Riight, so if I had a profession in Woodcutting and I cut wood, I would gain XP for doing that?  

I am new to LOTC and I am wondering how I would earn XP in the server?

What is metagaming?:

Metagaming is where a person possess the knowledge of something that his/her character wouldn't actually know, just so they could gain an advantage on the game. Metagming is disallowed on this server.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?:

Powergaming is where a character announces what they are attempting to do, and then explain how it will end that instant, without the outcome being determined by the moderator. Power-emoting is disallowed on this server.

Biography: (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Solo was raised in a dwarf-sized village in the harsh weathers of the mountaintops. There he grew to become a hard working family member, always doing as he was bid. At the young age of sixteen, their village was raided by a band of thieves, yet the people retaliated. They won and managed to drive them away from the lands. It was in this fight that Solo showed courage and strength in protecting his people. Without hesitation he saved a young women and her son from two bandits by fighting them with a sword, even though he was just a simple farm boy. This would seem odd to some, but the people of the village valued the few warriors and defenders in the town and accepted any help they could get, for these parts were vulnerable to thieves. Solo was given the opportunity to join the small band of guardians in the town but after much thought, he rejected. The boy wanted more in his life and although his parents advised him other wise, he strongly explained that he wanted to explore and experience the known world. Solo hoped to be part of something large, something significant in this world, and so his parents ceased to argue. A year later, after working at the house he gathered his supplies and set out into the Isles of Axios. Solo wanted to be prepared in case of fights, so he brought light weapons for his travels. For many years, Solo traveled alone, learning the ways of survival and practicing his skills with light swords, short bows, and knives. He knew someday he would attend something important, but for the current days he would explore the planet and continue to learn stealth and combat.

An unconscious habit of viewing the world from a higher point of view.  Loves the excitement of exploring the unknown.

Solo strives to be apart of something larger than himself, something significant.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)

Solo is skilled in the art of swift weaponry such as knives, bows, and light swords. His techniques are based upon stealth and swiftness.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)

Living out in the wilderness for so long has downgraded his social life and has caused him to feel very awkward around others. He is very slow to trust people due to the massacre to his family.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: Metagaming and Powergaming of any kind are not allowed. 

Do you understand combat rules, and what you can and can’t do if you do choose to role-play as a villain?: I am not playing as a villain so no I don’t.

What is roleplaying?: RP is the act of playing the role of and acting out as a character would, rather than yourself

What’s metagaming?: Metagaming refers to making decisions and discussing topics based on information that your character would realistically have no way of knowing.

What’s powergaming?: "“A player can be described as a power-gamer if he or she presumes or declares that his or her own action against another player character is successful without giving the other player the character the freedom to act on his own prerogative.”

What race are they? (and sub-race if applicable): He is a highlander in the Human race.

What gender are they?: Male

Give us a highlight of their past, What life events make your character the person they are today? This is your character's biography. It is also required to include server lore when writing. (Names of towns, major server events, ect. Most lore can be found on our wiki.):  In the land of Athera on a sandy beach a young baby boy was born.  He lived with his parents for not long until he was given to a friend in Petrus.  There the little boy grew up, Allard, and became strong and talented with the sword.  Later he was sent to a guild called the Stealthhoods who trained him and many others in the art of stealth and skill.  Allard later became aware of his surrounding and his own strength and wanted to protect Athera from being harmed. 

After the training in the Stealthhoods guild he built his own house on the outskirts of Petrus.  There he now lives and is a stealth and skilled man.  A boy who was given away to grow up became a great sword fighter. 

What are they like? (personality):  Kind, likes to talk to people (if they are not mean and bad), and always plans out his tactics before going into battle.

What are their ambitions?: He wants to become a better strong warrior and to become a king who brings peace and balance to Athera and other lands.

Do they have any special skills? What are their weaknesses? (Try to list a few of both):  Allard’s special skill is mainly the art of stealth and is very swift with a sword.

Give us a description of how they look?: Blue eyes, not combed hair that is the color of brown.  He also wears a leather tunic.
