake! I got most of them out, but they are soaked in water, and they are in need of clothes! Most of them got too cold and annoyed in the soaked rags and took them off altogether!"

At this the men were more than surprised, most probably thanking God for an opportunity like this, thought Chester, and as the lustful and drunk men chased off over the distance to to nearby lake, that wasn't that nearby at all, Chester walked up to the chest and slowly opened it. Surprisingly, it was unlocked, raising Chester's suspicions. He looked inside to find the scroll, unharmed and intact, and with that he departed, not wanting to be present when the men arrive. At the scene of the crime Chester left a White Rose, a grin on his face...

Soon later, Chester delivered the scroll to The Upright Man, wondering if it was the right scroll. The Upright man took the scroll, didn't even bother to open it, and shooed Chester off, as Chester wondered if the scroll was of any importance at all...

    An
old man has taken rest from his travels under a tree, his bag is to the
left of him, he appears to have a dagger on him. In the far distance
you see some travellers coming, though they are still a far while off.
How will you pull of this thievery?

Chester walks over to the old man, a kind look on his face, and asks "Sir, in the spirit of the creator, please accept this vial of sparkling water?"

The man at first looks suspicious, but as Chester holds his kindly face, he finally gives in "Sure, why not?" and the old man gulps the vial down, and as Chester counts the ticks n his head, he watches as the man's face turns red and he beings to puff heavily, obviously not getting enough oxygen from the chemicals in the water. He knows it will not be enough to kill the man even at his age, and quickly shouts "Someone get this man help!" and watches the travelers run to his location, by this time Chester would have vanished into the trees and bushes and the man would be left bag-less and mina-less.  Chester also remembered to leave a white rose at the man's location, since if anyone deserves hate it's 'them'...

  7.  Corvo watches the seagull carry the parchment, and also watches as it flutters onto his shoulder, and drops a letter. Corvo scrolls through the letter, a small smile at the edges of his lips. As he finishes reading the message, he takes out a match, lights it and sets the letter ablaze. He then dusts up the ashes and blows them into the wind.

"As long as no one knows you've left, they will have no reason to hunt you down. I suppose your heart beats yet another day 'Sword of the Sorrow's Wind'..."

  8. *Doctor Corvo Archdiamond examines one of the posters in Salvus, and frowns upon reading one of the posters.*

"I will not meddle in the affairs of others, I will not administer deadly medicine? That just takes the fun out of it... Oh, healing those who you deem worthy!? That's just plain un doctor like, we heal those in need, end of story, or so I thought..."

    Human (No subclass)

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Venator Nocte, Ven to his friends, was born into a family of 2 trades. His Father's side of the family were skilled hunters, while his mothers side were skilled fishers. He was raised in a village on the Isle of Salvus. It was a peaceful time for him and his village, unlike the other human Kingdom's which stank of internal feuding, but the peace was not meant to last.

At roughly the age of 20 Ven was an efficient hunter who was well nursed in his father's disipline of hunting, his father had told him, 'We hunt not for the pleasure of the sport, but the cause." His Uncle, on his mother's side of the family, though he was a drunkard, had taught Ven the ways of the fisherman, he always used to say, as if it were his motto, 'Give a man a fish, and he is full for the day, give a man a fishing rod, and he can feed himself for a lifetime.' His parents had also realized that he was now an adult and wanted him to get married and have a family of his own. Ven was amused at the idea and talked his parents not to rush into anything, but they had already found a suitable bride. Ven was shocked, partly due to his shyness, and thought a little time to himself would be just what he would need. He packed his camping bag and went off for the night.

It was about midnight and, what he guessed to be chanting and marching, had awoken him. He got out of his tent, sword in hand and peered out of the trees. To his horror the village was in flames, and the chanting was clearer now, he could make out the words "All hail the new King, all hail Godfrey!" Ven was a smart and quick thinker, years of hunting wild animals, and the creatures of the night had gifted him with that skill, and he realized that Godfrey must be the New Ruler of another Kingdom, and that this was war.

He ran to his house and found it engulfed in flames, and as he reached he saw them, his family, running for their lives in sheer terror from the soldiers, but father wasn't with them. He saw that his Mother and the others were safe and ran into the house and found his father on the floor, dead. He was also holding a bloody note, on it in a scribbled and rushed writing said, 'Ven, if you find this note, then I have passed on to the heavans, bet this is no time to be grieving in tears, your family needs you, it is now your responsibility to protect and feed them, live up to your name, that is all I ask. Take my finest armor, my battle sword, my crossbow, and my quiver of arrows, they shall serve you well, now go, destiny awaits you, your family awaits you. Ven shook the tears from his eyes, grabbed the equipment his late father had bestowed upon him, and ran to protect the family.

He ran to the door and dashed through the chaos. He managed to cut down a few soldiers just like he would cut down a stampeding wild boar. He found his family in the woods, exhausted, and as he extended his hand and was about to call out for them, when he heard the words "Detonate the mines!" and a shining bright light engulfed his family as Ven was knocked off his feet, and his world faded to black.

When he woke it was dawn and he was under a small pile of rubble, when he emerged to the surface he found himself in crater, and he realized what had happened. He looked back to the village to confirm his hunch, and as he had gravely suspected, it was gone, and so were the soldiers. His knees gave out under him and he collapsed, tears welling up in his eyes, realizing he could not confirm his father's wishes, that he had doomed the families name. It was midday and Ven had constructed a makeshift grave from what he could find and said his prayers, he the took the decided to travel to the cloud sanctuary with what little money and food he had left, for the armor had taken the force of the blast and was now in pieces, his sword was still in decent shape at least, he thought. He then began his journey of hardship, no idea what destiny awaited him...

    Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

It was but another day since the tragedy that had befallen me, and this day I find myself following a brick path. To where it lead I had no clue, but anywhere was better than sleeping another night in the wilderness, under a tree or in a hole under the ground. It seemed there was something on the horizon. I checked the map that I had found on the way here, in a strange rucksack I might add, and it said that the only major thing in this direction should be the City of Arethor, but from what I could see, it was much larger than the map, I guessed it was an old map and the city had prospered by the hands of wealth, so I carried on, starving I might add. I had nothing to eat but apples and pieces of rotten Zombie flesh for days, neither too filling, and the zombie flesh had, for a few minutes, left me even hungrier than before! But as I entered the gates I found what seemed to be a paradise. It was a marketplace! And what made it a true paradise was the first stall I laid my eyes upon, the man, or dwarf in this case, seemed to be poor, and I realized, with my current lack of money, I could buy some raw beef, or even pork at a bargain! I calmly walked up to the stall, but the dwarf had been tougher than expected and we landed the deal, after about half an hour too I might add, at 3 minas for 3 raw pork chops and 1 map, for I realized an outdated map was of no use to me, but I kept the map anyways, as a precaution. I then gave my thanks to the dwarf for the decent trade and studied the map, looking for any towns, preferably a small village, where I could perhaps get a job and rent a small house.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

It had been a successful day. I had found a newly forming village and had offered my services as either a hunter or a fisher to the townspeople in exchange for a home. They had joyfully agreed, to the fisher of course, they tended to farm bread for now until they could make a proper stall and have enough wheat to breed the animals, which was acceptable, and the more fish I cough, the more time I had a roof over my head, which sounded like a fair deal too. I was actually on my way to a local bar in another town when I spotted a commotion down the road. It was late at night but the bulking figures and the accent's in their voice made it clear. It was a dwarf and an orc, and it seemed that the orc was on the offensive, which was perfectly normal in these parts. I also noticed that they weren't armed, so realizing a fist fight would not be too harmful, I walked away. When I heard a scream of terror I looked back to see the orc holding a knife, and as the orc's eyes met mine, he ran. I used a spare bandage to patch up the dwarf and brought him to the nearby town. I then gave a notice of the orc to the local authorities, and I parted ways with the dwarf. I then casually continued my walk to the bar.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I had continued my walk to the bar only to find an old man on the other side of the road. I shot him friendly smile and he waved back, it was then that I realized how frail his stick was. I was about to stop him when it snapped. I quickly broke a small branch off a tree and carved the odd bits out using a small pocket knife and helped him up while also handing him the stick. I also saw he had dropped his money pouch and it had ripped. I picked all but 1 coins up and handed it to him, saving myself that last coin as compensation. He thanked me and was on his way, I smirked and tossed the coin into the air, and used the same one to buy my drink.

Normally, he would have not tampered and woken up the nearby monk to deal with the situation, but as a night guard it was his duty to sort these problems, he reckoned he might even get in the captain's good books by doing so. He casually walked up to the scene and addressed the 2, 'Is there a problem here?' They both tuned their menacing eyes towards him, and the dwarf said 'And what if there is a problem, what are ye gonna do?' The Orc added, 'Hah! Puny man can do nothing!' Ven kept his cool and offered both of them a cool beer he had in his satchel, they both agreed. After they had drank they were grateful to Ven. 'Sorry mate, I didn't to be so rude to ya.' the dwarf said ashamed, the Orc the added 'Puny man has good beer!' Ven only smiled, and in seconds the both had collapsed. Little had the 2 known Ven had especially brewed the beer extra strong for such a situation, and knew no one refused a cool beer. At dawn when the monk had awoken, Ven explained the situation. The monk was impressed at his use of cunning and not violence to handle the situation, and gave him a small fee for it. 'All in a day's work, sir.' Said Ven with a grin.

Ven is calmly enjoying a stroll from work and decides to be a bit more active and walks down the road to Malinor, to treat himself to a cold pint of beer for his great job as a night guard, when he sees an old man with a walking stick pass by him. Ven notices the walking stick is incredibly unstable, and as he is about to stop and warn the old man, the stick snaps, and his pouch of minas rips and coins spill out. He quickly takes action by helping the old man up and hands him the stick he had been using previously to help a small child untangle a kite from a tree. He also collects all the minas, and slyly keeps one for himself as a compensation. The old man thanks him and as he begins to walk away, Ven has an risky idea. He stops the old man and tells him of the 1 minas he had kept for himself and humbly apologizes while bowing his head, and the man as Ven had gambled, rewarded Ven with the minas and a few more for his honesty. Ven put on a mask of being modest and in the end took the money. As the old man walked away he felt a sense of pride for being so cunning, and continued his walk to Malinor, and spent the money on is beer too.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.):

EnderSteve is of average human height, has brownish skin and a blue eye on half of his body, the other half is covered in a smooth black coating, and his eye glows green as a sign of his envy towards the uncursed and healthy humans, it is also a sign of dark and unholy magic of sorts, but EnderSteve is not aware of this, but deep inside, a feeling a longing and sadness lingers for he wishes to return to his home and family, but he cannot due to the current condition he is in. He has a very dark personality and is usually merciless against the evils that roam the wilderness or even towns. He believes himself to be a silent protector and a guardian, not a hero. He feels that he is better off alone than in a group. He was also hunted down in many towns as a monster, so he was forced to wear a helmet or a leather hood in public, to hide this face. His misfortune has caused him to break off his connection with God as well, for he realized after a year of countless prayers, that he was going to have to make his cure, not pray and beg for it

He was once Steve of the Craftsman clan, one that existed over the ages, but the clan soon fell after the invasion of a mysterious new hostile race by the name of the endermen. Steve was one of many soldiers who were fighting in the war, but one day on the battle field, he came across a peculiar object, a pearl. He wondered what it was, and why the Enderman had it, so he planned to take it back, but then he head something, whispers, he looked around him, there were nothing but trees and grass, he could not even spot his comrades, he then looked back in his hand and was amazed and horrified at the same moment, the pearl was giving off some sort of strange black gas. Steve realized that he was tempering with something he should ignore, so he tossed the pearl away and he saw it siaring across the sky, and as it hit the ground, poof! Steve was pulled at the speed of light itself towards where it had landed, and he landed face flat towards the ground, he then slowly picked himself up and ran, back to his barracks, glancing back at the pearl on the ground. Later that night while he slept he could hear even more whispering in his head, yet he could not make out the language or even the words, but he knew the pearl was causing this, so he got up, grabbed his sword, his leather tunic, food, and set off to find and destroy the pearl. After fighting off many zombies and skeletons and the occasional creeper, he finally found the pearl, so he drew his sword and jammed it right inside the pearl, and suddenly, the ground started to shift and give away and steve fell into a covered up ravine. As he reached the bottom he realized he was at the brink of death, and that he did not have enough strength to climb out, so he cried out in despair, and then he saw it, levitating in the air, the pearl, and this time, he understood the whispers, "You seek salvation. It can be yours, at a price." "Anything! Please! Just don't let me die here!" Steve cried out in tears. "Very well then, you have chosen the path of the ender, one from which you may never return!" Before Stevecould ask what that meant, the was a bang and the pearl exploded, scattering black smoke evverywere, and the smoke was absorbed into Steve, and when he regained consciousness, he was in a new realm completely, one carved out of white stone and scattered with obsidian pillars, not to mention endermen, but in the sky he saw it, with its wings flapping in the dark black sky, a dragon, a beast of myth and legend, and it spoke, "Live now, arm yourself, and fight me, for your full soul, and once I am defeated, you shall be no longer Ender." Then Steve awoke, he was on the fresh morning dirt and grass, and beside a lake of fresh blue water, he looked at himself and saw the dragon told the truth. He was now half ender, forever cursed to roam the lands as a freak, a monster and an abomination, unless he found a way to defeat that dragon. He realized he could not go back to his home in his current state so he wandered off into the wilderness, in search for his cure.

    Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

I would walk over to the scene and nod to the halfling to leave, whilst at the same time grab the hild of my sword and whisper in a grim tone "I do believe you gentlemen were about to leave, am I correct?"

If they refused to leave and wanted to pick a fight, I would wound them to the point of death, then leave them to bleed to death, or try to run away. I would also loot them for anything of worth.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

I would first browse the stall to see if there was anything of worth to buy, then I would inspect the merchant to see if he was a legitimate man, for he sounded too posh for a man running only but a small stand, finally I would buy some food and be on my way, while slyly pick pocketing some iron ingots, he seems rich enough to be able to sustain himself .

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

First i would inspect the grounds and trees around me to see if it was a trap, if it was a trap or ambush I would simply kill all those who dared to attack me with superior swordsmanship, then proceed to take the loot to sell to the previous merchant.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

I would wearily approach them, suspecting a trap or another ambush, if if all seemed well, I would pay them for food and shelter for the night.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

I would first ask about the reward, and if it seemed plentiful I would accept and hunt down the bandits, possibly looting them after slaying or capturing them for any valuables they had on them.

Anything else you would like to say?:

I do hope you approve my application to joining your realm, it seems well developed and very active and I would be thrilled to join you.
