    In-Character Details

    Character Name: Doorin Runebeard

    Character Race: Dwarf

Character biography - Make this at least 2 paragraphs long, which must explain your character’s history, appearance, personality, age and any other details you deem necessary:

Doorin is a young (10 seasons old), regularly sized dwarf, with a long blonde beard, and runic tattoos on his arms and forehead. Due to working in the mines for several years, he has accumalated many scars, and marks, as well as a healthy and buffed body. Many years of combat and mining have shaped this dwarf's personality to that of a stout and serious one, apart from when he's had a couple of pints... Then he might loosen up a bit.

Doorin is the son of Baradon Runebeard, who was the son of a Thane of some long forgotten fortress (Both deceased). Runebeard is an old clan-name that a group of cave dwarves clinged to ages passed. They have a huge interest for history, runes, mystical powers, and ancestory... They love, or well, loved investigating their past, and looked for clues to any hidden bits of Urguan's story. Doorin seeks to regain some of the fortune and fame that his family's name once held, by establishing his own fortress, and making a mine, and library, to look for relics, and store records of discoveries and uncovered history.

Doorin's past is somewhat of a mystery to himself. His father, whom for the record missed Doorin's birth due to being close to uncovering some secluded mystery in some old forgotten cave, died in a mining accident. His mother, Olga Runebeard, disappeared not long after the news of Baradon's death reached her. All Doorin has from his parents is a book, stating some history of the Runebeards, and his father's reserve pickaxe.

There are other Runebeards scattered around, of course, but they remain to be revealed.

What are your characters ambitions?: To build a fortress, and establish a mine. To regain his family's pride, and uncover his family's history.

Is there anything else you would like to say about your character: Not really.

    Open-Response-Questions

Each question here must be answered with a minimum of one full paragraph, and detail the scene you are given in the way it would happen in roleplay. These questions should be answered in first person. Be detailed, not short.

Upon entering the Mighty Human City of Arethor, you come across a shop-keeper calling out to sell his wares to passers-by. The shopkeeper is not a Human, he is a poor dwarf looking to make a living in a new city. What is your response?

As I walk past my kinsman, and recognize his sore situation, I check my pockets for any money... I think to myself; "I don't really -need- anything, but it'd be nice to support a kinsman." I realize I'm out of money to spend, having used it all on materials to craft necessary mining tools myself. I shrug my shoulders, and call back at the kinsman; "Perhaps another time lad!" I shake my head at the guys sad excuse of a stall, before walking onwards.

You’re wandering the Oren Road late at night, when a large Orc begins to threaten a nearby dwarf. There is no help nearby, and the situation looks like it will escalate into violence soon, what does your character do?

Walking along Oren Road, I spot a Kinsman, and a uruk arguing close by. I roar, at the top of my lungs, in the ancient dwarven tongue, a battlecry. I draw my pickaxe and run towards my kinsman. As I approach the two, I see the orc drawing his battle axe, slowly, before running at my kinsman. I take my trusty family pickaxe, and throw it at the orc, making him stumble and loose his sense of direction. My kinsman decapitate the orc, before going over to me to thank me. I notice his arm, which is simply dangling from a piece of flesh, and point it out to him. He probably didn't notice due to the adrenalin. I take the orc's axe (Since my kinsman's axe is covered in orc blood), help amputate my kinsmans' arm, and use a torch he had with him to sear the wound shut. After bandaging it, he thanks me, and we head our separate ways.

Whilst walking down the road to Malinor, you stumble upon an old man. His walking stick , looks weak and frail, and just as you are about to ask something, the stick breaks, and the man falls to the ground. As he falls down, a bag of Minas falls to the ground, and splits open. As you watch the multiple coins spill out, you peer down at the defenceless man. What does your character do?:

I notice the bag, falling to the ground... I think to myself "I could really use that money...", before looking at the poor man, groaning from the fall. I decide to be a nice lad, and break off a stick on a nearby tree, giving it to the man for him to use as a new walking stick. I help him a bit along the way, before he thanks me and pays me some minas in return, and answering my question, which i was about to ask before he fell to the ground.
