What is roleplaying?: - Where a player takes on the role of a character they have created and is fully immersed in gameplay playing as if they themselves were that character.

What’s metagaming?: - When a player uses knowledge gained from out of character sources (e.g talking to a friend outside of the game) that the in-game character would not normally have, to influence game play.

What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is when you make your player more powerful than they actually are. In essence it is making them do something that logically may not be possible. An example of this is during a roleplay fight if the other player hit you and you always seemed to dodge out the way, or another example is a halfling managing to lift an object only an orc could.

What sex are they?: - Male

How old are they?: - 154

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - Doltak was born into a poor family and so never really knew what it felt like to be wealthy. He would always barely have enough food and drink and his family found it hard to survive. This led to him personally being motivated by the incentive of money and so the thought of money is quite a powerful driving force for them. Add this to the fact Dwarves are already greedy and you have yourself one power hungry Dwarf.

Doltak left home as young as possible, to try and escape the poverty and make his name in the world. He didn’t particularly see himself as having any particular skills, but he could sure swing an axe. From a young age Doltak’s father taught him how to defend himself and with this training Doltak became a formidable warrior.

After leaving home Doltak made his way through the world fending for himself by hunting various animals for food, and keeping bandits away from the few precious sentiments he had. One day however there was a bandit who was different, he was a thief not a bandit, a Wood Elf. Doltak didn’t get to know his name, but the Elf seemed battle hardened as if he had once been a soldier. They began chatting and discussing battle strategy, with Doltak realising he was also rather strategically minded, working out possible scenarios in his head and the best way to deal with any problems. The Elf’s background also led this into them planning possible robberies, and with the Elf’s training Doltak soon realised he was deft with his hands too, he had the potential to be a thief.

However they never perfomed any of the robberies they planned, the Elf told Doltak he should find some honest work, and maybe one day they would meet again. With this the Elf took Doltak to the Dwarven capital Kal’Arkon to be left under the protection of a Dwarf he was friendly with, Sharr Irongut. Sharr was already in the Dwarven legion and so Doltak was swiftly accepted into their ranks to put his combat abilities to use. Doltak never forgot that strange Elf however, the one who had shown him kindness and company and vowed to one day find him again.

What are they like (personality)?: - Fun and friendly however cool headed when in battle.

What are their ambitions?: - To rise up the ranks of the Dwarven Legion, and find the mystery Elf.

Do they have any special skills?: - Very handy with an axe, with deft hands, and strategically minded.

What are their weaknesses?: - Sometime’s Doltak’s greed get’s in the way of what he really wishes to achieve, and his loyalties are questioned as he can be swayed easily with a few mina slipped into his pocket.
