  1. Will mining just be break the ore and it'll never show up again? Because I think it'd be cool if the ore turns into cobblestone then respawns an hour later. That way GMs don't need to regen the mines or something. They can just make a cool looking mine, add auto re spawning ores with an hour's way, and leave it. I don't know if it'd work in practice or would provide too much ores a nation could mine easily, but it sounds cool imo.

The mines do have auto-regening ore that does not have to be manually regenerated by GMs.

  2. They have no fixed player limit and could grow if they want. And why wouldn't it need a spotlight? A spotlight doesn't mean showing what they do, but turning attention to them. If Oren was a tiny little ratty town with a handful of players it would need a spotlight, something that makes people turn to it and remember they are there. Perhaps even think "Hell, I've never played this race but now that there is something that might attract more RP to them, I might just try!"

Thats how it would be here.

(Not saying Kha lands are ratty, I love how they were built.)

    @Tornado

Well then cease the war and try to improve relations.

I apologize, I had thought they had a fixed player base for some reason.

I just don't think it makes sense that a small island nation all of a sudden has a private iron mine, yet a nation with actual mountain ranges does not.

  3. That means the small playerbase might get a little bit of the spotlight and can become a little more important and possibly grow.

Isn't the Kharajyr player base meant to stay small? It doesn't need a "spotlight" because everyone already knows what they are, what they do, and the type of RP they offer.

  4. I believe I mentioned this earlier, but no worries.

Essentially, it promotes trade. Humans need iron and hardened stained clay (cause it will kill the wool house epidemic), but I would not give them both. Since other Nations also have iron but not clay, we decided that it would be more fair if Humans did not have it. As was mentioned earlier, Nations were not given what they were given because they wanted it or needed it, they were given a mix of what they need and what they don't need.

I would not be creating such a fuss if the Humans did not have such a useless ore, and the smallest player base of all Anthos was given the most important.

  5. It is all good, I just want to let people know for future reference that damage from the Magic Plugin heals itself. If there is any demarcations, I would urge it to roleplay-fixed for the sake of dynamism.

As you may have seen on the other thread, Cirdanoth plans to make some permanent damage.

P.S.: gaius my boy why do you do event in kralta when hunwald is away

  6. Out-Of-Character Information
Please fill out the following questions as accurately as possible, and ensure the essential details are accurate.

    Main Account Name: oHawkZo
    Alternate Account Name: Hunwald
How old are you?: I'm 15 years old.
Time-Zone: I live in the UTC/GMT -5 hours (EST) timezone.
Have you read, understood and agreed to the rules?: I have read, understood, and agreed to the rules.
What previous experience have you had in role-playing?: I've played on this server for several months, that's really it.

    Definitions
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!:

Role-playing: Role-playing is the act of stepping into another's shoes and playing out their life. You place yourself into their body and act out their emotions, physical attitude, actions, and thoughts.

Meta-gaming: Meta-gaming is the act of using OOC (out-of-character) information IC (in-character). This can be done by using IG messages, Skype, OOC forum posts, and TeamSpeak. Examples of meta-gaming can be messaging your friends to come aid you in a fight (without proper roleplay), telling your TeamSpeak buddies you are being robbed at a certain location, or using player's profiles to detect weaknesses and feelings.

Power-emoting: Power-emoting (otherwise known as power-gaming) is the act of your character doing things IG or on the roleplay forums that they would not be able to do. This act spreads far and wide, and can revolve around many actions. Examples of this could be an apprentice blacksmith crafting a master's blade, a Halfling killing an Orc with ease, killing another character in one emote, not 'attempting' to do actions and simply doing them, etc. Power-emoting can also be called god-moding, where a character is invincible and doesn't react to actual hurtful blows.

    In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

    Full Name: Elaverir

Current Age: Elaverir is currently 132 years of age.

    Race: Elaverir is an Elf.

Sub-race (if any): Elaverir is of the Wood Elf bloodline.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Elaverir was born to two Wood Elf parents of pure linage. His father was an explorer and heart who struck love with a cook, his mother. His parents did not enjoy city life much, as they were not very talkative -- favoring actions over words. They resided in a cottage a few miles from the capital of Malinor, Leumalin. Elaverir's parents only spoke common, giving Elaverir no knowledge of the language the Elves of Malinor began to speak. They did not teach Elaverir many customs of the Elves, as they had no need for it. It was only once in a few years that they would travel to the capital, and that would only be on special occasions.

Elaverir began his training in archery during his teenage years. At first, like all beginners, he was quite clumsy and unskilled. His father worked to change this. They often, as a family, left their cottage and went on trips to explore and attempt to reach places further and further away from home, to simply gather knowledge and enlightenment. Over the years, Elaverir became more and more skilled with a bow. His life at the cottage left Elaverir skilled, but left him without many social skills and modern Elven culture.

Before reaching his adulthood, Elaverir already had a knack for exploration and adventure. He often left his family's cottage in search for artifacts (to which he found none) or plants and animals. He could climb and was a quick runner, but this did not stop him from failing. Elaverir has had two broken legs, which makes his current legs a bit weaker than others. He cannot take large blows to them, or else he will fall and be rendered useless. He also has little to no skill in swordsmanship. His skill in archery progressed to the point which it is now, which is quite skilled but not still yet an expert.

Elaverir, who is now in adulthood, decided along with his parents that he would leave home. He would make his way to Malinor, to truly find out what his purpose in life is. All his childhood he had longed to find the large tree homes of the Elves, and it is an ambition of his to do so.

Ambitions for the FutureElaverir has plenty ambitions, but he is currently most focused on finding Leumalin. He is also keen on exploring Anthos. He is an explorer by trade and plans to do that most of his life. Another ambition could be delving into ruins and finding exotic things, but that is put after exploration.

PersonalityElaverir enjoys boasting about his exploration and feats. He is not cocky but occasionally takes his stories overboard. He is calm and will not fight unless his or his own are threatened to the point of death or extreme pain. Elaverir is friendly and enjoys learning and exploration. He does not have many social skills and will not talk much unless needed to. He is curious, but sometimes his curiosity snaps back at him.

SkillsElaverir is excellent with a bow, which is his primary weapon of choice should he need to choose one. He is agile and quick, but extremely clumsy with a blade. He is keen with his senses which he uses to explore and navigate. He does not have many social skills, to which grants him shyness and curiosity.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):

Elaverir has light cinnamon colored skin. He has dirty-blonde hair which he keeps short but does not cut much. He has pine green eyes. He's quite slim but is not very strong or built, as he does not much care for fitness other than the work he does. He wears clothing that represents his life style and his culture, which usually involves greens and browns as seen above. His clothing allows him to maneuver yet keep conservative at the same time.

Any other details you wish to share about your characterHe is extremely clumsy with swords. Elaverir could be set under the true neutral alignment as this time.

  8. My final thoughts before I go off for the night:

    • This is a roleplay server. If you DON'T /WANT/ to roleplay battles, and instead use mc mechanics then why are you here? Roleplay not PvP...
    • If you feel pressured and that you aren't good enough at roleplay, then LEARN to roleplay because this is a roleplay server.
    • And finally learn to be just damn tolerant and nice.

Please read the whole thread before posting exactly what 10-20 RP supports have posted, and read the arguments against them.
