What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - The rule against overuse of the OOC chat. Nothing interrupts a good exchange like unneeded OOC chat.

What is roleplaying?: - Roleplay is interacting with a world of characters through your own character. I always thought of decision-making in roleplay as the character influencing your decisions rather than the player controlling a character. You can truly make the character come to life if you RP correctly.
What’s metagaming?: - Metagaming is using knowledge that your character shouldn't have access to in a way that would give them some kind of advantage over another character.
What’s powergaming?: - Powergaming is using abilities and powers that your character have access to and not allowing another player to have an exchange on even ground.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): -
A common family anecdote persisted among the Silverheart family that when the Valkyr Silverheart was born, his twin brother Valdyr was holding on to his ankle. The race to be born first was just the initial event in a lifetime of brotherly competition between the twins. Born to a poor family with three older sisters, the twins grew up with a life of hard work and little reward.
Like his father, Valdyr took an initial interest in carpentry, though he was never tremendously skilled at the craft. Soldiering wasn't the life for him. Valdyr wasn't as warrior-spirited a man as his father or eldest brother to follow that path. No, his true calling would lie elsewhere. It would, however, take the fracturing of his family to help him realize it.
After the eldest Silverheart son had left home, Valdyr and Valkyr were forced to depend more on their alcoholic father and mentally disturbed mother for support. The needed guidance came in the form of beatings and abuse from their father and neurotic apathy from his wife. In time, the twins would come to react in drastically different ways.
To escape the home life, Valdyr would often take prolonged trips into the Hanseti wilderness - losing himself among the majesty of the natural world. During these trips, the young man discovered his affinity for hunting. He would experiment and find uses for varying botanical and herbalistic supplements, often out of necessity.
Still, he couldn't abandon his family or his brother. Valkyr constantly declined his offers to join him in these excursions, citing his obligations to the family. Valkyr, unlike Valdyr, fell into the belief that his abuse was warranted. A guilt-ridden Valkyr would often retreat into the wilderness on his lonesome.
During his increasing periods of solitude, Valkyr would ward off anti-social insanity through writing - both poetic and philosophical. Though illiterate, Valdyr developed his own series of shorthand written symbols to record his writing.
At age seventeen, Valdyr permanently moved away from home. He made money by selling meat and animal pelts to merchants in nearby towns, though spent most of his time in a hut he had built himself, recalling his days as a carpenter. This quiet, contemplative life was turned on its head by the arrival of his brother two years later with a travelling band of Dark Elves from Malinor...
What are they like (personality)?: - Valdyr has a relatively calm personality. He is a contemplative individual, generally considering himself more of a thinker than a brute. Socially, he is a bit of a pardox. His life of majority solitude hasn't affected his interactions with others. Writing and philosophical comtemplation have kept such anti-social tendencies at bay.
Towards other races, he is suspicious, but respectful and will keep an open mind.
What are their ambitions?: - Valdyr strives to be an entirely self-sufficient person, independent of governent and societal needs. He also wants to make ammends for the abandonment of his twin brother earlier in his life. It's his belief that protecting him now will make up for the decision in the long-run.
Do they have any special skills?: - Valdyr is a natural born hunter, able to traverse the forest in his native climate during nearly any weather conditions. While able to use a bow for these feats, he prefers to use his axe for greater satisfaction in the kill.
What are their weaknesses?: - Is functionally illiterate and not ever quite up to date on politics or gossip.
Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - Valdyr looks nearly identical to his brother, Valkyr, though his hair is longer (nearly to his shoulders) and a lighter shade of brown. One could define him as streamlined. He is fit, though not massively muscular or physically imposing.
Anything else you want to say about them?: - I'm hoping to get away from the political ambitions that past characters have had by formulating a character that is void of politics and drama. Apologies if he seems cliche in that fashion.
I understand the similarities in the profile, though I feel they are neccesary. Slight changes have been made to his own biography so that we can roleplay as brothers, though these are minor at best. You'll note these discrepencies if you read his profile compared to mine.
