Open-Response-Questions
Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.
Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? I walk up to the shopkeeper. browsing his wares. I see another man dressed in a dark cloak approach the stand. He appears to be browsing the dwarves wares, until he makes a quick movement. Before I saw that the expensive looking piece of gold and emerald jewelry was gone, the man was already disappearing into the crowd. I quickly pursued, hoping to find the man and return the jewelry to its original owner. But soon, I began to realize it was hopeless looking for a man among the thousands here in Arethor. I began to head back, disappointed that I couldn't help. But sometimes, I knew all too well that that's just what life is.
Before I could finish the thought, I saw a cloaked man slip into one of the many winding side streets in Arethor. I darted after him, shoving and pushing my way through the thicket of people in the towns market square. I entered the ally, and followed the man. He was heading towards the slums, inevitably to sell his newest grab. Before the man saw me, I had my sword drawn and pointed into his back. He slowly turned around, his hands above his head. "I saw you take that necklace from that dwarf, and if you'd kindly hand it over, this doesn't have to end with a bleeding thief, his life flashing before him in an ally. "You see, this is a big misunder..." The man didn't finish before he sent an iron fist into my left eye. I recoiled, and gave him just enough time to draw his own weapons, two jagged daggers made of steel, with brass pommels and ivory grips. He wielded them confidently. 'I'll give you one chance to turn back boy, and one chance only."
I experimentally twirled my sword, testing it's weight and balance. "Let your opponent attack first, let him go on the offensive, let him tire himself out.." he remembered his father telling him the countless hours they had practiced his swordsmanship. "Well, lets see what you can do" he snarled at the thief. He let out a tornado of blows with his dagger, overhand, backhand, sideswipe, uppercut. Daniel was forced further and further back into the ally. When the man had stopped, I made a quick thrust towards the mans chest. He leaped back, then dashed forward again into another flurry of blows. I began to regret challenging this man over some dwarfs necklace. I parried and leapt back into the ally. Then I hit the back wall. "Looks like your time is up lad, I gave you the chance". He raised his knife, ready to throw it, ending my life, but then the color drained from his face. There was a black shafted arrow protruding from his ribs, He looked down at the wound, then collapsed to the ground. At the mouth of the ally, stood one of Arethors royal archers, another arrow nocked in his recurve bow, ready to fire if the man hadn't died. He lowered his bow, then looked at the other armed man in the ally. "Now, would you mind explaining this."
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I watch, making sure not to involve myself in situations that could be avoided, I had learned this back in Arethor. But when I saw the orc raise his massive battle axe, I stepped in. "HEY, You fat ogre scum, how about you pick on somebody your own size." The Orc, startled at the remark, slowly turned and began walking in my direction. I drew my sword, but knowing it would do precious little to parry the massive the massive axe the Orc handled, I looked for an alternative. I noticed several tall trees near by, and with many with many branches to climb up. I sprinted to the nearest tree, tested the first few branches, and scrambled up. The axe slammed into the trunk of the tree, centimeters below my feet. I climbed faster, knowing I was out of the Orcs reach. The Orcs green skin almost seemed to redden with rage at the thought of being bested by a pesky human. He started swing is axe at the tree, slowly chipping it away. The tree was probably four meters thick, so it'd take him awhile, but I know what Orcs are like when they're angry, and he'll probably go through the tree twice as fast as any human. Meanwhile, I saw the Dwarf hauling for the horizon. Thanks for the help, I mumbled to myself. The tree continued to shake violently with every contact with the orcs axe, and I knew I had precious little time left. I leaped from the tree, carelessly crashing into the Orc with all my weight. The axe flew from his hands, and I scrambled up to my feet, sword drawn. The Orc scrambled to get up, only to have the business end of an iron sword jabbed into his stomach. Blood oozed from his mouth and would alike, and the Orc drifted into a deep sleep, one he'd never wake from.
Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I walk to the man, crying out in pain on the dirt road to Malinor. I quickly set the man up against a fallen tree trunk, and gather his scattered Minas. I take the bag, and fill it with his Minas, then set out to find a replacement stick. I found a sapling, about a meter and a hlaf in height. I tested it, and it seemed stable enough, I hacked down the sapling with my sword, then hurried back to the man. I lifted him to his feet, putting the sapling in his hands as I did so. "Thank you kind sir, what is your name?" the old man croaked out. "I am Daniel Redmont of Arethor." I replied. "Well Daniel, you have my eternal thanks, and may your ancestors smile upon you." I smiled back at the man, then started back on my long journey back to Arethor.

In-Character Details
Character Name:Ryan Freeman
Character Race:Human
Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Daniel Freeman is a simple minded, kind boy who follows orders and stays out of trouble. He is very disciplined, partly because of his his fathers insistence of good manners and kindness. His father, William Freeman was a simple farmhand, going through hard labor to provide for his family. Daniels mother, Elizabeth Freeman spun wool and helped out around their small cottage. When Daniel was 19, he was hired as a farm guard. It was a dull job, but Daniel needed what money he could get. One day, Daniel was defending the Jefferson farm. It was a small, 5 acre barely farm. 3 bandits showed up, with pikes, swords and black-dyed leather armor. They came demanding any valuables on the farm, a typical rogue procedure, Daniel had thought. When one of the rogues raised a pike over the farmers head, Daniel had decided that it was time to step in. He came out of nowhere, kicking the rogue with his weapon readied hard in the ribs. The man doubled over, and met the flat of Daniels sword across his temple. He fell to the ground, unconscious. The second man drew his sword just in time to parry one of Daniels thrusts. The parry was clumsy, and left a wide open gap in his side. Daniel quickly turned around and swung a devastating backhand stroke into the mans ribs. He dropped to his knees, holding the deep gash in his side. By the, the third man had his sword drawn and readied. He brought down and overhead strike, but Daniel saw it from a mile away and quickly bobbed to the side. Daniel quickly seized the man into a grapple and brought him to the ground. He threw two heavy handed punches into the mans nose before he even knew what had hit him. Daniel quickly drew his dagger, and attempted to plunge his dagger into the mans throat. A hand caught his arm with an iron grip, and easily threw him to the side. He looked up, and saw the man who he had backslashed. His face was red with rage, and there was an indescribable hate in his eyes. The face was drained of all it's color when a pitchfork drove it's was through the mans abdomen. The farmer quickly yanked his pitchfork out and drove it into the man on the ground, still stunned by Daniels punches. That was probably the most interesting encounter in Daniels life. But scenes like those often happened, but not on quite such a dramatic scale.
What are your characters ambitions?: To help protect his fellow man from raiders and robbers, and to be as kind and well mannered as he can.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? Daniel goes up to the shopkeeper, looking over his wares, despite not having the money to buy many expensive things. He eyes a beautifully crafted, Dwarven sword. He politely asks the shopkeeper where it's from. "Oh, I brought her back from the homeland. Quick a beauty, isn't she". "Sure is, how much would a blade like this cost" Daniel inquired. Right as the Dwarf was about to answer, two men came barging in the door. "Oi, look man! It's the poor little dwarf, trying to make a living!". "Hey how about you pack up, and leave this city, you dirty Dwarf!". The man accompanying him snickered, even though the joke was obviously not funny. "How about you leave him alone, you filthy street rat". Daniel sat up, and got into the mans face. The mans nose was badly twisted, obviously from having it broken too many times. "Oh, and who might this be, you sly Dwarf"! The Dwarf recoiled further back into the shop. "How about you leave him alone, and we wont have a problem" Daniel said defiantly. "Ooo, and i'm supposed to be scar..." The man never got the last word out as Daniel struck him across the Jaw with a wicked right hook. He grabbed the second man, and smashed him in the nose several times with his fist. He grabbed both men by their collars, and dragged them back out into the street. He hated racist scum like them.
You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? Daniel goes up, recognizing the dwarf as the one he had encountered several days before. He watched the situation for several seconds, until he sees the Orc draw his massive battle-ax. The Dwarf screamed and managed to leap out of the way of the first strike. As the massive orc drew his axe up again, he met the blade of Daniels sword to his battle-ax. The sudden force threw the blade to the ground. And as soon as the Orc bent down to grab him weapon, the point of Daniels dagger was at his throat. "Walk away" were the only words the humiliated orc had to hear before running off into the night. "The shaking dwarf stood up, and handed Daniel 3 pieces of silver. "It's all I have on me, thank you so much!" the dwarf exclaimed. Daniel accepted to silver, and wandered off into the night.

What does your character do?:Daniel hurridly goes down to the side of the man, seeing if any injuries are done. The man seems alright, and Daniel heaves him up onto his feet, holding him up. He gives the man his sword to lean on. He picks up all the coins and places them back into the mans bag. He goes into the nearby woods, and finds a large stick suitable for walking on. He hands it to the man, and goes on his way, satisfied with himself.
