  1. A plain letter is sent to the King of Ruska, bearing no seal or marking. Upon breakage of its regular seal and a unfolding of the letter, you'd find the contents of the letter to be short, simply reading:

    _________________________________________________________________________

To The King Who Carries On Our Seal,

We wish you luck, and ever bounding good fortune. May the light of the Creator shine upon your kingdom, and may you always stand vigilant against the forces that plague our world. Be ferocious in attack and cunning in defense, and always remember that your old friends are watching.

May you live long with bolstered strength, integrity, and faith.

    _________________________________________________________________________

The letter ends without a signature or any other form of marking.

  2. [[Due to the fact I'm FORUM BANNED STILL, I need to reply on this account.]]

The quiet scratching of a quill echoes throughout the small scriptorium. The middle-aged friar sat hunched over in his bench, tirelessly etching onto the parchment. The room was small, but was certainly not empty. Bookcases and tables filled with religious scriptures translated and untranslated lie about, all under the gentle care of the friar. He had been working tirelessly in the citadel of Ard Kerrack, the home of the Order of the White Rose, tasked with translating the ancient scriptures of the Rose's patron saint, Owyn. It was tedious work, but work nonetheless, and the friar was content. The friar dipped his quill back into the inkwell, dabbing it at its side as he sets to scratching again, only to have a boy enter the room; disturbing the quiet peace the friar had learned to enjoy.

"Friar Martin. A message directly from the High Pontiff."

    "Thank you, my child..."

The boy slid the letter onto the edge of the desk and exited quickly, leaving the friar to his solitude. Martin dipped the quill back into the inkwell, letting both it and his hands some rest as he picks up the letter, unfolding it and narrowing his eyes, focusing on the text before him. After a careful but quickened read, the friar nods slowly, allowing a calm smile to creep across his face.

"It appears our Holy Father has decided it best to convene a conclave. And so I shall attend, for the betterment of our religion and the furtherment of its practices, both here and abroad. For all are deserved of our Creator's love, and what better way to attain it if not through our church?"

A light chuckle releases from his somewhat frail lips as he turns himself on the bench, reaching forward for his cane at the side of the desk. With a strained grunt he rises, and positions his feet carefully, for the poor friar's foot had been the subject of gout, and the friar condemned(or blessed, in his eyes) to walk with a cane. And with a few more grunts he urged himself forward, caning slowly out of the quiet scriptorium. He took his time, for although this was a call by the High Pontiff himself, the humble friar always managed to be late to these affairs; this occasion being no different.

  4. The Ranking Structure of the Order

    Senior Command

    Grand Master

    Peter Chivay(Sheumgal)

This office is for life, and the Grand Master is in charge of the entire Order, worldwide. A Grand Master may retire, but for the most part, dying was the only way out of the job, as resigning from such a position would be a black stain on their honor. The Grand Master reserves a seat in the White Rose Council.

    Master and Commander

    Thomas Chivay(SKiddles) | Lucien Ashford(Viscen)

The Master and Commander is the overall commander of the Order. Under the Grand Master, he has complete command in the field. The Master and Commander may also manage specific sections of the Order and further delegate the overall management of the Order. The Master and Commander reserves a seat in the White Rose Council.

    Confanonier (Captain)

    Bran Volsung

The Confanonier is in charge of all Enlisted and assumes indirect control when out in the field. He is their paymaster, their overall trainer, and a role model to all ranks. There is only permitted one Captain in service, and reserves a seat in the White Rose Council.

    High Command

    Senior Knight

The Senior Knight has shown his ability to command, lead, and battle effectively. They are considered advisors to the Confanonier and Senior Command, and will often be given command of a detachment of Knights, whether it be during battle, occupation, or general procedures. Upon special occasion, the Senior Knights may be permitted a seat in the White Rose Council. Most Senior Knights are nobles within the Empire, and share a value in its decisions.

    Decurion

The Decurion is the grizzled Order soldier, proven time and time again of their dedication and devotion to the Order, by either means of battle or administration. The Decurion are usually at the center of any Order battle line, and their driving experience is able to inspire Order members all around them, pushing them to extremities. The Decurion is the last rank a lowborn may achieve.

    Decurion Specialized Ranks

    Quartermaster

The Quartermaster is tasked with the proper maintenance of all military supplies that come with being a battle-hardened Order. The Quartermaster has a level head and an eye for organization, and is the man to see for non-standard weapon or armour requisitions. The Quartermaster will also work closely with the Seneschal of the Order to help keep proper records and avoid confusion. The Quartermaster is considered a specialized Decurion, and has the same privileges as the rank entails.

    Disciplinary

The Disciplinary is tasked with upholding and maintaining the highest form of discipline within the Enlisted ranks of the Order. They are the prioritized man who will issue most lashings and other disciplinary actions at the consent of a High Command or on his own accord. The Disciplinary is to be well respected within the Enlisted ranks, and will not hesitate to lay down a gauntlet of fear and organization to achieve a rank-and-file professional force. The Disciplinary is also considered a specialized Decurion, and has the same privileges as the rank entails.

    Low Command

    Knight

The Knight is the acting lieutenant in the field, able to command over a detachment of Enlisted with ease. The Knights are the elite soldiers of the Rose, and should be treated as such. The Knights are also personal advisors to the Senior Knights, and are able to take on a Squire for the Knight’s own personal needs, like caring for his arms and armor.

    Ensign

The Ensign is a junior officer and the first opportunity to command contingents of Order soldiers. The Ensign may also be tasked with leading a specialized force of the Order, such as scouts or a vanguard. The Ensign should not consider himself superior to the Enlisted, and reports of elitism will be dealt with severely.

    Enlisted

    Man-at-arms

The Man-at-arms are the backbone of the Order’s military forces. The Man-at-arms are instructed by the High Command, making up the main battle line, the Man-at-arms is the rank-and-file soldier of the Order, who follows orders willingly and obediently. The Man-at-arms is to respect every member of the High and Senior Command, and must refuse to contradict their orders in a public setting. If a critique is absolutely necessary, the Man-at-arms may request a private audience. It is at this rank where they shall take their official oaths to the Order.

    Footman

The Footman has finally taken his oaths and proven himself capable of receiving full-time training and is considered a recruit in the eyes of the Order, and will either receive official training from the High Command, or through a personal apprenticeship with a Men-at-arms or anyone in High Command. Much like the Men-at-arms, the Footman must obey and respect all command in the Order, and no private audience on critique is to be granted.

    Unoathed

The Unoathed is an initiate in the Order, who seeks to prove himself worthy of taking official oaths and proper training. The Unoathed can be considered to be under a trial phase for possible entries, and will receive basic training to determine their worth. Unoathed are not required to take oaths, and the Unoathed is also considered not officially of the Order; their actions not the responsibility of the White Rose.

    Non-Combatant Ranks

    Seneschal

The Seneschal is tasked with all matters involving the treasury, and is also expected to lead most civil construction projects, as well as maintaining the lands of the Order however he sees fit. The Seneschal may take on Ledger Assistants to help delegate projects.

    Ledger Assistant

The Ledger Assistant is a subordinate of the Seneschal, and does the will of his command. The Ledger Assistant may often be tasked with managing a small section of the Order, primarily non-combatant affairs.

    Medical Assistant

This rank is tasked with performing the medical tasks of the Order, while staying out of direct combat. Similar to that, they will still be close to the battle however, and are expected to be able to handle the horrors of war. This is the only rank where women are applicable.

    Conseiller

The Conseiller is a non-combatant advisor to the Senior Command and more often has the knowledge of all dealings other than combat. They are helpful to consult when non-combatant matters are presented, and although they may not command anyone in the order without express consent from the Senior Command, their suggestions are valuable and respected.

    The History of the Order

The Order of the White Rose is anything but old. They do not hold deep roots within Aegis, nor do they start back since the beginning of time. Starting first on the continent of Asulon, it had all began from the ideas of a Commander, his brother, and two close friends and companions. An Order that will abide by the rules of the church, all while protecting the sanctity of the Empire and the holiness of the Race of Man. The official Order however, had not formed till much after the idea was first created. This was due in-part of the Renatian nobility’s constant rejection of the idea and being able to come to fruition. Thankfully, the Chivay family had come into nobility, finally allowing them the power to create this Order under themselves and allowing the recruitment of a few former friends and allies.

The Order's first holding was the Barony of Rivia, located just outside Ildon County. Its significance as the first official Order stronghold is always remembered with its members, and although simple in design and hardly defensible, the stronghold had a lasting and nostalgic effect on the Rose, and held significant importance to the Order's beginnings. Rivia is always remembered, and always praised. And with their Order firmly set in their first stronghold, they now sought to expand both their influence and their status within the Empire; and did so with massive recruitment, training, and military operations. It was this growing popularity and population that encouraged the Order to look for a newer, larger keep. One that would accommodate all the needs of this rapidly growing Order.

And so they looked to purchasing new land. Land unused in decades, and land perfect for the Order. This land was Ceru, the abandoned High Elf colony in the Duchy of the Holy Lands. Purchased from a fellow Rose and then the Lord Regent of Auvergne, Edmond Brunswick, the land was taken under ownership of the Order, and formally renamed Krak du Rhoswen, which in the Chivay Commanders' native tongue stood for "Fortress of the White Rose".  It was here that the Order really gained its renown, and started to develop an infamy that carried on with their actions. From firing lines of crossbows in Solace, to the burning of the heretical city known as Crestfall in the Holy Lands, the White Rose had made a name for themselves; a name of both praise and hatred.

But as the final days of Asulon came, the White Rose was forced to leave their bastion of Krak du Rhoswen after long days of siege, and flee with the rest of the Empire east; away from the destruction of the entire continent.

Their landing in the dubbed land of Elysium did not prove a setback, but instead a new opportunity. Almost immediately did the Order establish a camp and set to gathering resources for a keep worthy to carry their name.

    Religious Devotion

It is required that every member of the Order attend both a private and public prayer every Elven week to show his religious devotion to both our Creator and our Patron Saint Owyn, or risk exile from the Order with all former possessions stripped. A public prayer consists of no less than one other Order member, and must be performed at a chapel or other external altar.

    Mass

It is also required that every member attempt to attend a public sermon within the Holy Oren Empire, and also participate in confession when offered by the Clergy.

    Knowledge of Owyn

Every member of the Order will now be required to have a basic knowledge of the Order's Patron Saint, Owyn. Instruction and teachings of Saint Owyn will be held throughout the Order member's career to better understand and praise our Patron.
