Briefly, explain the lore behind this construct or creature: Lich (/ˈlɪtʃ/; from Old English 'līċ' meaning'corpse') is an undead monstrosity, seen by some as a reward and by others, as a monstrosity, the lich is the resurrected spell caster brought back to life by a cabal of necromancers in a multi-tiered ritual that places the creature's soul into an item(most of the time a gem of some description). The first Liches were only known as servants of Iblees. Iconic for their skeletal appearance and dark robes, the second generation of Liches were bound to be slaves to the new brand of Anthos Necromancers, and with the final generation of lich being free from the constraints of the second generation while also keeping a lot of their similarities. Liches are skeleton humanoids, brittle but magically resilient as not to crumble to dust, also due to their nature they learn magic at a slower rate than normal living mortals. And unlike second generation liches third, can use necromancy if they already had it, and last but certainly not least they have a bone to pick with you.

They also suffer numerous weaknesses not found in the other sentient races, they are tied heavily to their phylactery and will do everything within their power to protect it or be sent back to death, which mostly are deathly afraid of. They also have a cunning weakness to gold and holy magic making those who wield such a subtle advantage over the undead menace, they also have to sustain their form through a constant drain of lifeforce or go mad and slowly perish, ironically this means they are susceptible to other necromancers. The lich may be the master of life and death but its 'life' surely is filled with danger and paranoia.

The lore has always been a problem, it's a mess and there's no way of looking at it any differently, it's like an overexcited builder that keeps attaching extensions to a house and he doesn't know what he's gonna do with the extra space nor does he care that he's jeopardising the integrity of the building.

Lets start from the very start, I'll try to summarise the basic history "LOTC began in Agise but Iblees(a god who was mean) tore **** up, we moved to Auslon through some portals, don't ask about that it's a long story. A lot of things happened but don't worry, we than moved across the waters cause of drakes and Testificates, we went back in time than there were some minor islands and than we got to a place called Anthos, things were okay until we were attacked by the Lich King, we defeated him went through a magic portal moved to another land than moved again to another land, and than another and stayed on this one for awhile and than moved to another."

I'm confused and I went through most of that first hand, I'd have so many questions if I were new, and personally I know the answers and I'm just disappointed. If I can't summerise the lore in a good paragraph or two it's bad writing, people have confused good writing for a wall of a text, and that's the medium that our lore uses, and I haven't even started on magic or the politics or even the races.

When I was active I actively avoided magic users, and I was one. I was wondering what new magic or stupid interpretation of it I'd have to deal with it today.

My thoughts on the matter burn the ******* lore down, you need to restart if you want something cohesive and that could apply to a plugins structure, or even a well written story.

I did indeed teach Rufus, and I have to say the time spent with Zky, was most enjoyable and that I think he will make a great addition.

I think the server could benefit from both. The current map is just too large. A new map could easily rectify the issue. But at the same time, this map still may have more in store? To be honest, that was my only argument. This map hasn't been utilized properly to create active rp hubs. A new map of the proper size with good guidelines can change that, making roleplay more accessible.

We said that about Anthos, I'm pretty sure we'll say that about the next map too.

As Embermoor’s heavens deepened past indigo, receding beyond the ruddy backward of dusk, sineway vapors slid between the bald cypress trees, and churned into dim mirages on the old swamp roads.

There two figures met at the base of an aged spire of stone in the centre of the swampy landscape, one a gaunt old man with a fringe of grey-white hair around his balding, mottled scalp. He had a harrowed face and a back slightly hunched. And movement impaired with age, and the other a thing of ebony skin and carefully braided black hair with sharp features, and large pointed ears.

The two spoke briefly before a streak of lightning tore the sky asunder sending pale ominous light scattering over the landscape, and then it happened bolts of fantastic lightning and fire leapt from the Doomforge’s fingers, dancing from them in a deranged light show of eldritch magic. The old man standing his ground, raising his aged and withered arm’s to the heavens and would call aloud terrible blasted rights of forgotten lore, calling forth an aberrant of freshly sewn cadavers with translucent yellowish skin pulled so taut over the body that it barely disguises the workings of arteries and muscles. With milky bulbous eyes, matted black hair, and prominent yellow teeth in a state of decay.

As the fight raged on and across the blasted moorlands of Embermoor, the figures tiring with each and every action until both meeting square in front of each other, no more a thing of tolerance upon the eyes now a thing of fantastic horror, the dark skinned combatant now a gaunt skeletal figure, its leather like skin pressed against the round bulb of a skull called a head, spectral flames leaping and dancing from the long since used sockets that once housed its eye's.

With another brilliant streak of lightning illuminating the area in ominous light, all things coming to a stand still as if time itself had stopped, and with a low rumble the Undead would fall to the ground in dust and bones and dark ichor.

I’d like to thank Grunmin, for the amazing role-play encounter, whom acted and played an amazing undead. It’s sad to see Virak PK, but for what it’s worth he had a good run.
