((Perhaps it would be wise to merge with another pirate guild rather than create another one. You seem new to the server and sometimes it's better to get a feel for the server before creating a group.))

Hello, many of you may have recently seen my recent topic, the Dragontail Pirates. I am reposting for two reasons: The name and the organization. The name affiliates us with the kids' show Dragon Tails, and my first post was not very good.

Lore: Felix was a young Adunian who did not know what to do with his life, so he joined the Orenian army. He was a crewman on one of its army ships, but was thrown out of the army and into prison for murdering his superior. After spending an entire human lifetime (a half-lifetime for an Adunian) he was let out of prison. After being let out of prison, he got a job on a cargo ship as crewman. He quit because the work was horrible and the pay was even worse. After quitting his job, he noticed a nice ship at the harbor, so Felix assembled a small crew and stole the ship. Ever since, Felix has been living at sea.

Oh, yes and since we do not want to be affiliated with a kids' show, we are changing our name. The new name will be: you get to decide. I want you guys to suggest new names for the crew since we are not the kids' show Dragon Tails. Best name wins! I am the judge!

GENERAL SUMMARY OF CHARACTER: Samson was born into a crew, his father the captain, and his mother at home, considered a "Land lover".  He loved fighting and blood shed. All he would do was watch the pirates fight and loot,  but Samson was always in the back. Until he was 24, he left because he thought he could get more respect from another crew. He noticed he lacked minas, so he figured that the crew would be a good way to earn some more minas, and do the thing he loved which was fighting.

WHY YOU WANT TO JOIN:  This seems like a good role for my character, and also it's a pretty awesome sounding group! :D

GENERAL SUMMARY OF CHARACTER: Robard was apart of the Lumi'drim for four years back in Anthos, working alongside of his father. Robard knows how to take orders. Years ago Robard worked for the Oren Royal Navy when he was just 7 years old, working as a cabin boy. Robard worked his way through the ranks until the Royal Navy came to an abrupt stop.

WHY YOU WANT TO JOIN: Well naval rp has always been fun for me and there just isn't enough on lotc and this seems like a good opportunity.

GENERAL SUMMARY OF CHARACTER: Kvisder simply wants one thing, gold. He wants gold, silver, diamond, emerald, he wants to be rich. So he joined several different crews, but they all refused to get him the metal needed for their weapons. Now he is here, he will smith for you, given the right materials, and he will fight for you.

WHY YOU WANT TO JOIN: To do some naval rp, and perhaps some port cities. But the idea of

being a pirate sounds even better. So now heres Kvisder.

A generally neutral character, though not that much of a fighter, enjoys relaxing and beautiful scenery. Having grown up in a port town, (s)he's seen a lot of navigators, and heard a lot of techniques for navigation. (Her)His father, a cartographer, taught (her)him how to read maps, upon question of (her)his father's work, that is. (S)He doesn't have much tieing her anywhere, with no place to call home, (s)he wanders, and has been painting and drawing for the past 3-5~ years of (her)his life.

 

WHY YOU WANT TO JOIN:

OOCly: Been hyped up about trying to RP a pirate for while now.

 

ICly: As said, holding no ties, (s)he is wanting to explore, and adventure to try and capture the most beautiful of scenery from around the world.

Hey, just a quick suggestion. I would take a look at the Guild Guide which can be found here: http://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/36469-somethings-to-consider-when-creating-a-guild/

 

Take all them points into consideration and then I would personally make your thread look a lot nicer with much more detail. Take a look at other popular guild threads for inspiration. Feel free to take a look at mine.

 

Just a friendly piece of advice as I can tell it's probably your first guild :)

General Summary of Character: Chirr's a female dark elf. She was an assassin in the past. Her group scattered, and she became a wanderer. She doesn't talk much, and is careful about what she says when she does speak.

Why I want to join: Chirr wants to find a group where she can belong again. She feels that she's lost her purpose. ((Ooc reason: I'm trying to get more rp for my character and get back in the flow of things since I lost a lot of rp when my group scattered.))

You don't actually set sail but you have a crew and have a GM move it to whatever location you want, then you make a teleporter on deck, and have a duplicate of the ship on whatever dock you want and we can pirate from there

First mate is usually the second in command, and pirates don't have quatermasters you are thinking navy, but their job is basically like a receptionist. Dealing with the paperwork, the uniform delegation, armour delegation, weapon delegation, etc, etc

False, I actually looked it up and Quartermasters were the second-in-command on pirate ships

((I see this would be fun if you had a pirate base on an island, set up a fleet, recruit lots of people then set sail to places eg a beach and raid the town nearest to the beach, it'd be fun to see this happen))

I'd need a crew for the island, for keeping out invaders, which is why i'd rather recruit crew first

OH ya, and all of the possible roles:

QUARTERMASTER: second-in-command (1 position available)

FIRST MATE: captain's personal assistant (1 position available)

COOK: prepares food for crew (2 positions available)

BLACKSMITH: prepares armor and weapons (3 positions available)

TINKER: makes sure cannons and other weapons of that sort are working (2 available)

NAVIGATOR: tells us best route and places to go (1 available)

HELMSMAN: steers the ship (1 position available)

SCOUT: sits on crow's nest and looks out for ship (5 positions available)

CREWMAN: does the fighting, unloading, loading, washing, and other meanial tasks (infiinitely available)

I've tried to make a pirate crew before recruiting exclusively in RP, but it doesn't reach many people, so I finally made a forum post about this. Pretty much, we're a pirate crew. If I, by some miracle, actually get a crew then I would be captain. All of the other positions are currently open.Once we get recruitment then we would join together and steal a ship, then we would set sail smuggling rum and bananas. How does shade magic work? I'm kinda interested.

((Tape, don't worry about them. Let people create clans as they wish, we have no say in it other than recognizing it or not in rp. However, as tape stated, there should be proper information on the clan listed on this post. Don't put half effort into these things. Make a history, a tradition, and something that makes this clan, a clan. Also, I believe this is Gombie's clan and his people came along with mine, which were Germanic-esque in sorts. If they want to be a little more oriented towards Scandinavians, let them, it gives their clan a little more flavor. (Not much too much scandinavian though))).
