  1. I vote for PVP default. I am a fairly new player, so I am not from Aegis, but from Youtube videos I have seen Aegis seemed to have about 300 players for a regular number, which is almost 200 more then our normal number right now, so the PVP system appeared to have worked. I think it would be good to see a change, which is, what I think, some peoples reasons for not wanting the PVP system. They don't want to have a change. That and they have bad computers for pvping, of course.

But I want to see how this works for the server. It appeared to work good before, and I trust the Aegis veterans. Gaius' system is also very plausible, but I think it should be taken off. Right now, the votes seem to be a close tie, so those 40 or so votes on Gaius' system is detracting from the other options, which I think would make a clear winner.

  2. ((Finally, someone doing something about the Gahktusks in Braduk lands. Kinda dissapointed that Gazkull made a truce, even after they pretty much invaded our lands and refused to move. Good job Gorkil.))

((Um, actually it has nothing to do with us being in Braduk lands. It's about the Gorkil's reinstating their power as the Rex Clan, they will be fighting the Braduks eventually too. It isn't a fight to the death or a serious war, it's just a fight of respect.))

  3. Name IC/OOC: MC Name: blob9000 RP Name: Vaktharg

    Race(Has to be Orc): Orc

    Orc Skin Tone: Dark Red

    Orc Subrace: Nomad

Brief Bio (2 sentences, tell me who he is): Vaktharg is a tall 9.6 ft Orc, having 3 large tusks and wearing leather clothing, along with his black hair which lies in a pony tail. He is 102 years old, and has been without a clan his whole life. His mother died at birth, then his father at age 46, leaving Vaktharg alone, seeking a clan to join.

Why are you interested?: Well, I am interested in this clan because of how it is with the constantly moving around from camp to camp, which I think is great for Orcish RP, along with the fact that this seems to be an active, growing clan, which I am looking forward to RPing with.

Player status (Active player, New player, etc.):Well, I am definitely new, I have only been on this server for about 3 weeks, but I come on the server every day, so I would say I am a *puts on sunglasses* active newbie.

((If this is accepted, I will need the location of the base))

  4. MC Name: tylerthebrain

Overall Idea: The Orc nations have in recent times been at quarrel with the White Rose, and while we have indeed struck out at them, it was never a unified attempt, since there are only so many Orcs on at a time, so in light of these recent events, we need to put them in their place. We have the coordination, the people if they are notified and get on at the specified time, and the specialties. In general, dem pinkiez have begun settling in our badlands, and we need to kick them out of our land and teach them the might of the Orcs, and I've seen that said a lot and not done, but that needs to change. We need to rid of any Human/Elf/Dwarf/Hafling or Kha that stays in our lands, and don't stop there, go out and kill the White Rose, paint our armor in their blood. That's what should happen. I hope that's what will happen. The time for this event should be decided at a later date, though it could be; Thursday May 23rd, 7:00pm EST, Sunday June 1st, at 5:00pm EST.

What would you need: I would need an abundance of people with the Orcs, at least 10+, yet more would be prefered to perform war tactics against the White Rose, since they will STILL have more than the Orcs. We would WANT an organized selection of Armor, Iron for Tanks, Leather for flankers, etc. This is in light of an RP battle, since PVP battles quite frankely ruin the fun (some times). It ends it too quickly, somewhat like a failed climax. The battle(s) can be spaced out, or kept to whispers so that there is not a chat flood. This last prefered RP part is optional of course, but I think it would be more enjoyable, more creativity to your approach.

Yea, we already did that and failed, but with only 13 people and no siege weapons except ladders. We should give it a second go, this time make it a schedualed time so everyone can be on to fight, and not just whoever is on at the time. We also should have siege weapons, because that wall would fall in no time with those.

  5. Walking on the Anthos Highway on the way back to the Orcish Badlands, Chogkor grunts as the wind blows one of the decrees right into his face. He grabs the paper, and tries to read. Although he cannot read the human language, he makes out some words.

"War.... deklared... Shara.... Twiggiez.... Kat Peepel... BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Skahin' Shara iz az ztupid az... a.... er..."  Chogkor thinks to come up with some words. "Az a Shara! Unlee Uruks kan wage dat war agh win! Ztupid pinkzkins."

  6. Why hello there! My name is the Belgian Badger, but my real name is Noah, because... Belgian Badger isn't a possible real name. Yes, I am a real Belgian person. No, I don't speak French. No, I don't live in Belgium. Why is that? Because there's this place called Canada which isn't in Belgium, and I live in that place called Canada. What? No, Canada isn't a poultry name, it's a country, you nitwit! Why would you think that?

So in this magical place called Canada, there is a thing called "people." I am a person. No, I am not a Badger, why would you ever think such a thing? When I was in my mother's stomache, before I was born... No! Babies do not come from the butt! You guys watch too much Family Guy... Anyway, when I was in the womb my parents moved from Brussels. No, not Brussel Sprouts, a place called Brussels. Anyway, from Brussels, to Canada.

After living in Canada, I have great news for the rest of the world! Canadians don't say "Eh" after every sentance! And they don't have dogsleds or live in igloos! I know, who could've thought that?! But with the weather they certaintly COULD live in igloos. Ugh... Canadian weather. Anyway, why are you still here? Off with ye!

    Definitions:
In your own words define the following terms. Do not take any definitions from elsewhere!

Role-playing: Taking on the role of the character, playing it, hence the name, basically acting except more control and no limits to your character except the lore and time-period of the world in which you are roleplaying in.

Meta-gaming: Metagaming, is the act of using OOC (Out Of Character) information to asssist your in-game character, such as coordinates or returning to a battle when you died.

Power-emoting: Power-emoting, or Power-Gaming is the act of, in its simplest form, being over-powered, or doing what your character could not do. An example could be anything from destroying a whole army to using un-realistic speedy movements to defeat an opponent in a duel.

    In-Character Information:
Complete the following biography on your character

    Full Name: Thobek Redshield

    Current Age: 16 Seasons (113)

    Sub-race (if any): Mountain Dwarf

    Clan (if any): None currently.

Past / History (include childhood, major-events, etc. 2+ paragraphs long):

Thobek was born a sturdy Dwarf, his father, Bofbere, was a sailor Dwarf. If you thought normal Dwarves swore alot, you were in for a surprise when you met him. Thobek's mother was named Norili. Bofbere served in the Dwarven Navy for some time in Asulon, before an incident on the search for new land to settle away from Asulon.

Thobek grew up a normal life, unless of course, you would describe a normal Dwarven life mining, as Bofbere expected Thobek to continue work as a sailor dwarf. Bofbere also knew how to use a crossbow, more then a sword or axe, but mining was never a strong suit of the Redshield family. Thobek was raised in Kal'Anart in Asulon, home of the Goldaxe clan.

As Thobek grew older his father taught him how to fight and sail and use cannons on the ships. However Thobek never participated in any Dwarven war. In his later years in Asulon Thobek became interested in making cannons and how their engineering worked. But Bofbere dismissed it, saying "Who needs ta know 'ow ta feckin build 'em if ye know 'ow ta shoot 'em!" Thobek eventually became annoyed by his fathers arrogence, and promised one day to learn what he desired, as the Redshield family was very controlling.

Then one day Norili became very sick, and died when Thobek was 59 years old. Thobek's father became depressed as other Dwarves were joyfull at the return of the White Wizard and how he helped the Dwarves slay attacking Dragons at Kal'Dwain.

Soon the Dwarves searched for lands to settle outside of Asulon, and Thobek and his father travelled the journey. But on a stormy night Bofbere was thrown overboard, and drowned. Thobek was left with no parents, as the Dwarves landed on Elysium. It was now Thobeks turn to be depressed, and he was until the Dwarves moved from Elysium on a cold night at the sea, when Thobek was sleeping...

He had a dream, where his father came to him, and said: "I will always love ye, me boy. Fulfill yer dreams I stopped ye from fulfillin', an' stop mournin' over yer parents fate, like I did with yer mother. Stop mournin', or you will follow th' same path I did. Goodbye, me son." Thobek realized that his parents wanted him to be happy, despite their deaths, and Thobek could now fulfill his ambitions, as he looked, smiling for the first time in a while over the deck of the ship, as the coast of Anthos could be seen in the horizon.

Ambitions for the Future: Thobek wants to learn how to build cannons, and wants to join the Dwarven navy. As for small long-term goals, he wants his own house, of course, as he hasn't had his own all his life. He wants to move to Kal'Azgoth as well, and join the Goldaxe clan.

Personality: Thobek is a tough dwarf, who has a short temper, but surprisingly kind, especially for a sailor Dwarf. He his friendly to all of his Dwarven kin, but not so much to other races. Thobek likes to eat and drink, and likes the seas. He also enjoys firing cannons, but since he can't do that whenever he wants, he makes up for it by firing a crossbow.

Skills: Thobek's skills include sailing, firing cannons, and for weapons crossbows, but he can also manage with a sword. Thobek knows basic mining skills, but is not very interested in it.

Appearance (this must include an in-game screenshot of your skin):

Thobek has a dark orange beard and hair, with slightly tanned skin, from his time in the sea. His eyes are plain black in color. He wears some iron armor coverings on his shoulders, chest, and things, but the rest of his body is covered in thick chainmail that goes down from head to toe. Thobek also wears a brown belt, brown work gloves, and thick brown boots. He is 3.4 ft tall, and is a fat dwarf, not too fat however.

    Open-Response-Questions:
Each question in this section must be answered with a minimum of one paragraph which must describe the event in full. Please be as descriptive as possible and do not break character or lore at any point.

    1. Whilst mining deep in the undergrounds of Kalos you see a large deposit of diamond ore at the other side of the ravine you are on. There is a very thin rock bridge that looks precariously unstable, but it is the only way to access the deposit. What do you do?

    Answer:

Thobek is awed as he sees the gleaming diamonds on the other side of the ravine, letting out a shining blue glow. Thobek rarely went mining, only on special occasion, so to find diamonds, for him, especially such a large amount, was an amazing thing. Thobek was so excited he almost went right off the edge of the ravine, but then he got his senses back.

Thobek studies the bridge, as it appears to be unstable. But Thobek wouldn't pass up this rare opportunity for diamonds. He carefully placed a foot on the edge of the bridge, then after about 10 seconds his second foot. The bridge appeared to support his weight. He slowly went across, until he reached the other side. Pick-axe in hand, Thobek threw it into the diamonds, seeing the first ore piece come out. "'Ello t'ere, ye lil' diamond basterd. Yer mine, now." He kisses the diamond. Although Thobek isn't a miner Dwarf, he does still like riches.

    2. You are sitting in the local tavern with a large pint of ale in your hand - sitting nearby you is a rather young dwarf whom is clearly going through a bad time. He is crying to himself, and clutching a small wooden hammer toy. In the other corner of the room two shady dwarves are sitting whispering to each other and pointing occasionally at the dwarf. They stand up, one with a small dagger in his hand and begin to approach the young dwarf. What do you do?

    Answer:

Thobek gulps as the Dwarves approach, but pretends to ignore them, whispering to the young Dwarf. The 2 Dwarves see Thobek, and stop for a little bit, before keeping their pace. "W'at is wrong, lad?" Thobek asks. The young Dwarf keeps crying, ignoring Thobek. The 2 shady Dwarves get closer towards Thobek, so he turns around in the chair, on his side, so the Dwarves can visibly see his Crossbow, which lies on his side.

The Dwarves study the crossbow, and start to wonder if it is a good idea to continue walking. But surely he couldn't use that crossbow at such short range. However they are still un-aware of the short-sword which lies on Thobek's other side, so they continue walking towards Thobek. Thobek now gets up from the chair, and stands infront of the two Dwarves, who seem to be short, even for Dwarves. Thobek is taller then them, which makes him more intimidating.

The Dwarves now see both his crossbow and shortsword, and are now very frightened.

"What do ye want with t'at young lad o'er t'ere?" Thobek asks.

One of them answers. "We are... er... takin' 'im back ta 'is parents... 'is parents, yes!"

"But I thought we were--" The other Dwarf, who appears to be an idiot, says, before getting smacked on the head by the other one. "Shut up, ye scrawny bearded lass!"

The other Dwarf then leaps at the other, offended at his insult, and they soon are into a full fledged barfight, punching and kicking the other. The young crying Dwarf takes this chance, to run out of the bar. Eventually, one of the brawling Dwarves ends the fight by smashing a bear glass on the others head, and takes one last look at Thobek, before running off.

    3. Whilst wandering through the Dwarven Caverns you hear a voice call out to you; Oi, ye’! Cmere n get yerself an ale!”. You spin on your heel and see a heavily bearded bar-owner looking at you - a huge grin on his face, and a mug of ale in his hand. How do you react?

    Answer:

Thobek stops his stroll, as the word "ale" rings in his head. Thobek immediately turns around towards the voice of the Dwarf, who just said the magic word. Thobek meets the man serving ale, who appears to be a chubby, friendly Dwarf.  "I'll take t'at ale off yer 'ands, mister." Thobek says.

"Congratulations, lad!" The Dwarf says, "Yer me 'un 'undredth customer! 'Ere's an ale, on th' 'ouse!" Thobek smiles, gladly taking the ale, and gulps it down in one drink, taking a moment to taste the ale. "'Ats sum mighty foine ale ye got t'ere! I'll 'ave anuther!" Thobek says.

"At'll cost ye 15 Minas, sir." The Dwarf replies. Thobek hands him the minas, and drinks the mug of ale.
