From the stillness of a disembodied existence, wisps of lightless light surpass a familiar presence; You, an unseated entity stirred by the clutch of undying mists.

Suddenly, You are bathed in excruciating light as your senses turn inward; You breathe stagnant air, and blink with lidless eyes. You don’t belong here.

    For the first time since the last time, You hear a voice;

“It failed. Throw them back into the meat-hole, Deadmund!”

What magic(s) will you be teaching?

             Rh'thoraen Necromancy

Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

Rh'thoraen Necromancy is a magic that originated as stagnating mists carried from the False Sea, which engulfed a city eventually known as Rh'thor, and made undead of every descendant that came to conquer it. Necromancy is the manipulation of its stagnant curse, of which a tribe was once granted by a burning tree discovered beyond the mists. As eventually spread and revived by a faith known as the Red Vigil, necromancy became a tool of wide-spread suffering apart from the near-immortal peace known by Rh'thoraens.

These combined practices cover the manipulation of lifeforce and useful reagents, as written by Rh’thoraens in The Apocryphynium. Necromancy is a heavily cooperative magic centered on roleplay and combat, utilizing summons and lasting afflictions.

Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

Rh'thoraen Necromancy includes combative maledictions, corpse-crafting, necromantic plagues, rituals and sacraments used within covens, a variant of alchemy utilizing Liquid Lifeforce, and lasting curses to be used against living characters.

Maledictions make use of combative spellcasting like Darkening, which was first used to steal life and trigger the birth of the Redlord. This includes Tether Draining and its cantrip, temporary reanimation known as Branding and Living Touch, exhaustive healing known as Cauterization, and an explosive affliction called Bursting.

Corpsecrafting is the smithing of corpses and dead organic material, which allows transmutation from flesh to bone and vice versa. Beyond Branding, corpsecrafting allows reanimations made with embalming, fleshsmithing and rites in Thaumaturgy, including trinkets known as Oculi to control risen dead. Modifications are also used as the experimentation of cursed bodies for a variety of traits.

Pestilence is defined as plagues born from a necromancer's corrupted lifeforce, absorbed by food and drink, as well as boneforged implements made from corpsecrafting. This includes a variety of curable diseases, and custom plagues that can be applied for as MArts.

Thaumaturgy involves rituals and sacraments used in support of a coven. This includes necromancer revival, the creation of Oculi, draining of living descendants for Liquid Lifeforce as used in Black Alchemy, communion with the dead, a soft-PK mechanic used against Darkstalkers and Archliches, the reanimation of a gargantuan amalgamation, the ability to taint farmland/flora/bodies of water with pestilence, and the Rite of Ordainment that officiates one as a necromancer and blackens their soul. Included are sacraments used for the creation of rifts of Heith-Hedran, and the creation of Darkstalkers and Archliches.

Black Alchemy is defined as a variant of alchemy used by necromancers, conditional on the Rite of Draining for Liquid Lifeforce. Its recipes include a minorly prolonged lifespan with withdrawal, a draught for youthful appearances, a hallucinogen that suspends one in temporary death, a cure for natural and magical diseases (and pestilence), and blight that mimics Rh'thoraen mists, killing all fauna and slowly infecting descendants that step inside.

Pale Curses exist as the result of tampering with a living descendant's flow of lifeforce. Included is direct touch and a more complicated ranged chant, that when applied, incur tells known as Vile Signs that hint at a variety of physical and mental curses. Major physical and mental curses are included and can be additionally applied as Familial Curses, and as properties of Black Trinkets made by their own ritual.

Many of these subsections list shared mechanics or are referenced in Thaumaturgy applying to greater rituals, such as the Rite of Malediction that utilizes Pestilence to taint pieces of land in a chosen malediction, or the Rite of Draining which produces the Liquid Lifeforce necessary for Black Alchemy.

As mentioned above, the Sacrament of the Usurer is used for the creation of a Darkstalker. They are powerful undead that progress through stages of strength and counts of lifeforce drained from living descendants. They are bound to a Memento Mori upon being made, existing as a tool of subjugation that can be broken.

The Sacrament of the Thaumaturge is used for the creation of a Draugur. These are mummified corpses with the ability to practice void magic, bound to a phylactery made with aurum and primed with lifeforce, or alternatively created by Lifegems encased in a mold. Crimson Veils are illusory tools that can be made with a sacrifice and bound to a Draugur. These masks will embolden the casting tier of the Draugur and mask their undead state.

Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

    Bursting:

Concluding an exchange of thundering blows, Radovan lowered alongside his putrescent hound as a haze surrounded outstretched hands that pressed against it.

He held a stare to the shrewd merchant who had tried to trade boomsteel for his tutelage, as wisps of black danced over the hound's patchwork skin and poured through open wounds.

The necrolyte's towering golem of flesh continued its assault on the merchant, thrashing misshapen fists through the wall at either side of the poor man's head. Still, the haze that fled from Radovan's hands continued to engulf the undead hound.

Even the adept necrolyte failed to mask growing anxiety as his haze dispersed, and the hound took on a thousand-yard stare...

"KILL HIM!" The necromancer cried while clutching a crystalline trinket in raised hands. Unbeknownst to the hound, stitches popped from its rapid bloat, and patchwork flesh smoldered as the beast launched itself toward the merchant.

Following an unsightly explosion, walls were caked in congealed rot; the merchant had been caught point-blank, and was killed by the use of Bursting. It was a needless end, as a lowered arm revealed infectious wounds Radovan had been dealt due to being within the explosion's radius.

Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

    Branding:

The necromancer loomed over bundled remains, ushering forth the wide-eyed acolyte at his side. Soiled hands plunged beneath bones and decay.

"You may give rise to a servant." Without further explanation, the teacher's hands trembled while engulfed in a haze that crept over skeletal remains.

With eyes sealed shut, the acolyte defiantly pressed both hands into nearby bones. He struggled and writhed, breathing through clenched teeth. The teacher's sharp instruction broke silence.

"Channel your lifeforce, directed by your hands. Alter the residuals of these remains, and you may will it to stand. Do as I do."

The teacher watched carefully as his acolyte shadowed each movement, and soon willed flickering wisps that scaled the rot surrounding his hands. A crooked smirk pried from his student to the carcass that he tainted with corrupted lifeforce, as extremities twitched and seized. "It will not last. After some time, it will falter. Be wary of these limitations." Radovan warned, while the corpse he loomed over continued to shudder.

The acolyte's stare narrowed at the corpse as black mists struggled to alter it. Yet, the student offered his greatest efforts, with arms that trembled under focused strain and made visible a foul miasma that pressed over the corpse's surface. Subtle twitching rose to convulsions as the student watched on, emboldened by his manipulation of lifeforce. Radovan shared a morbid smile with the acolyte as his own corpse rose alongside, shambling to a rise.

Finally, the student's branded corpse shuddered and rose to stand from a puddle of spoiling meat that fell to the altar below. The acolyte slumped to one side, exhausted and unresponsive while in awe of the corpse left to his command.

"Do not overcomplicate your orders. Speak plain, and simple." The necromancer instructed while turning to part from his student. "Follow." A command willed one of the two corpses to limp after him, leaving fragmented bone and bits of flesh in its wake.

Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

If my student powergamed, I would reach out to them OOC and ask if there had been a misunderstanding or if some detail of lore had slipped their mind. I would offer a more detailed lesson, or incorporate more precise emotes and writing in my roleplay with them. If there was no error on my part or I was unable to find a solution, I'd contact LT.

    Creator's RP Name:

             Castiel

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Zar'eika (Zezimar) are nefarious, humanoid Inferi with three subtypes to fit a variety of roles. Physically, Zar'eika are humanoid but monstrous in detail with a degree of creative freedom, so long as their appearance alone doesn't offer advantages in combat. There are redlines to balance their effectiveness in design, such as dividing strength between their number of extra arms, being unable to crush others with their tail, etc. Zar'eika do not age but diminish visually and are almost entirely carnivorous, but they may survive on plant-based foods at the cost of their strength. Zezimar are killable; they may bleed to death, be beheaded, starved and so on.

Mentally, Zezimar are intelligent and capable of logical decisions. They are manipulative, selfish creatures that find pleasure in cruelty and malice. There are never mutually beneficial or willingly selfless acts; any relationships are intended to be self-serving in some manner, excluding their Prince, but they may have reserved intentions toward them. Although forced to obey their Prince, Inferi tend to be uncooperative and may intend to sabotage their Prince's plans. All Zar'ei can also read, write and speak Ilzakarn.

The Zezimar fall under one of three subtypes: The Malda, a casting subtype that lacks physicality (similar to Void sickness) but excels in Malflame abilities with a pool of 70 maleus. They possess Malflame spells from Tier 1 to Tier 4. Next is the Kozun, a warrior subtype serving as the caster-brute balance of the three. They have fewer available Malflame spells with a pool of 40 maleus, but reach peak human physicality. Lastly is the Rakaal, a brute subtype with only two Malflame spells and a pool of twenty maleus, but have peak Orcish physicality. All of these subtypes may have aesthetic Malflame (ashy breath, burning embers, etc.) without consuming maleus. Their maleus pools will also refresh every [12] IRL hours.

Because of their selfish drive for power, Zezimar inherently understand how to undergo evolution and devour souls. In order to evolve, a Zezimar must consume three souls untouched by Naztherak by killing soul-bearing characters. This does not require the victim to PK, and they may pursue an alternative bargain to sap a portion of the victim's soul at the cost of nightmares and sickness lasting [1] IRL Week. The victim will also receive a burn-like scar where siphoned. Once the requirements for metamorphosis have been met, Zezimar will retreat into their lair and the process will begin; although they will be left vulnerable during this change, each subtype of Zezimar will obtain a boon for their weaknesses. The Witch will have greater physical strength, the Knight will have greater control of Malflame and a larger pool, and the Brute will have a slightly larger pool of maleus with an additional spell.

There is one additional stage of evolution that involves ascension as an event character, leaving them unplayable but considerably more grand and serves as a way of sending it off.

Leontiy will be the Malda subtype.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

Leontiy's frame will be that of an emaciated corpse wrought with fungal growths and dilapidated flesh. It will often appear sick, slightly hunched and struggling to breathe air. Its skin is covered by fungal roots that shift and, if closely watched, pulse as if arteries. It will display a coughing fit of ash and scarcely speak, and smells of sulfur at times. What hair exists has been replaced by shifting roots, and its mismatched eyes remain dull behind what seem to be cataracts. Lastly, its hands are slightly malformed. Apart from these details, it retains a humanoid form.

As the Malda subtype, Leontiy (soon named Ruzga) will generally be physically incapable but excel in its use of Malflame. It will be a more reserved Inferi, but no less malicious.
