He's dead serious, I'm pretty sure the only thing this guy does all day is browse Lord of the Craft forums. I know this because every five damn seconds I hear the notification sound due to having him as a friend on here. Might as well put him to work, he doesn't have anything better to do.

On a more serious note, people **** posting on serious threads is a serious turn off from any kind of forum roleplay for me, so the fact that he put that specifically is something he wants to work on is great. Drone is a good fit for this team honestly. +1

A lone man approached the group, a mask and long flowing black robes hid his face and form. He grins sadistically as the lone man gives his speech, already knowing exactly what hi answer would be. One lazy nod affirmed what the man who gave the speech already knew. He was in. The foolish ones who murdered for their so called gods would pay.

One of my favorite interpretation of an Assassin-like character is that from the book series "The Night Angels". The concept of a Wetboy is amazing. I suggest reading the series! The main character eventually does become god-like, but the beginning of the book is a good example of how I feel LotC Assassins should be.

I loved that book series. It was a petty dark and gritty, but it matched the world. I agree that LotC Assassins should be like Wetboys without the power or whatever it was called. It has been a year or so since I read it.

Developers should just help out all around LotC. For starters, it seems like people are bored of the Fringe. How about the two active Dev's do a small event while the ET works on the bigger stuff. Next, as Matt said, they can repair landscapes and the like. Lastly, they can do as Heff said and help out the newer players as well as talk to the people in the WS chat looking to join.

Personally I feel like on an RP server RP combat should be default, but I guess others don't feel the same. Anyway, as other people say, there are a bit too many loopholes. I see what you are saying about just walking away form these people, but there will be too many of these people to walk away from.

A great guide, especially for newer players that are very confused. Personally for me the Kharajyr language is difficult, but your simple guidelines helped me understand it.

Just a random opinion, if it is mostly media work that has to be done, how about some event team members whip up some cool events to keep things on the Fringe interesting. II mean, i'm all for creating our own roleplay, and I've seen some people create some good rp for everyone around a general area, but if they are on the event team, they should be creating some cool events. By the way, if you read this sarcastically, it isn't sarcastic. As I was re-reading, I noticed it might be misinterpreted that way.

Sounds like a fun event to participate in.

Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:Yes, I've spoken English my entire life, and have a good grasp of grammar. It kinda annoys me when people have bad grammar, so I am happy that the app had this part of it.

Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:I try to be a patient man, but I have freaked out once or twice. But who hasn't? I also love to roleplay, and I don't really care about being the strongest. I read a lot, and I swear, but not excessively or without reason.

How much time could you be on the server weekly?:Well, that depends on my brother. He lets me use his computer. He tells me I can dedicate about twenty-eight hours on the server weekly.(( my brother is also going to apply))

What do you know about Roleplaying? Give a definition of what it means to you: Roleplaying to me is escaping one's current life and acting out another's. I am an avid reader of fantasy books, and I have always wanted to be in one of those stories. With roleplaying, I can.

What experience have you had in Roleplaying, if any?: I have played on a couple other servers, such as Kingdom of Aeonis, Chronicles of Turius, Silver age, and The land of Yolin. I have also done a bit of Dungeons and Dragons with a couple friends.

In your own Words, define what the act of Meta-Gaming is: Metagaming is taking out of character or IRL information and using it in Rp, despite your character having no reason to know such things.

In your own Words, define what the act of Power-Emoting is:Power-Emoting is forcing hits on other players, i.e. Joe Smoe stabs Leafy Joe in the heart, instantly killing him. Joe Smoe didn't give the other player a chance to dodge, block, or take the hit.

What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect the server to a blast, considering the large player base and great roleplaying happening.

What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: I have played on Kingdom of Aeonis, and I left them because they started favoring people, and it was very biased. I never really left the Chronicles of Turius, I just couldn't rp there when I lost my computer. Same with Silver age. I am currently still roleplaying on Land of Yolin, but I can still dedicate numerous hours to Lord of the Craft.

How did you hear about us?: Well, I downloaded Hawk's mod pack and saw the automatic connect to Lotc, so I checked it out and spoke to a useful player in wandering soul mode.

Character Name: Aaerin Siliany

What Race are you?: Aaerin is an elf, and descendant of Malin.

What Sub-Race are you?: Wood elf.

Biography: Aaerin's mother conceived Aaerin at the age of 412, glad to have a child before sterility set in. Aaerin's father and mother both had cocoa colored skin, and his dad had green eyes. His mom, however, was one of the reare few that inherited warm, chocolaty brown eyes. Aaerin also received these eyes. He grew up with his father and mother in a house that stood alone in the forest. His father was an experienced archer, and farmed as well to make sure Aaerin and his mother had food. His mother knit cloths for Aaerin and herself, along with his father. She also cooked and cleaned the house. It wasn't a bad life, and Aaerin liked it.

Ever since he could wield a bow, his father started giving him lessens in archery so that he had a means of protecting himself if his life was ever in danger. At first, Aaerin wasn't very good, and lacked natural talent, unlike most of his race. However, with much practice and training, he caught up to the people with natural ability. Soon he could out shoot even his dad, and the day that he did, his father gave him his longbow. There wasn't anything significant about it, but Aaerin treasured it anyway, Aaerin left his small home at the age of 25, ready to make a living for himself.

Aaerin is above average height with a slight build from drawing back the heavy draw weight of his longbow. He has light brown hair and eyes, and wears blue clothing. He likes to leave his hair long, so it can cover his eyes. Aaerin is a kind, adventurous, and steadfast kind of person. He is agile and quick, with little to no skill with any other kind of weapon.

What are your Character's ambitions?: Aaerin doesn't have many ambitions, just one big one. he wants to join the Phoenix Rangers. He has ever since he saw a flyer for them. (It says there is a flyer on their page.)

What is your character’s favorite tool?: Aaerin's favorite tool is the bow, as it is the only one that he could use properly.

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents?: Aaerin is very skilled in archery, and is light on his feet. he also has a large amount of stamina.

Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond?

As the two lightly dressed warrior's fingers find the halfings's coin pouch, Aaerin draws his bow and notches an arrow slightly, standing about thirty yards away. He was surprised that they hadn't noticed his slender form by now. Letting his arrow fly, it hurtled through the air and plunged into it's target, the man's calf. He knew that it would hurt, and he thought that they needed to be taught a lessen. His confidence wavered slightly when the other one drew a wickedly curved sword and ran towards him. the one that was shot lay on the ground, yelling wild insults at the wold elf. In his pain, he had dropped the money pouch and the halfling has snatched it back up. Aaerin nodded at him, telling him to leave, and the halfling tipped his hat towards him and runs away.

The other warrior is still coming towards him, getting closer and closer by the second. He had a nasty sneer written on his face, knowing that he could just rob the elf instead. Before the warrior gets close enough to take a swing at him with his curved iron scimitar, Aaerin lets off an arrow that implants itself on the attacking man/s sword shoulder, making him drop the nasty blade and clutch his shoulder. The town militia's captain then strides up, taking the two thieves away and thanking Aaerin for helping out.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character response?

Aaerin's gaze lingers on each and every one of the man's wares. When he is asked by the merchant what he can do for Aaerin today, Aaerin shrugs. "I'm really just browsing as of right now.' He tells the merchant, but the merchant doesn't give up. "Oh, come on. You gotta have these boots, which make it so you can fall from any distance and be safe!" A lot of oohs and aahs came from the crowd at this, but Aaerin took one look at the high price of the item and shrugged again. "Sorry." he says to the now silent merchant as he makes his way out of the market, eager to get something to eat.

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?:

Aaerin strolls through the woods like they belong to him, whistling a very merry tune that his mother had whistled whenever they were having a celebration. as he walks he comes across a ratty looking hut that looked abandoned, and for a while at that. Aaerin stops whistling and walks over for a closer look, walking straight through the doorway with no door.

Examining the one room shack carefully, he noticed a couple paintings on the walls, all of which were in poor condition. he also noticed a chest in a corner of the room, and Aaerin started debating whether he should open it. In the end, curiosity got the better of him and he switched open the top and looked inside. a few iron ingots and a shiny, new looking golden sword dominated the space. Once again, the wood elf wonders his brain for answers. Should he keep it, or should he leave it here for the owner or some thief to get it.

After a good ten minutes of thinking, the wold elf finally stands up and walks away, closing the chest and the door. He had decided that he was no thief, and wasn't going to become one today. That, plus he remembered how bad he was with swords, so it really did him no good.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond?

Aaerin struggles towards where he thinks the nearest town was. He had been attacked by a group of bandits, who had stolen his coins. Luckily he had left his longbow at home, otherwise the thieves might have stolen it as well as his gold. he spots a campfire light in the distance and struggles into the camp, noticing elves and humans alike eating their dinner. When they see Aaerin they greet him in the common tongue and ask what happened while treating him to some porridge.

Finishing his story some twenty minutes later, he thanked the group for providing him with food and shelter and asked where the nearest town was. They told him not far off, so the next morning the group set out in one direction and Aaerin jogged in the other, happy to be almost home.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?:

As Aaerin listens to the party leader give a speech about several bandits that were camping outside their village and robbing lowly peasants of their money and asking help to stop them. A small group gathers, including Aaerin towards the back with his longbow and quiver full of feather tipped arrows.

Once the small party of assorted warriors and archers were approaching the bandit hideout, the bandits leapt out with large daggers that glinted in the sunlight. They had sneers in their faces, as if they knew for a fact that they were going to win the fight. Then, chaos followed. Several men fell victim to the bandit's quick, darting movements right away while two others managed to kill two of the eight bandits. Aaerin notched an arrow and released it at a bandit, releasing another one right after that. he kept shooting until the remaining bandits fell, and the group cheered in victory.

Anything else you would like to say?: This server looks great, well organized and I cant wait to be a part of it, whether it be this application or an edited one.
