  1. *Another note is pinned.*

    Valid arguments have been presented and I have spoken to Mister Calith. He is pardoned for his bravery,and up-taking the dark force for our own safety. Despite all of this I still suggest we monitor all magic, as it is highly dangerous especially if the shadow minion can use it. Until the shadow problem is solved we must take great precautions including elven language tests, purity tests, magic monitoring, etc.

    On another note, Miss Dasyra has refused to be interviewed on the subject despite her being the first one to be possessed [Acoording to sources]. This may be a potential threat, so it will be investigated further.

  2. We aren't humans but we have a cool mage hunting approach!

    If you are interested in anti-magical High Elves living within a magical High Elven society, and planning to be mage hunters, join us! We are a very friendly and fun group. http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/97650-elibaracal-out-of-character-recruitment/#entry884846

    Custom and pre-made positions available. Anti-magic too!

  3. YCDan5y.png

    Note: If you missed the title, this is an Out of Character Recruitment post.

    WANTED:

    • Responsible and active members.
    • Members that are willing to create a villain and [anti] magic application.
    • Reasonably able role-players.

    These are the few qualities you need to join Elibar'acal! This High Elven Bloodline is a anti-magical one that follows almost all Mali'aheral principals and beliefs except magic.

    Summary on Elibar'acal:

    The members of Elibar'acal despise, no, LOATHE magic users. When the Mali'aheral first bathed in the golden pools, they gained a significant thirst for knowledge leading them to obtain magical powers. One particular family [Elibar'acal] disagreed with magic, seeing it as a danger and impurity... An over-the-top quality, if you will. They began to publicly disagree and eventually developed an anti-magical power called Fi'hiiran'tanya as a sign of their protest and for protection. This power required sacrifice and one of the younger Elibar'acal members was caught sacrificing a friend in order to obtain the power. For this reason the Elibar'acal family was banished from Laurelin until the end of Aegis. The hate of Elibar'acal grew slowly as they were persecuted for their ways... Eventually certain mages became afraid the fi'hiiran'tanya users could end them, so they murdered a significant amount of Elibar'acal family members. From here stems the extreme hate and contempt towards magic and its users.

    Three-hundred years later, Elibar'acal return to the High Elves in Lin'everal. They await quietly to execute their elaborate plans, which I will not reveal for the sake of suspense and meta-gaming.

    How will the magic users and anti-magic users begin to interact after all is set? Will they clash, or live among each other peacefully?

    Fi'hiiran'tanya:

    http://www.lordofthecraft.net/forum/index.php?/topic/90931-ailerantanya-wizards-of-life-magic-draining/?hl=alier%26%2339%3Btanya

    Alier'tanya is the original name for the anti-magic, and that is why it has not been changed on the lore post.

    Other open positions include:

    Valmuel: Valmuel is a fairly aged Elfess, and an Alpha female. She is always on top of things, and uses logic in every situation. She may be regarded as heartless due to her lack of mourning [for her husband], and emotion. [Taken already...]

    Iyathii Meracahe: Iyathii is the ex-wife of Iheiu, who divorced her. She always feels incomplete without her husband and child, and frequently begs to return to the family. As a needy High Elf she is also incapable of making more difficult decisions without the help of her husband.

  4. A poster is pinned on the main notice board of Lin'everal. It reads:

    Recently there was an event that presented one of the greatest dangers to our purity and health: Magic. We have become so reliant on this that other forces have come to toy with us. An individual known as Seth Calith seemed to be under the control of a highly impure shadow being in return for some sort of unknown power. This will be investigated further, but until then I have a very logical suggestion. All Mali'aheral must strictly monitor their use of magic and the magic of other citizens.

    It seems that many of us have grown to lust for more power with the wide-spread use of magic. This will not benefit us and only bring more problems. Magic is only for the pure, and must be monitored heavily.

  6. Athri walks upon the pinned posters and nods reading each one. He then quickly jots down a couple of words on the provided paper with the pen he carries with him at all times. Athri nods carefully as he inserts the paper into the ballot box. It reads:

    "I, Athri Elibar'acal vote for Talias El'siol to up-take the position of Medi'ir."

  7. I don't understand why the opposing side cannot simply wait. As the attackers you have to acknowledge we are primarily a magical nation, and we have no magical plugin. Sure, we can have substitutes for it, but I still don't understand why you cannot wait for the Nexus plugin.

    I kindly ask you to postpone your little attack until the magic plugin is released.

  8. Athri walks up to the poster, and examines it. He nods twice, and takes out a little note-pad he carries, and a writing utensil. He jots down a couple of sentences and then proceeds to pin it under the poster.

    "I, Athri Elibar'acal volunteer for the position of Indoriran. I am capable of all of the requirements."

  9. Athri swats at a beetle that keeps trying to land on his nose, as he reads the poster. When he finally finishes reading the poster, he smashes the beetle against it, furious at what he just read.

    -Splat-

    The beetle's green juices cover the poster.

    "Why are there so many /impure/ magical users?! Only mali'aheral should be able to use magic in moderation! Now I know why I was to learn fi'hiiran'seth," Athri spits out angrily.

    History

    A blood tulip blossomed that day, in  a place and time far far away. Its petals swirled around so that it could show off its yellow center. The petals of the tulip were soft and delicate. Soft and delicate, like the baby serpent that was born to a clan of golden owls the very same hour the tulip blossomed. Cries were heard from the home of the High Elven family that goes by the Elven name of Elibar’acal. Algaron elder of the family, held his son Athri tightly showing his immense love and happiness. The boy had a strand of silver hair coming from his head and a pair of emerald eyes that shone with innocence. His skin was fair, with a golden tint, a sign of true purity.

    *A green mist shimmers, and all of the  inconsequential memories are skipped. The time is about one hundred years after Athri’s birth.*

    “She’s beautiful Athri,” Delasius points out with a dazed and dreamy look.

    Athri glances at the direction Delasius is staring at from their seat on the fine bench, dedicated to the great father Malin. He sets his eyes upon the only sentient being across from them - a mali’ame girl. He twitches as he looks back to his mali’aheral friend. Athri spits out a single sentece, hissing like a serpent. “I hope that was a jest, llir.”

    Delasius shakes his head twice, hardly breathing as he stares.

    Athri frowns his grey coloured eyebrows and begins to speak in a shaky voice, barely holding his fury in.“Delasius, we are mali’aheral. We keep our pure blood lineage... We have no use for our impure and semi-intelligent cousins.”

    *The memories begin to flash through very fast, as if some of them were regretted.*

    A very aged elf, that resembles Athri appears to be speaking to him, with dramatic expressions. Athri in turn frowns more and more after each and every word the other mali’aheral utters. The old elf continued to speak, as if giving a lesson on a certain subject, and laying down the final task.

    *Another quick flash takes away the moment, and turns to another memory.*

    Delasius would  be kissing the beautiful, cocoa bean colored mali’ame, and Athri would be observing them, hidden behind a dark bush, furious at his friend’s impurity.

    *This time, a slowly and deadly mist feeds on the memory and spits out a succession of new ones. Darker ones.*

    The back of Delasius.

    :::

    A crooked knife.

    :::

    A scream.

    :::

    Blood.

    *A purple mist seems to take you to a more vivid, detailed, and slower memory.*

    “A-Athri, why?” Delasius wheezed out, blood covering his chest. The ‘impure’ mali’aheral lay on the floor of a dark chamber with bottles on tables all around him. A laboratory was where Athri had taken him, so they could view an ‘experiment’.

    Athri frowned at him, while speaking in a soft and indifferent voice. “I needed to make use of your impurity, now hold still.” Elibar’acal held out his hand, and concentrated his cold emerald eyes on his ‘friend’. Slowly he began to feed a white wisp from Delasius’ mouth into a tear of dimensions, leading to the void. Delasius’ wheezing eventually ceased, and the tear was closed after the white wisp entered it.

    A slow clapping could be heard in the back of the chamber, as Athri’s eyes lit up with a new and dangerous power.

    *A hammer’s bang is heard as a new memory shimmers into being.*

    “Athri Elibar’acal. You and your family are hereby banished from Malinor, from today until the end of Aegis! You have been found guilty of first degree murder, and your family has been found guilty of conspiring with you against Delasius Inge of the High Elves. You have disgraced our kind and the mali’aheral race with your crimes against Malin. You will now be escorted out of the region forever. Should you be found in Malinor again, you will be killed on sight.”

    A tall elf standing on a podium watches Athri, the aged elf, and a beautiful blonde elf. He gestures for two guards to escort them out, but the family leaves on their own without any expression on their faces.

    *A piercing banshee-like scream invades your ears as a terrible scene before you un-folds.*

    An inferno is before which would have previously been a tent. A blonde screaming mali’aheral lady run from the burning tent, and falls dead in front of a dark robed man.

    “Disgusting creatures, thinking they can take our magic away,” he utters silently, kicking at her face.

    Another man with a white mask on his face appears. “This was only one of them, the threat still remains. We must hunt them down before they retaliate.”

    *Another succession of memories flash through your mind, though they are unfinished and extremely vague.. *

    “I miss mother.”

    :::

    “Magic is a danger to our purity and safe-”

    :::

    “We are magic’s bane. We are Elibar’acal!”

  11. Name: Athri Elibar'acal

    ((MCName)): Minuscule_Evil

    Origins of your birth, and your place of living: I was born in Aegis, and I lived in a large house with my family. After Aegis my family adopted a nomadic lifestyle for particular reasons.

    How can you declare you are Mali'thill?  I have sliver hair, emerald eyes, and gold-tinted skin. I believe that is enough proof.

    Why do you wish to become a citizen of our cihi? I am tired of my family's nomadic life-style, so we want to settle down permanently with our kind.

    What is your personal vision for our blessed race? A non-magical race of extreme purists, that terminates any impure threat.

    What does maehr'sae hiylun'ehya mean to you? To me it means to combine both the old and the new. The old being our purity [health] and the new being our growth in every subject.  [progress].

    What Elven phrase do you particularly take to heart? Please explain why: I take the phrase "kaean'leh thilln chul'okarae" to heart because it reinforces part of the maehr'sae hiylun'ehya and continues to reminds us of the importance of purity.

    What is the subject of the first book you may submit to the college? The subject of the first book that I will submit to the college library will be astronomy.

    What would be your reaction if you ever saw a human, orc and unknown Mali'aheral travel the Anthos Highway together? I would probably give that Mali'aheral and well deserved slap across the face, and make sure he/she never enters Lin'everal again.

    Are there any other details about yourself you wish to relay to the mali’aheral? I strongly oppose magic, as it is a threat to our purity and safety.

  12. ((Sure, let's take one of the city's strong and original aspects and try to smash it into the ground. No thanks.))

    It's original aspect will not be destroyed. Simply a large family of High Elves is arriving with different ideals. Have an open mind, it will be fun :).

    On another note, I am very excited to be apart of this and start some conflict within the race of the High Elves.

  13. Consider this:

    If battles were short and quick then it would be a complete waste of time to role-play training your character. At least with a role-play default you would be able to prove that you are stronger by screenshots and the amount of time you have role-played training. Even though I have been told of the many power-gamers that dodge every single hit and are ultimate warriors, they shouldn't be much of a problem... Don't like the role-play those god-gamers bring? Then void the role-play and be done with it. That way they will feel forced to actually train and be realistic during battle, thus eliminating all problems.

    With Player Versus Player, your Out of Character utilities and their quality only matter, as well as your experience with Player Versus Player.

    I am no fighter - Aphasto is a scholar. I do not argue for my own benefits, but for the sake of role-play.

    My argument still stands, but as a fairly new player I am willing to try out the Player Versus Player system and see how it goes.

    I suggest a week of the Player Versus Player system and then feed back.
