Hammer just missunderstood and didn't comprehend that if you have energy entering and leaving earth, that it can stay at a mostly constant average temperature.

I understood what you are saying. But what I was saying is that constant energy must be given to earth in order for it to stay the same temperature. When you set an oven to a certain temperature, it doesnt heat up to that then turn off, it stays at that temperature because if it didnt, it would cool down. Constant energy is being dumped into earth, increasing the Entropy. Even after nightfall, the earth doesnt drop down to 0 kelvin. That is because there is still energy going to the earth. Make sense?

Also, in the Bible it says to not mix fabrics (meaning you can't wear clothing that's part cotton and part polyester). Let me ask you this, do YOU wear mixed fabrics? Unless you're Amish and wear only wool clothing, but you can't be since you have a computer, so who says that people can't adapt to modern times (ie. accept gay marriage as a legitament thing)? Also, it's not like making gay marriage illegal will stop gays, they'll still exist, but without a marriage certificate.

That is because it was the norm in that time period, as it always has been. Does Paul not say, in the New Testament, "Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ" (Colossians 2:8)? Does he also not say, "“For if a law had been given that was able to give life, then righteousness would certainly be by the law. 22 But the Scripture has imprisoned everything under sin’s power, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe” (Galatians 3:21-22)? The Law is no longer necessary, only faith in Jesus Christ. Faith, of course, entails trying to be like Christ, which is following the Ten Commandments. I would rather homosexual marriage than adultery, which is condoned by Jesus and Paul and the authors of the New Testament.

I would say something to refute that, because I do know some scriptures that could go against this, but Song Druid said I coudnt, so i cant...

I could go on a rant about such justifications, which are negated by other parts of religious texts (i.e., gay sex, which had been prohibited in Leviticus, which was the Book of Ceremonial Jewish Law, which Jesus SPECIFICALLY SAID you don't need anymore since he is the only requirement... Sorry :3), but I won't.

In their time period, religion was a perfectly valid excuse to kill others. It was regarded as law of the land. And Evolution is no valid excuse to kill others. Just because a few people take a misconception and preach that as evil does not make it a valid reason to kill others.  

 

And how do we know these tools were not used by humans? I'll explain. It is not speculation at all. It is proven fact.

 

Aside from the fact that these tools were found at Neanderthal campsites that were dated to predate any human settlement in the region, and they did not match wounds in dead Neanderthals (to show that they were not used by humans), Homo sapiens sapiens had a completely different style of tools than Neanderthals. The images I showed in my previous post were in specific, Neanderthal Spear heads. I will show another image below, (being a replica of the spear) 

This spear was long, heavy, and was distinctly large pointed. This made this spear cumbersome and impossible to throw. This made the Neanderthal Spears mostly used as stabbing weapons. Do not try to refute the fact that Neanderthals used tools. There is no evidence that shows they did not use stone axes, flint knives, and spears. I digress. Humans on the other hand, had the upper hand, or spear I should say. With coming climate changes and whatnot, species were forced to adapt or face destruction. Early hominids did not receive special treatment. Homo Sapiens developed spears which were very similar to the one pictured below. 

 

Notice the ratio of the size of the spear head to the length and width of the spear. This weapon was throw-able, and for the first time, gave the Humans range. Range that the Neanderthals did not have. This competition, coupled with the fact of the caloric consumption of their burly bodies, probably led to the Neanderthal's demise. If you still think that Neanderthals did not use tools, I would be glad to show you more pictures and evidence. But there has to be a point where the amount of evidence proves it to be a fact.

Prrroman, you misunderstood me. I wasnt saying that people were perfect before Evolution, but rather that they didnt have a valid excuse for what they did. Now they do... thats all I was saying.

Neanderthals buried their dead, and observed the world around them, using tools and fire.

I really dont see how we can actually know this without a time machine...

If more energy is going in than out, then the object gets hotter or faster. The Earth is staying at roughly the same temperature, so heat in and heat out of the atmosphere are roughly similar.

 

Everyone here seems to be mixing up entropy and energy a lot.

The Energy is absorbed into certain plants and animals, making the earth as a whole have a higher entropy.... that was what we were getting at...

It is entirely possible that God created other humans on earth....

There is a balance, and that is how the entropy of the earth stays the same.

If thats so, then wouldnt the energy just cancel itself out and earth become semi-closed? or am I just not understanding...

EDIT: wait! I think i get it! If the same amount of energy coming into earth is going out, then earth would be a giant ice ball, because it would make it at 0 kelvin. it is clear that the earth is not at 0 kelvin, thus energy must be coming into earth constantly to make it the temperature it is.... am i making any sense here?

Far more energy is coming into earth than is going out.... otherwise earth would be a giant ice-ball...

The Adam and Eve "inconsistency" of the Bible is not an inconsistency at all. When we know that a Creative Force must have existed to create the universe, that is all we can say about the creation. We cannot say in what manner he created the universe, because while it was being created there was none but the Creative Force to observe it. The story surrounding Adam and Eve is perfectly possible. Any actions that the Creative Force takes meddling with His creation don't have to follow the otherwise standard laws of the universe, because the Force Itself isn't even a part of the universe. The supposed inconsistencies with the Adam and Eve story are none.

NO, evolution has NOTHING to do with the universe. It only has to do with the evolution of SPECIES, not planets, not the big bang, not in other planets, just species of earth.

Also, even if it were to happen all over the universe, you can never generalize the universe, and use it as whole, to talk about occurences which happen in specific areas.

Also, yes, when evolution or anything that requires energy happens, then something else gets more 'chaotic', but nothing devolves. While open systems might decresse in enthropy, the systems around it will incresse in it, at least one of them. If you combine all open systems, you get the universe, which would be considered a closed system. Only THEN does the acumulated enthropy of EVERY single open system will result in the UNIVERSAL enthopy to be rising.

Evolution must be occurring all over the universe if it is true... what difference would one planet able to hold life be from another planet able to hold life? And yes, universal entropy would increase! Which means that if something were to evolve, something else would become more disorderly! Right?

Next thing, what is the problem with me pointing out one of the many contradictions in the bible? I remind you that he asked me to name one... and on that hand, he hasn't retorted.

I thought it was a joke... you really didnt explain yourself. You just said "Adam and Eve". I see no contradiction here.... that is why I have not refuted it.

No, but if Evolution were true, then it is occurring all over the entire universe, which means... We cant just concentrate on Earth... you must look at the universe as a whole! If evolution is true, when something evolves, something else must be getting more chaotic, or devolving...
