  1. Name and surname? Torc Bauldry

    Age? 20

    Racial status? Human

Any prior service? Nay, though I have served as a sell-sword in the past.

Any trades or skills, such as smithing or mining, that you could provide to the regiment? I've taken ta' smithing, and have forged my own armor, blade, and tools. I would gladly give my anvil and hammer to the service of the Imperial Army. I can also duel as a Miner, if it please you.

Do you understand that an oath requiring a minimum of 2 saint's years* service will be taken? I understand.

  2. Application Team,

For some reason, I've been made a Wandering Soul. My first Lotc application was accepted a year ago, you can find the accepted application here. I haven't logged onto Lotc for a couple months, but it was to my understanding that Whitelists were permanent (unless you were banned of course). I would love to get back into Lotc, and if that requires me making another application, that'd be fine. If you could shed some light on what I need to do to get back on Lotc, that'd be great.

    Thanks!

    Falcon

Edit: Just saw this post. I'll be PM'ing Cappy, so feel free to dismiss this post.

  3. *Royce reads over the declaration warily, running a hand over his young face. He rips the paper from its stand and returns to his barrack, gathering his fellow Valiants around him and reading the notice aloud for all to hear. Finishing his monologue he is met with pure silence, crumpling the paper in an iron fist he utters*

    "Fawk."

  4. *Royce passes by one of the fliers, after reading it he quickly scrawls a note and attaches a paper of his own to the space below the flier.*

"The Valiants always welcome new recruits. You'll be giving food, living space, and more importantly; purpose. If you are interested, read through the attached paper and send a bird. (Forum PM, or in-game PM if I'm on. MC name is falconaire) Or stop by our barrack in Auvergne County, near Abresi. I hope to be seeing you."

  5. I will be happy if each nation gets a quarry

ie dwarfs get a stone quarry

    Orcs get sand quarry

    Humans get a quartz quarry

Elfs get a quartz quarry for their high elfs?

I actually kind of like the idea of each nation having its own mine, being as 2 seems way to little in my mind. I realize there'll be more down the road but having to buy every single peice of iron and coal is generally annoying when there's so little minas circulating around anyway.

    In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character:

    Full Name:
    Royce Charr
    Current Age: 18
    Sub-race (if any): Northerner
    Past /
History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):  Royce entered the world of Anthos mostly unnoticed. His mother died birthing him and his father was off fighting in a foreign nation's war as a mercenary. He was raised as an early child by Cloud Temple dedicates and when his father returned he refused to claim him, blaming the small infant for the death of his wife. His father took the boy to the kingdom of Salvus, dumping him with an aunt in Kingston where he would remain for the rest of his childhood. His father never returned to Royce.

Royce's aunt was a stern woman who married to a rich merchant and had given birth to two boys a few years older than Royce. As Royce grew, he was treated with little respect, viewed merely as another annoying mouth that they had to feed. He would be beaten by his guardians and do most of the chores around the house. Because of the way he was treated, his aunt's children secluded him, forcing him to face the constant abuse alone. He slipped out of the house whenever he could, wandering the streets of Kingston and doing odd-jobs when he was able, hiding the few minas he earned under a loose board in his room.

When he reached 16, Royce gathered his few possessions and left home while his guardians were away. He never went back. He immediately left Kingston, exploring the various towns and cities of Oren in search of a permanent vocation. He quickly assumed the role of a mercenary. During the planting and harvesting months he would offer his service to local farmers, protecting their crop from bandits so they were able to carry out their tasks without fear of attack. He has continued this routine until his current age of 18 and is now faced with the decision of what to do with his life. He could continue his role as a mercenary and join the military, or become apprenticed in mining or smithing, both of which he has shown promise in.

Ambitions for the Future: Royce has been an insignificant member of society throughout his whole life, and has a feirce ambition to make a reputation for himself based upon his own achievements. While he is unsure of his purpose in Anthos, he is committed to making some sort of difference and improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
Personality: Royce radiates a calm confidence, each choice he makes he does so with conviction. This makes those with less confidence drawn to him. His speech is blunt and full of the slang of the slums and farms. But, Royce is often one to act arrogantly and will speak his mind, often getting himself into trouble for doing so.
Skills: Royce is skilled in swordsmanship and smithing due to long hours of practice along with natural talent, though he also is adequate at mining.
Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin): Royce stands at a respectable height of 6'2" and has a lean build, perfect for one who will often turn to his blade-wielding abilities to solve a predicament. His long, dark brown hair hangs from his head in rough curls, matted down from long nights spent pressed against the hard earth. His stormy gray eyes are clouded and unreadable, his lips constantly curled up in a scowl. His features give him a rugged, handsome appearance that is easy to remember and hard to forget.

    Open-Response-Questions
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

    ____

    1. Whilst in the mighty human capital you notice a dark-clothed figure stealthily making his way towards the Emperors palace - he is clearly up to no good. There are guards within shouting distance - what do you do?

Royce walked out of the tavern with a stupid grin spread across his face, something unusual for him. He had received a large sum of minas for his work repairing the roof of the tavern and was already bemusing himself with multiple ways he could spend it. So deep were his thoughts that Royce did not notice the cloaked man slipping through the shadows on the other side of the cobblestone road until he passed under the dim light of a home's lantern. Raising an eyebrow in inquiry, the young man sauntered across the road, calling out in a boisterous manner, "Hail, lad! What might ye' be doing out at an hour like this?" The cloaked man froze in place, unprepared for the situation presented to him. Taking advantage of his momentary confusion, Royce quickly closed the distance between him and the man, slamming his shoulder against his unexpected victim's stomach. Having been flown into the hard wall of the nearby house, the mysterious character toppled to the ground, quickly pinned underneath the body of Royce. Calling out for help, Royce subdues the man until the Imperial Guard arrives.

    2. Whilst wandering in the deep oak forest you come across a large clearing, in which sits a small cobbled cottage. Outside it stands an unstable old man armed with a small iron blade, surrounded by two heavily armed bandits - they appear to be threatening him. You are armed with leather armour and an iron longsword, how do you react?

Having stumbled upon the cottage, Royce lies prone at the outskirts of treeline watching the situation unfold. Quickly determining the old man is in danger Royce debates over his options. Realizing going for help would be futile he makes an immediate decision to directly assist the old man. Drawing his longsword, Royce soft-footed towards the rear of the two bandits. Positioning himself stealthily behind the larger bandit, he raises his sword above his head, bringing the blade down in a deadly arc and slamming the hilt of the sword into the back of the bandit's head, who instantly crumples. The second bandit reacts quickly, turning to face Royce. While the bandit is distracted, the old man lands a short thrust into the gut of the armed man, quickly followed by a sweeping arc from Royce hitting the bandit underneath his raised sword arm. The dying bandit falls and bleeds out in a matter of seconds. Proceeding to tying up the first unconscious bandit, Royce orders the old man to go to the nearest village and retrieve a party of guards to arrest the remaining helpless criminal.

    3. You are standing within the mighty human capital when you notice a small man standing behind a colourful stall. You approach the stall and notice that the man is selling a variety of general goods - he says that he is selling just about anything and that he has no set prices. He is willing to allow you to haggle and choose prices. What do you do? (Explain: your haggling, items of choice and the discussion that happens).

Pausing before the stand, Royce is quickly taken notice of by the merchant, "Morning, sir! Would you be interested in any of my product, just name yer' price!" Stepping closer to the stall, Royce sweeps his eyes over the massive variety of items. His rucksack full of food and his blade perfectly weighted to his arm, he quickly dismisses the notion of purchasing anything of the sort. After pondering over the decision for another moment, Royce pulls a small necklace with a bronze chain and a topaz centerpiece from a display box, examining the jewelry piece before stating plainly, "I'd like to buy this." A grin quickly spreads across the merchant's face, "A romantic then? Who's the lass?" Shrugging nonchalantly, Royce responds, "Never know when it may come in handy, girlies tend to make good recommendations to their father's... How much ye' want for it?" "50 minas." comes the quick response. Royce lets out a bark of laughter, "Fer' this piece of junk? Ye' can take it back and sell it to the next lad." Extending his hand holding the necklace to the man, he calmly awaits to see if the merchant will stake a better offer, containing a grin as he sees smalls beads of sweat begin to dot the small man's forehead. "Very well, does 35 minas suit ya' better?" the merchant answers after a long pause of thought. "Good ta' see ye've come to see reason." Royce responds, pocketing the necklace and drawing a small bag of minas. Royce counts out 35 of the small coins and places them on the counter, then bowing mockingly before issuing a short farewell and continuing on his way through the city.
