I hope having a Newfie is ok. Combat-wise, they aren't too good (barring few noteworthy historical exceptions). They also aren't too fast, but they are strong. I can have a full list of pros and cons ready for you, if you so desire.

  2. I think we can assume both you and Lykos are accepted.

Well, I don't know about you all, but I don't want this to die. Angel, you're already a moderator. Maybe we all pick one or two more, then they collaborate on the story for a few days, then we resume this? Or maybe even restart it? I'm sure we can revive this.

  3. Odigu and Idisi

Bloodrage wearing off, the hunters entering the building. It takes some trouble and ducking down to battle stance (8 foot), but they manage. Idisi enters first, and Odigu stops just inside the door. It props its shield arm against the door, blocking the rest with its massive frame. Idisi's body vibrates, and a deep voice echoes through the room.

"The armored being with the gun is dead. We have heard howls and have taken precautions. And we would like to thank the pilot that shot us, and inform it that it's bullets have been consumed for sustenance."

The last line is used as a threat towards both the pilot and the others, spreading the message that they should not be messed with.

"We are Mgalekgolo. This body is called Idisi, and the other body is Odigu. Spartan, we are allied with the UNSC, alongside the Sangheilli. We were on Earth when the creatures attacked us."

The electronic eyes of the hunter look around the room at everyone, analyzing potential threats. Only two truly stand out from the others. The girl seems experienced around behemoths, and the other giant seems incredibly strong. They stand at the entrance, prepared to keep things from coming in, or quickly fight their way out.

  4. Odigu and Idisi

Idisi, relieved of having to block anymore shots from the plane, looked to Odigu. It was still after Randall, though now moving much more slowly. "Spartan, our other body is attempting to take down an armored being that was holding the other humans and creatures hostage. Perhaps you could talk sense into the being, as none of these others listened to us." Its body began to shift slightly as the individual lekgolo began to break down the metal in the bullets. Bright orange blood leaked out slowly, smelling of burning plastic.

  5. Idisi and Odigu

Idisi was charging another shot when it noticed the spartan. Spartans were UNSC, an ally. Though he had no authority over the hunters, the "stand down" order seemed like a good. Of course, Odigu wouldn't do-

The noise of the plane was back. Idisi still had no knowledge of the race of the pilot, but it was still about to attack. Without taking time to look for it, the hunter crouched down and raised its massive shield over its body. The bullets mostly bounced off of the shield, a few ricocheted off the armor, and some buried themselves in the hunter's body. An angry groan filled the air. "Spartan! We require your assistance!"

Odigu blindly advanced towards Randall, cannon arm and shield arm both swinging. A hit from one would be enough to kill an Elite. In its rage, though, it did nothing to block the oncoming fire from the plane. The chinks and open spots in the hunter's body were few, but large enough that plenty of shot landed. Phosphorescent orange blood leaked into the snow, and a smell like burning plastic filled the air around it. Odigu slowed, it's swings becoming tired. The shield began to move to a point of defense, blocking the pistol shots still coming towards him.

  6. Unsure who Cra was aiming for... He has reasons to shoot both... Would it be safe to assume Odigu?

Idisi moves forward, towards the group. With a charges cannon, it fires explosive rounds at Randall, aiming for his feet.

Odigu runs for Randall, barely noticing the fire catching on its chestpiece or the smoking blaster burn on its arm. The bloodrage takes it as the prey both avoids death and fights back. The rounds from Randall's guns mostly hit Odigu's shield, a few moving past into the colony of lekgolo.

  7. Sure, assuming you don't mind that post being here and being about swinging a shield down towards you. I don't mind at all.

Odigu slowed slightly as it neared the group. It didn't know anything about what it was attacking, so perhaps making sure the shield hit would be a good thing.

As it ran, Odigu noticed the figure with the staff. The same one that had frozen its shield. Revenge will be later..., it thought.

It was still roaring as loud as it could, ready to hit the figure. The shield rose as it reached 15 meters away, then fell again as Odigu lunged at Randall.

  8. Odigu and Idisi

They continue their charge, getting nearer and nearer. Ready for a battle and hoping to grab the attention of the attacker, they begin a roar. It shakes their entire being, as each worm in their body vibrates to increase the noise.

Idisi slides to a halt 50m away, charging its cannon, while Odigu continues its run. The massive shield grafted to its left arm swings at the ready.

  9. Odigu and Idis
Having taken the walk slow, the hunters were later at reaching the structure. 300 meters out, they saw the being pointing weapons at the others. Sensing a threat, they broke into a run. They would quickly reach the structure.

This one was longer, but it conflicted with what had already happened, so I shortened it so that I could do a longer one next. Sorry about that.

  10. Idisi and Odigu

Idisi, beam charged fully, instead fired it at the ice wall, incendiary gel slicing straight through and melting it. The behemoth groaned as the bullets hit Odigu. Many of them bounced off of or shattered on the armor, but a few embedded themselves into its body. It grumbled, but the bullets would do little to stop it.

Odigu made to charge after the man that had frozen its arm, but Idisi stopped it. Looking around, they examined their surroundings. Wasteland was enclosed by wasteland, as far as their mechanical eyes could see. The only landmark was the source of light off in the distance. Most of the people had run there, but some were still around. Two were fighting.

Another quick glance around by Odigu found nothing, but Idisi's eyes were slower. Still, they too passed over Dmitri's location.

Slowly this time, the hunters made their way after the majority of the group. Perhaps running was not the best tactic...

  11. Idisi stopped as the plane flew over their heads, while Odigu continued the lope. The shield went up, preparing for the next run. The entire body of the hunter vibrated as it spoke, worms replacing vocal cords. The deep, rumbling voice sounded, "Why do you attack? We are against the Covenant, like you." In case of true danger, the assault cannon began to glow, preparing to shoot an incendiary beam into the sky.

Odigu, however, did not notice. Intent on reaching civilization, it ran until the ice wall met it. One swing of the shield broke through part of it, but it stuck. The constant grumble of the hunter quickly became a roar of fury at it's trapped limb. "Release us," it boomed, "before we break you in half!" Slowly, the assault cannon began to charge, loading its incendiary rounds.

  12. Mod post copied from The White Wolf said so that future readers can understand what happened. Plus, I really wanted to try my hand at writing it.

    Odigu and Idisi

    Covenant Landing Site

With roars that shook the room, the hunters charged into the hangar, following their elite comrades. Hordes of soldiers fired upon the elites, only to meet their demise underneath the hunters' shields. Pieces of grunts were stuck between their "toes", unfelt in the bloodlust that infected the behemoths.

The elites easily made their way to the back of the large room, most of the fire concentrated on their body guards. While on worked on the door, the Ultra looked back. "Idisi, guard us!"

Through the blood rage, the voice was faintly heard, and the body dubbed Idisi made its way back to the group. Odigu continued its rampage.

Idisi was almost with the group when screams were heard, ones not caused by Odigu. The Ultra looked, only to see multiple dog-like creatures swarming into the building. Any covenant not attacking the hunters were quickly taken down. A grunt was attacked, and one of its air-hoses ripped out, propelling it, and the dog, into the air. The grunt and its passenger bounced off of Idisi's shield, protecting the elites.

A Jiralhanae chieftain, on of the few able to avoid the hunters' wrath, fought bravely against the beasts. The hammer went up and down, smashing multiple with every strike. Then, they surrounded him and he too fell.

"Major," shouted the Ultra,"get this door open. Soldiers, draw your blades!"

With a hiss, their energy swords activated, lighting their corner with a blue glow. As the creatures reached the elites, they met their demise on the swords. Odigu, sensing danger through his bloodlust, and having base desires to protect the colony first, made its way back to the group. Beasts pounced onto its back, but it shook them off, breaking into a run. As it reached the group, the two hunters took a defensive position, shield on both sides of the group with elite sword in the middle. Nothing passed, all was destroyed.

At the entrance to the hangar, more beings gathered, preparing to charge in as one. The hunters grumbled, the elites sighed.

"Sir! The door is opening no-" the voice was cut short as more beasts broke through the doorway. The squad was taken by surprise, and suffered for it. The ultra and a major tore away, the hunters following swiftly. Regrouping at the middle of the hangar, Idisi voiced its opinion on the situation, "We can tear through the group at the hangar entrance. There must be a nearby human settlement to hide us."

The Ultra shook his head. "I'm not bringing these beasts on innocents. We will fight them here until our last breath. Our brothers died honorably, and we will not deny them that by running away. We must fight. If we die, then we die under a mountain of foes, no less."

The creatures swarmed them. The hunters took out many with their shields, but just as many ducked underneath or went through the hunters' legs. The major and ultra took most of the stragglers, but then they took them both, dragging them into the swarm. The ultra continued cutting until his last, while the major just screamed.

Portals, not unlike those for slipspace, opened up above the hunters. Tentacles descended, grabbing onto them. The last thing they saw before the darkness was an elite hand, holding an energy blade. As they were enveloped by darkness, the blade went out.

    Odigu and Idisi

    Mysterious Location

The groans and rumbles of the hunters softly shook the ground beneath them. They helped each other up and checked for injuries. Finding none, they examined their surroundings. In silence, they saw the wasteland of snow and ice. In the distance, a light. That was their best bet.

In between them and the light, there were people. From a distance, most were obviously human. There were also some pieces of objects, even a small aircraft of some sort. It didn't look human, forerunner, or covenant. Wanting to find people to determine where they were, the hunters broke into a run towards the group. The ground beneath them shook under their massive weight. The twelve foot tall behemoths quickly closed the gap between them and the group. 100 meters away... 80 meters away... 50 meters away...

  13. I understand that he's working on it. It's just a little difficult to see others getting on while waiting yourself, especially when you know that there's nothing stopping you except for one person's schedule. It's even harder when you're out of school due to snow, so you have nothing to do but refresh a page every five minutes.

Just had to put that out there.
