Some of my friends mention "LotC", so I hit it up on google, and lo and behold!

What do you think the server will be like? - 
In all honesty, I think it'll be amazing. At the same time, I'm afraid that such a big server might not give newer players the possibility for higher level of roleplay (such as becoming a HighBorn).

What’s your favourite rule / the rule you agree with the most?: - 

"Another person may never permanently kill your character, although an Administrator has the right to enforce one in extreme circumstances." This. I've seen some rather irritating problems on other servers where this is not a rule, and therefore has not stopped players being PK:ed due to higher power roleplay wise.

Definitions


What is roleplaying?: - 

Roleplaying is the act of creating another character/fantasy and to act in that fantasy or as that character. You act as your created character would act, and you think like your created character would think.

What’s metagaming?: - 
Metagaming is the act of using information you have acquired OOC (Out Of Character) and then to use it RP'ly. There's no way that the character you are playing as would know the information that you, the player, have gained from out-of-the-RP-world.

What’s powergaming?: - 
Powergaming is the act of going over the character's abilites, and also not to give another player the chance to roleplay. If you happen to be a humble farmer, you can't just slay a fully armored knight with a mere stone by only typing "Pelle throws stone at the knight and then picks up the dead knight's body". Here, you've gone over your character's abilites, and at the same time not giving the other player chance to react RP'ly, by defining that you picked up his dead body.

Give us a brief description of their life - their story, childhood, family (Include server lore when writing): - 

During Elwë's growth, he'd always been loved by his parents. He was the only child, and due to him not having any friends, he was always interested in literature and science. He had always had an open mind for all things in nature, and yearned to learn. That was his goal, he felt like. Since a child, he was also thought to wield a bow by his father. His father also taught him to make a rather healthy and strong body, which led to him being able to surive in the wild when he needed. He had previously lived with his family in Anthos, but when disaster struck, and his family fell victims to it, he had taken it upon himself to find his way to the Fringe, and to start a new life, where he could explore the world and increase his knowledge.

What are they like (personality)?: - 
Elwë is a man who is open minded to all sorts of ideas. He is also very open minded when it comes to different kinds of situations. He rarely gets angry, or roars at someone, but instead peacefully listens to them and tries to find the most logical solution to the dilemma at hand. His motivation is "To rather be friends and solve, than to be enemies and kill."

What are their ambitions?: - 

Elwë seeks to find the worlds knowledge, and to unlock everything within it. Even if he knows that it is impossible, he still yearns for knowledge. He seeks a world where everyone can live beautifully and in peace, a world where only the light and knowledge trives. A world where the Undead and darkness won't spread.

Do they have any special skills?: - 
While Elwë does withhold lots and lots of knowledge, and manages to contrive good solutions to different problems. Even though he is smart, he is also strong, and can handle a bow with ease. This way, he can easily survive in the wild, as well as in war. His intelligence mixed with his strong body and his aptitude for the bow equals to him being a survivor as well as a scout.

What are their weaknesses?: - 

Elwë is really weak to war, as he does not dare to look at devastation and chaos. He is also afraid of the darkness, something he aspires to beat. Since Elwë is the manifestation of contradiction itself, he also seeks to taste war. That is his way of life, and it'll continue to be. He is also rather easily weakwilled against women.

Elwë is also seriously allergic to stupidness and the like, but I guess that's not important.

Give us a description of how they look (not a screenshot yet!)?: - 
EDIT: Elwë is a man with a constant hood on his head. He has blue eyes, something that indicates of his knowledge. His clothes are made of a light green colour, something that resembles leaves during a sunny day. His pants and parts of his arms are made of grey colour. His boots and hood is also made of the same green colour. He is an elf of fair skin. His hair is of a light brown colour, even if it is rarely seen. His body is small, but somewhat muscular. At his full height, he is 1.95 metres.

He's mighty OP.
