    In-Character Details

    Character Name: Arathorn Stormcrow

    Character Race: Human

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary: Arathorn was born in Ager to parents Sophia and Aren Stormcrow. As Arathorn grew up, his physical features favored his father, having dark hair, peach colored skin, dull green eyes, and standing at 5'11" by the time he was an adult. Arathorn grew up farming wheat with his father while his mother prepared meals and kept the house clean and educated him. He began working the fields with his father around the age of six, and learned how to farm quite well over the years with the skills he was taught by his father.

Arathorn's father enjoyed hunting and fishing as a hobby and a way to make extra money and to feed the family. He began showing Arathorn how to effectively fish and hunt at a young age so that he would be able to sustain himself and live off the land when his parents were dead and gone. His father would set up bales of hay and logs for Arathorn to practice his aim with a bow on. He showed him how to make a bow from wood and string and how to make his own arrow heads and arrows, as well as how to tie a sturdy string to a straight stick to make a fishing pole. By the age of fifteen, Arathorn was capable of wielding a bow to hunt quite well and knew many things to make fishing and farming very profitable. The education he had been receiving from his mother through the years stuck well with him, as he could read and write rather well for his age.

Arathorn didn't realize it as he was growing up, but his parents were grooming him to be able to survive in the world and do something other than farm wheat for all of his life. At the age of twenty, he was now a young adult and was able to wield a bow, farm wheat, among other crops, fish, and read and write fairly well. All the years of physical work in the fields made him physically fit and the skills he learned and practiced over the years allowed him live off the land, survive, and start his own family when the time was right. So his parents sent him on his way and while he wasn't opposed to the idea of getting out in the world and exploring and seeing all there was to see, he was sad to leave home. With a few provisions packed, he set off for the nearby capital city of Arethor, where he would begin his life, unsure where he would wind up in the future.

What are your characters ambitions?: To explore the world, make friends, and make his own way in the world however he chooses.

Please provide an in-game screenshot of your skin here:S90s7.png

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: He is young and somewhat scared of going into the world alone, but wants to make his own way in life, and will do what he needs to in order to survive and make it in the world.

    Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response? As I entered Arethor, I heard a peculiar voice calling out nearby, "Come see my fine wares!" the voice said. I stepped over to the shopkeeper, who was clearly a dwarf and I felt pity for him. No one seemed to be paying him any mind. "Hello there", I said to the dwarf and he responded in a grizzled tone, "Have you come to insult me as everyone else has, or to actually buy something? If you're not here for business, be on your way!" I was taken aback slightly by his immediate aggression. "I mean you no harm, dwarf. I'm merely here to look at what you have for sale and I'm interested in that fishing pole you have. How much is it?" He seemed startled that I wasn't there to argue or insult him. He suddenly seemed as if he felt bad for snapping at me before and began to say, "Ah... well I'm sorry for being so rude before. Many have disgraced me today simply because I am not of your kind. You are different and represent your people well. The fishing pole is eight minas, a discount for you." I smiled at the dwarf and reached in the pocket of my worn trousers, laying out eight minas and taking the fishing pole in the other hand, I stepped off on my way, hearing the dwarf begin his chanting for the people to look at his wares once more.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do? I looked up the road to see a surprising sight, one that instantly made me nervous. A large Orc was standing, towering over a dwarf and yelling in a deep voice in a language I did not understand. I stepped forward a bit and spoke up, "What's going on here?" The dwarf began to speak in a trembling tone, "I wa-was looking at my map here and... well I bumped into him along the path. I can't understand him... but he's clearly angry." He gulped as he finished. Suddenly the Orc looked up towards me and yelled, "Krimp Klomp Stowts!" I had no idea what he was trying to say, but I tried to calm him down. "The dwarf isn't worth your time, just be on your way. Its too late to be out arguing like this." He seemed to respond in a hostile manner, letting out another yell. Being smaller and more agile than the Orc, I imagined I could out maneuver and out run him. I quickly drew a short blade I carried with me for skinning animals and made a motion to challenge the Orc. As he moved to face me, I yelled to the dwarf, "Run, quickly!" The Orc let out what I assume is a battle cry of sorts and charged at me. I quickly jumped to the side and began to sprint towards the nearby treeline, where I ran as fast as I could. I looked back after a few minutes and didn't see the Orc, but I could hear his cries behind me as he crashed through the forest. Eventually, I heard nothing as I slipped through the trees and assumed he stopped his chase.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?: I was just about to ask an old man passing by how much further Malinor was, when his walking stick suddenly gave way to his weight and snapped. The man fell to the ground. "Are you okay, old man?!" I said as I rushed over to him, noticing a bag of minas had spilled on the ground. "Oohhhh my hip!" The old man yelled out in pain. I knelt down, helping him to his knees and said, "Here, let me gather your minas for you. Are you able to walk?" As I began to pick up the old man's minas and put them in a pouch, he spoke. "You are a kind young man. I think I'll be fine, but I need help to walk." As I finished gathering the minas in the pouch, I walked over to a nearby tree and attempted to pull a sturdy, low branch from it. After having a bit of difficulty, the branch finally snapped off. I broke off the smaller branches sticking off of it and handed to the old man, along with his pouch of minas. He smiled as he spoke once more, "What is your name, young man?" I smiled back and said, "Arathorn, son of Aren." He nodded once to me and thanked me as he hobbled on down the road. I stayed back to make sure he got down the road safely, and then continued on towards Malinor.
