    *Skype Username: Devinbolt145

Forum Name: Devinbolt145 (Subject to display name change from time to time)

    In-Game Race(s):] High Elf

    *Age: 16

Time on Server: Around 3 weeks I think. Meh, time flys.

Timezone: CST Texas to be specific.

Do you fully understand the server rules?: Absolutely

Have you ever been banned, recieved a strike, or a warning on Lord Of the Craft before?: Nada

Why do you want to join the Application Team?: Basically, The more members the quicker the response to an app and possibly a better reply. I have an, I'd say, Advanced understanding or Apps. Especially whitelist RP applications.

Why do you feel you should be allowed to join the Application Team?: Why and If I join is your decision but I must say I am on the forums the majority of my day and anything that needs a reply, feedback, or advice you can most likely see my opinions scattered across the thread.

Do you feel you could perform your work professionally and effectively?: Most certainly. Like previously stated I have more than adequate experience with applications of all sorts.

What do you feel are the five most important parts of a server application, and why?:

Five? Quite a specific question but very well.

The OOC section answered completely and seriously is important. You would be surprised how many apps I have seen that people troll their way through the OOC thinking it is unimportant. It shows a lot of maturity or the lack of it, the OOC does.

Definitions answered completely and /UNplagiarized/ . The nerve of some people Copy/Pasting straight from a wiki or other server... Knowledge of RP is reasonably important but if I can see they are not very experienced or new to RP I would send a PM with advice and let them edit it if possible. Noted I have already sent a couple of PMs to certain applicants with some tips but that is irrelevant

Now to the fun parts! The base character creation is pretty important considering it is the basis of all RP that will come from that character in the future. Lets go point by point shall we? Alright so point one, The Name. Considering what race and Sub-Race the character race is would decide the type of name, what it can and can't be according to culture. Example, A dark elf could not be NAMED (nicknames are a different story) something along the lines of Orgruk or Edward, Nor could an orc be named Princeton unless supported and explained by a well written bio. Point Two, Race and Sub-race. Take for example the character's name was Bartholomew the Loyal or whatever cliche' title a typical knight would use, This man could not be a High Elf chairman, The name would not fit with lore not to mention all the ridicule the poor man would get about his impure name.I would not deny an app on the basis of a bad name but I would make sure it is changed or supported with correct lore. Point Three Age. This is self explanatory. A human could not live to be 400yr and still be able to run circles around a group of bandits. Nor could a pure High Elf be 20 but look...... 20 the aging is /outlined/ in the wiki I see many people IG that even break this lore.

The Bio! Possibly my favorite but the most I find myself ridiculing. A good backstory makes an app. Of course I would look for grammar and spelling, along with Lore and creativity. I also look for originality, It makes my day to read a non cliche' app and It bugs me so many people stick to the whole 'Bandets raded me an keelid me fater an muder an I run way' Also uniqueness shows potential for enhancing RP and is a huge plus in my book.

Character Goals, appearance and characteristics. The character's mindset tward the world infront of them can change the entirety or RP they produce. More common uses like 'Adventure an loot an stuff ye' sluggard!' are not very unique and while they are not too important to a verdict they can show the level of RP the player can preform. Lastly, The skin. The skin of a character can do many things and show many things as well. A good skin (like mine *wink) can draw in potential roleplayers and honestly a badly done skin is just an eyesore. Another point is a way to 'kiss up' like additional info can be a bad sign varying on the severity and content. Again not something I would base a denial off of.

    • Have you ever been banned or received a strike? If so, link the report:

Nada, and I strive to keep it that way.

    • What do you believe are key factors for a successful event?

An event could be sudden and erratic, appearing out of nowhere and catching everyone by surprise. After getting everyone's attention, the basis of the event should be backed up by lore, like a war or siege, it may continue a storyline, create a new storyline, or end the story. With correct lore or mystery it should be played off in a bustling area at a time there are many players in the area, no one can see the event if they are absent. The place of the event should have the corresponding ambiance, minimum OOC is also helpful. after all of the planning is set up the actual event should include things that draw in others to RP, things like lightning, rain, and fire can get reactions from the players. Anything to grab attention but also have a bit of mystery is excellent. The more actors the better, event team members disguised as passerby's or guards is excellent as they can go in to fight something off or guide the event in the direction it is planned but improvisation should always be though out and natural. The ending of the event should either have a large result of fade into black as it hints to a future possibly larger event.

    • What type of events are you most interested in creating?

I would be interested in any event really. Weather it be large and server-wide or only for a small gathering. I enjoy performing for others at any level. Also I believe it could help promote better RP in the player-base if good events are pulled off.

What strengths could you contribute to the Event Team?

I was in theater for as long as I was in school (I am home-schooled now so I have free time 24/7) performing in front of hundreds every couple of months. I was most always the lead role but always allowed and pushed others to ''take the spotlight''. In short my RP abilities and creative mind propel me to produce entertainment for others and in doing so I enjoy my time.

    • Create three distinct RP scenarios/events that you, as an actor, could create for others (one paragraph each):

As an actor I would create events as much as I could, these are just off the top of my head that could possibly draw in others.

    Brothers in Elf Town

This would be a small event that would be mystery without much lore to support it but still hopefully be interesting.

Actors: 4 or more. Builds needed: None

As the citizens and patrons of Malinor mind their own business shopping and the like, loud bickering would be heard coming from across the bridge at the front gate. Things like "Mother is expecting us Phero!" and "Hurry up you lazy bum!" would ring across the market streets. Soon two figures leading a mass of ass would scurry over the bridge making lots of noise with the clickety-clack of hooves droning out any conversation. These characters would be two small elf brothers pulling around 12 donkeys by leads. As they make their way into the market a hooded character would jump on one of the donkeys and take off into the city on it, the boys would scream loudly for help as players would try to stop the thief. The brothers would run off when no one is looking. When the their enters the gate an older lady elf would come out of nowhere and combat the thief, after a small fight that varies according to player interaction the thief would be killed or run off leaving the elder lady to be a famed hero.

    Loose Gravel

Actors: 5 or more. Builds Needed: None

This event would take place in the entrance to a city or anywhere with lots of players. This would start a story line that could be continued later by other events. When the players least expect it a large rubling resembling footsteps would be heard approaching. Soon a stone golem would charge into the area instantly met by a group of adventurers that were waiting by. The group battles the golem each with different skills. As players join the battle the golem would eventually die which afterwards the band of adventurers would explain there was a sorcerer that they were hunting that had made the golem. With other events the group would eventually have a large conflict as the sorcerer made an appearance.

    The Guiding Light

Actors: All available. Builds Needed: A large ball of (fire if possible) glowstone above a highly populated town.

This would take place as a server wide event that would draw in RPers for a large event.

A huge ball of light would be seen from all across the land floating above a desired location.  A broadcast would be made to draw in others to behold the spectacle. As people arrive a hooded figure would wander the crowd keeping their head down not to be recognized. Soon the ball would start growing and becoming brighter, suddenly light like lightning would strike the ground randomly producing strange elementals of light that would be like shining golems. These would be played by actors. The Light elementals would surround the crowd and start terrorizing the people. Eventually as the golems are defeated, as the players find their weakness, the ball would shrink and become brighter and an actor would yell out it looked as if it would implode. The ball would keep shrinking until it formed into another actor in the form of a robed villain would appear. The hooded actor in the crown would instantly throw off his cloak to show his robes. He would rush tward the Light figure and they would have a large master magic battle. The outcome could be interchangeable but draw in RPers the players that participate would receive a medal.

I take an oath to not abuse given permissions and use them strictly for event reasons.

I will be active and always thinking of Events and ways to promote healthy RP.

I will keep this up for as long as needed so I can RP with others and show my RP.

    Definitions

What is roleplaying?: - For me Roleplaying is the way I escape, I become someone else and leave all my worries or stressed behind. This is the definition of paradise for me and how I enjoy my freetime.

What’s metagaming?: - The bane of my roleplay experience, The death to my Life and the water to my fire. This act takes the number one spot of hate in my heart. This is when OOC information is foolishly used and implemented into IC gameplay.

What’s powergaming?: - I have understood powergaming (or god-modding) to be the use of emotes that the "victim" cannot avoid or overpower, this can also be when a character has more than needed or realistic power also known as being OP (over-powered)

    In-Character Information

What’s your character called?: - Atrii Sirius

What race are they (and sub-race)?: - Elf - High Elf

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - Atrii has lived for a reasonable 104 years, fairly young when compared to aging differences between race.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family: - [This is partially copied from a peice I wrote before but re-made and extended to fit lore]

Cold and dark, leaves rustling, wind whistling, and no creature makes a
peep, save one.. Blonde hair lays peacefully on the rocks near the noisy
waterfall. Once again the young Elf boy has ran from home
late in the night. Nearing sleep the boy barely in his teens fiddles
with his grandfather's staff thinking of the things he had read earlier
in the day. His strength drains and he fades into a realm of magnificent
colorful beasts and assorted plant-life only possible in the wildest of
    dreams.

Dawn breaks, the embracing warmth of the sunlight
wraps Atrii in it's brilliance but soon comfort is abrupt-ed by a
familiar strong touch and the voice of his father. "Atrii, get up we
have got to finish the duties or mother will have my head!" Greets his
father. Iathen is a loving father and respected user of the magics, he
also helps supply the wanderers of the woods with food water and shelter
in their weary travels. The family owns a small wheat field in the
forest that is cared for often.

Atrii stands up slowly to match the height of his father, "Hurry, the
ground won't plow itself, although I should look into that." Croaks
Iathen while he wanders off 'tward the shed to get the stone tools.
Atrii grabs his staff and makes sure he has his Book and spring water on
him. He dusts off his tunic and scurries off to help his father.

Years pass, days filled with intense studying, forest exploring, and humbling
work for his father. Every step he carries his journal recording his
discoveries, deep thoughts, recipes, and daily events.

As Atrii reaches his adulthood at the age of 104 years, his knowledge is vast but his social skills lacking, He decides to leave the sefety of his home and venture out into the wide world of adventure and interesting people and races to meet. He travels to the nearest town to start his journey.

What are they like (personality)?: - Atrii is very loving and wise although his social skills are well below par, you might find him wandering the streets avoiding small talk and spending time near plant or animal life. He has a huge interest in the use of magic and hopes to learn it one day.

What are their ambitions?: - Atrii has no goals except to live his live any way he wants and to respect nature.

Do they have any special skills?: - His knowledge and experience in the forest are his greatest strengths although if he were to learn Druidism the basics would come natually.

What are their weaknesses?: - He has horris people skills and is not good with any objects besides his staff, a hoe, and his quill.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - He has long yellow locks of hair flowing down past his sholders and dons a robe decorated like the forest, He goes nowhere without his satchel, staff and journal. 68Pyly1.jpg
This is not my photo and all rights belong to their owner
I believe the copyright is Dream Reactor.

Anything else you want to say about them?: - Atrii will most likely find his way into discovering the Meges Guild and joining it if possible but this will all be determined IC.
