How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? As stated before, I was looking for roleplay servers when LoTC came up. Interested, I applied.

What is roleplaying?: The act of taking on the persona of an invented or given character, and acting them out as if you were that character.

What is metagaming?: Metagaming is the use of information gained in out of character used in character to benefit yourself or others.

What is powergaming?: Although having multiple meanings, the roleplay version of powergaming is the act of giving yourself an unfair advantage through emotes or character design, not giving the other player (if in a fight), a chance to defend them-self, or respond.

In-Character Information

Character’s name: Kayenor Iolas 

Character’s gender: Male

Character’s race: Elf, Woodlands

Character’s age: 114

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): 

Kayenor was born into the Iolas family, to a loving mother and father, known as Elysia and Ayduin. He also had an older brother, adopted into the family at a young age. Even at the young of age of 6, Kayenor was already being taught by his brother, how to defend himself. He learned the basics of swordplay, and unarmed fighting. By the age of 15, he was quite the fighter. When he wasn't training, or being practising, he was helping his father with the farm the family owned.

When Kayenor had reached the age of 40, his mother passed, died to an arrow shot during a skirmish. This skirmish was caused by the great move,  the leaving of Thales, and his home, in Celi'ante. During the trip into new lands, his father was going through a life of depression, and silence. His father disappeared, without much word, leaving only 3 people left in the family. Kayenor, his great grandfather Haldir, and his brother. The move had a great effect on the family, and downed the spirits of the two brothers. Luckily, they had Haldir. Who cheered them up, and reassured them when he needed to. Finally they arrived in Athera, and of course, the brothers needed a place to stay. Haldir went off into the woods to make himself a small place to stay. The two brothers needed a way of making money, they knew that. Kayenor decided that the idea of getting into tailoring might be helpful, and his brother, got into farming. After some time, Kayenor became quite the tailor. Making enough money, they were able to buy and maintain a household, and keep a little extra money for themselves.

Kayenor one day, decided it would be best to visit Haldir before he passed. The two talked for ages, until at one point, Haldir mentioned Druidism. This art interested Kayenor greatly, as he had always been an enthusiast of nature. Knowing in order to accomplish this feat, he had to leave the household he'd grown up in, and move on. Packing his things, he left his brother in charge of the house, but not before tailoring himself a fine pair of robes. Finally on his way, Kayenor stepped out of his home of safety, and into the real world, anxious to see what awaited him.

 

Personality Traits: Kayenor almost always acts calm, unless greatly enraged. Emotion rarely shows in him, aside from faint smiles, frowns, and sighs. In real anger, his voice may raise. All in all, he is quite peaceful.

Ambitions: Kayenor wishes to one day become a druid, as Haldir advised. He also wishes to make his way up in the ranks of the elves.

Strengths/Talents: Kayenor's swordplay and unarmed fighting skills are quite good, along with his ability to stay calm.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Despite swordplay skill, Kayenor's ability to shoot a bow is not very strong. Along with this, Kayenor's social skills could use improvement.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Kayenor stands at around 6'3", with a weight of around 190 lbs. His hair is long, and of a dark shade of brown. His eyes are a beautiful shade of blue, and he wears a fine set of beige and green robes. His feet are quiet dirty, as footwear is not often used by him. A belt with a few basic weapons sits around his waist, the weapons not far from use. His hair is of a darker, more tanned complexion.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft? I found it upon googling "Minecraft RP server." It came up on the first page, and looked very intriguing.

In-Character Information

Character’s gender: Male

 Kayenor was born into the family, an Elnari from the beginning. His brother was an adopted child, who was only at the age of 7 when Kayenor was born. Nevertheless, his parents loved both of them equally, and the two brothers got along well, rarely fighting or quarrelling. His father, Ayduin, and his mother, Elysia, were very protective, and the two mostly stayed out of trouble. As far as Kayenor knew, his life was quite simple. He farmed with his parents, and his one brother, he played games in the forest, and he was taught everything he knew by his mother. He lived happily in a home with all 4 of his family members until around the age of 43. At this time, his mother passed, killed by an arrow in a battle. His father was driven into depression, and eventually left, leaving Kayenor and his brother in charge of the house. There was only a small problem, this problem being income. In order to keep the house, money had to be made. There were very little ways known to the two about doing this.

As stated before, to keep the house, work had to be done. Food had to be sold, things had to be made, and Kayenor began to tailor clothing, to see if him and his brother could make any extra income. Kayenor became quite the tailor, making fine outfitting and clothing, and all the income was dedicated to the upkeep of the house. He made himself a fine pair of clothing, brown, green, and beige. His favourite colour combination. He didn't only tailor, he also fished in a pond near the house, selling the fish and farming materials in a local stall. This made them enough money to keep the house, and a decent amount of extra money, all of which went towards things Kayenor deemed necessary, such as armour, weapons, and tools.

Eventually, it was time to move on. He was 100 years of age, and decided to let his brother keep the family home. It was time to find a house of his own. Now able to keep the house funded, his brother lived on a happy, quiet life,  and Kayenor moved on, not only find a household of his own, but also to find someone to spend the rest of his life with. He also had something in the far back of his mind, that he'd not mention until later; Druidism. Of course, until that later time, his main focus was finding a place to live. Into town he went, searching for adventure. His father and his mother, Ayduin and Elysia missing, and his brother living his life at the farm house, Kayenor was cast into the world, about to find out what would come upon him as he entered it.

Personality Traits: Confident, and outgoing, yet tends to hide emotion, or rarely show it. On occasion, he may be seen cracking a joke.

Ambitions: Kayenor's ambitions are to further study Druidism, and to become better at swimming.

Strengths/Talents: Unlike most Elves, Kayenor is only average with a bow, and prefers to use a handheld weapon, such as a glaive.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Kayenor's anger control isn't very strong, and can result in him performing harsh actions that Elves don't often do. Aside from this, he is not a very strong swimmer.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Kayenor stands at 6'1" and around  190lbs. His hair falls nearly down to his eyes, and his ears shoot right out of his hair. He dresses in simplistic Brown and Green clothing, and tends to spend a lot of time barefooted. His skin is of a semi-tan colour.
