  1. Honestly, just a guy who thinks he can help in some way. Like I said, I don't necessarily have a reputation around here, which can be a good or bad thing, though I'm hoping to remedy that with contributing more. Thankfully I see there's trials for GMs, rather than acceptance simply being a popularity contest apparently.

    Age: (14+ is a requirement.) 19

    Timezone: (Example: GMT.) Central (US)

Discord: (Your current Discord username, example: Test#1234.) SolvedRumble#3046

What map did you join during?: (Example: Axios) Athera

Do you have access to a microphone?: (Yes / no.) Yes

Average daily playing time?: (How much time on average do you spend on the server?) I normally dedicate a few hours a day, if they're regular days and not particularly busy or eventful. I'd say at least 3 hours.

Have you held any LotC staff position(s) before? If so, for how long?: (Discuss what position(s) you have held before. If the answer is none, put N/A.) Unfortunately, I have not held any sort of staff position on LotC before, though I'm hoping to start one day.

Why do you want to join the GM Team?: (Discuss briefly why you want to join the GM Team.) I mainly want to join the GM team because of the contribution a moderator makes to a server. I was a game moderator in the past on a popular roleplay server called RomeCraft, and nearly became Admin though before that could happen I left minecraft entirely for a while. I genuinely loved helping resolve people's issues and held a pretty fair standard of justice when it came to the rules and controversial debates over them. I maintained a reputation as a really good moderator, and so I'm applying to hopefully continue that record on LotC. Whether that means going through a probationary trial period, so be it. I'm enthusiastic to help in any way I can.

Have you applied for this position before and been denied? If so, link the application: (Link any previously denied GM applications.) I have never applied for this position, nor any staff position on LotC.

Anything else you want to tell us?: (This is optional.) Ultimately, what I think moderating comes down to is having a connection with the playerbase and being able to work things out. I've been apart of the community since 2015, yet I've had several hiatuses (mainly due to not having any real commitments to stay for), so I know I'm not a very reputable player here. But I do understand the responsibilities of the position and the skill-sets required to excel within it. I'm definitely a big rules guy, as I strongly believe a RP server requires them in order to maintain a well-oiled experience for the players, so I'll enforce the rules to the utmost of my abilities. And going back to my initial point - I'm willing to connect with every player in order to see to it that whatever problem they are having, whether it be with the server or with other players, is resolved with the most agreeable terms for everyone. That way everybody can get back to what's important - roleplaying and just having fun.

    In-Character Information

    Character’s name: Jeross Derondan

    Character’s gender: Male

    Character’s race: Human

    Character’s age: 25

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):

Jeross was borne to unknown parents and deposited (at a young age) into

an obscure village in the realm of Athera. He assumed a place working alongside the humble farmers of the village, as it was said he had to earn his keep and work for the subsistence of the community. Jeross had a caretaker, an older man named Tymaren. Tymaren had been a farmer most of his life, and had served in the village militia from time to time to serve the reigning lord of the land at any given time. Tymaren instructed Jeross in the trade of farming, and passed on to him basic combat skills. These involved swordplay, archery, and the art of defense. The other folk had held the two in deep curiosity, pondering what the motives of Tymaren were for taking up the strange boy and teaching him these skills.

And so Jeross continued to live with Tymaren, tending to the village fields along with the other humble farmers. It was when Jeross had reached his 20th birthday that his life would change significantly. As he was plowing the many rows of fertile soil, he suddenly heard a collection of screams and crying. Jeross quickly dropped his farm equipment and rushed his way towards the commotion. He had come upon the small wooden bridge that connected the granary and the fields, where a small crowd had gathered. The folk were peering off into the distance, following a small blur in the water. Jeross focused his sight onto the figure and realized, to his dismay, that it was Tymaren's body. Somehow, Tymaren's body had fallen into the river and was swept away by the current. Jeross rushed down to the riverbank, sprinting along the river as fast as he can. He tried so hard to meet the old man in speed, but just couldn't quite make it. As the current accelerated, Jeross collapsed to the ground in exhaustion. His trembling hands clenched the dirt beneath him, his emerald green eyes frozen on the body of his mentor, and best friend. Tymaren's body rode the river that day, to a destination unknown.

Jeross was filled with sorrow, and resigned to working the fields all day, every day. "What a pathetic way for a great man to die..." he would think as his strong arms would bear the plow, stroking the bosom of the earth. One day, many years later, Jeross had encountered a traveling man by the name of Kalovin in the village inn. Kalovin was on his way to the nearest city to make his fortune, and quickly befriended Jeross. Now Jeross saw his opportunity to turn things around, and agreed to accompany Kalovin. Jeross packed only a few clothes and some provisions for the trip, and the two men began their journey to Fortune. Their chosen destination would preferably be Petrus, as they figured that would be the best place to find good work. They may even choose to serve the many lords and even King Andrik Vydra as soldiers, if they find they have the gut for it.

Personality Traits:  Jeross is kind, though sometimes his defensive wall is breached and he is quick to temper.  He is strong-willed and charismatic, yet prone to bouts of depression and idle sessions of silence in his quarters where ever they may be. Jeross values three things above all else: Humility, Honor, Family.

Jeross is also quite literate, despite being an orphan boy-farmer. He's got a scholarly streak, and often likes to read about the stories of kingdoms like Oren, the Orenian Empire, and the Carrion dynasty to be specific. He finds himself pondering what it'd be like to live as a Knight in service to a lord or even the King himself, yet realizes these thoughts are far from where he is now.

Ambitions: Jeross wants to make his mark on the world, and strives to earn a living using the skills Tymaren had taught him.

Strengths/Talents: Jeross is a good farmhand, and skilled in the basics of combat.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Jeross has a fear of water (and to a lesser extent bridges) and anything aquatic, mainly due to the event of Tymaren's death.

Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): Jeross is of a muscular physique, with average height and weight. His eyes are an emerald green, and his hair a reddish hue of brown with a well grown beard. His skin is fair in complexion. He often wears a red tunic with some leather strappings adorning it.
