    In-Character:

    Character Name: Lynnette Esdeline

What Race are you? (You may only be Human, Orc, Elf or Dwarf!) : Human.

What Sub-Race are you? (note, you aren’t required to have a sub-race): None.

Biography (Please make this at least 2 paragraphs long. This must include the history of your character and his life as well as age, appearance and personality, etc.): A quiet farm, small couples of houses, and an unused guard house were all that made up the village of Fishhaven. The morning after a complicated birth, the mother was pronounced dead. Without such a figure in her life, the newborn girl’s life would surely not be as regular as her friends, wouldn’t it? To say as much would be true. Lynnette Esdeline had always been a tomboy, though timid when confronted. If her sharp tongue ever got one of her peers riled up, she wouldn't be the first to step up to a fist-fight. Her black hair was trimmed relatively short, and her green eyes lit up her face. Her lithe face complimented these features well. One might mistake her for elven, on a passing glance. Despite her friendly demeanor, the boys didn’t talk to her, and the girls teased her. The teachers babied her, and her father held her too close. The village choked her happiness straight out of her, so she did what any motherless tomboy would do. Run away? No! She asked her father to move, and what was a single father to do? He attempted to do what was best for his child, and packed up with a wave goodbye to Fishhaven (the place never had any fresh fish anyways, the river was completely dried up!). They took to the road, and Lynnette got used to the traveling. In fact, she took to it.

The pair never really did find another place to live, and chose rather to camp with their belongings, and horse on roadsides. For a good eight years they caravanned, seeing the long flatlands, and high mountains that Asulon offered. For a month they stayed near Arethor, and Lyn even took to a young blacksmith’s lad there. The pair were like two peas in a pod, always looking at each other awkwardly from afar, their gazes averting as soon as they met. One afternoon, the lad even spoke to her! They laid on the hillside that afternoon, watching the sunset. Lyn wore a crown of flowers, and the lad kissed her as she left to rejoin her father. The dwarves began to fascinate Lynnette’s father. Fascinate him in such a way that he began losing sight of his daughter, whom wasn’t too keen on this. Perhaps this was his midlife crisis? To be sturdy, and strong like the dwarf? Being the ripe age of nineteen, Lynnette stole away from her father, and continued on the road with her horse. She left her loverboy, and went on her way without a word. During her lonely travels, she kept her girlish figure hidden under layered clothing, and a drooping hood. Who wouldn’t want to take advantage of a lone woman on the road? She could have anything hidden in those saddlebags. Lyn kept a sword sheathed by her side, but never knew how to use it. Now, twenty three years old, her story continues to unfold, her horse now long dead, and her clothes beginning to tatter. Perhaps a calling would find it’s way into her heart? A man to sweep her off her feet, and pamper her while he tills the fields? Only Horen could tell.

What are your Character's ambitions?: My character’s ambitions are to maintain a moderately successful inn, and have a comfortable living.

What is your character’s favorite tool? (sword, pickaxe, shovel, etc): A hoe. To Lyn, a hoe can be used to feed oneself for months, provided they know how to use it. She worked with her father to till the fields when younger, and would take a well-forged hoe over anything else-- and hey, in a pinch, a hoe can crack a skull if swung at the right angle!

What is one of your Character's most skilled talents? They are exceptional at playing the lute, and singing a jaunty tune.

A screenshot of your skin (must be in proper format, if you do not know how to acquire one, copy and paste this link into your browser: http://postimage.org/image/u329dr71j/

Other Information about your Character: None to be mentioned.

    Open-Response-Questions

Each and every question must be answered with a minimum of a single full paragraph and entirely in RP.

Whilst traveling from the Cloud Temple you see a small halfling, being harassed by two armed warriors. They appear to be trying to steal money from him, how does your character respond? Lynnette heard the shouting from afar, but hadn’t expected a scene so dangerous. She took to a nearby tree, peering around it--this wasn’t the first time her curiosity had gotten the better of her. It was obvious she could do nothing for the poor halfling, so she began quietly running back the way she came. After this act of cowardice, an idea struck her! She mustered a yell, and called out to nobody, “They’re up here, I can hear them robbing the innocent!” Whether or not she helped the poor halfling was unbeknownst to her, as she took off towards the safety of the Cloud Temple with her tail between her legs.

Your character wanders into Alras, and comes across a small stall, behind which a well dressed man is standing. He’s offering various wares, the merchant turns to you and says in a posh accent " 'ello there, what can I do you for today?" What is your character’s response? The girl’s attention was grabbed by the curious accent to her right, and she swirls herself to face the source. “O-Oh, noth.. nothing, sir. I don’t have any money to buy your curios with. But, maybe a trade could be arranged?” She offered the man. “Ah, girl, Oim a gentleman! I couldn’t dream of dealing with such-” The man was interrupted by a sharp scoff. “Did you really--why, the nerve!” Lyn refutes to the gentleman, and goes on her way. “Some people, in these parts.”

Whilst wandering in the wilds, your character comes across a small hut, which looks abandoned. Inside it you see a chest containing a few iron bars, and a golden sword. How would your character respond?: After feeling some otherworldly force command her to open the chest, Lyn bites her lip and looks around. With her insides churning, delegating her upbringing and morals, she closes the chest with an audible ‘click’. Are those footsteps?, she would think. Believing that she had indeed heard an approaching owner, she skirts out of the door, and away into the tree line.

Hungry and lost in the wilderness, you stumble across a small trading camp nestled among the forest, they greet you you in the common tongue, how do you respond? “And greetings to you, sirs. I.. seem to have lost myself, out here. Would it be possible for me to do some work, and earn some food? Perhaps a bed for the night? It truly would be my pleasure to do my fair share for a seat at the table.” Lyn offers to the pair, and smiles her most endearing and innocent-maiden smile. The pair turn to each other and shrug. “Get to peelin’ some potatoes and you can have a spud or two.” One of the pair would offer, to which Lyn would respond with an earnest nodding. She would be directed to her tool, and pile-o-potatoes, and commence the peeling.

You hear word that bandits occupy the road outside the town in which you have been staying. The town guard have gathered, and are asking for assistance to help eliminate them. The leader of the party is offering a reward for any who offer their support. How does your character act on this information?: Lyn had heard of the encroaching bandit threat, and felt it her duty to help. How could she leave with such evil-doers out there, ready to rob her? She would make her way to the leader of this band of ragtag defenders, offering what services she had: to cook, or raise the moral of the guard. Both the former and latter of her offer were accepted, and she took to it like a child to candy. The eve consisted of much stew churning, and song-singing--it could have rivaled a small party!

Anything else you would like to say?: I really hope I get my first application accepted, I’m very eager to start up on the server and begin contributing!
