What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying would be when you roleplay as a character in any setting at any time. You play along with other characters to create a story based on the actions you use at that moment.
What is metagaming?: Basically like, you know things about your character that they don't know. So, you know where something is...but your character doesn't...so you don't get to decide what your character does then, because they don't know what to do, even though you do.
What is powergaming?: So, let's say you wanna do something with someone else, but they don't want to do it. Well, you can't just force them to do it, which would be powergaming. So basically, you tie them up and drag them around essentially without their consent.
In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.
Kano lived most of his life on a farm. Born, raised, and taught on a farm, no more, no less. His mother, Taemen, was a widowed woman who'd lost her husband, due to an Orc attack. Kano was 5 at the time. Due to this loss, Kano spent many of his days learning from his mother or other men around their home, Athera. With a little self confidence and and an introverted mother, Kano
was left with little hope for a good future. His mother, never letting him out of the house until he turned 13, always made sure that her son was safe by her side. She babied him until he finally moved out of the house, finding his own home close by.
On his 25th birthday, his mother ended up dying from an unknown illness she'd had since her father died. The mysterious illness had passed on to one of his childhood friends, Carzack, who was close to Kano since they were toddlers. Kano fell into depression soon after he'd turned 27, losing Carzack shortly after his mother had left. Kano lived alone for 3 years, never coming outside unless he needed supply from somewhere. This changed when his home had been torn down by unknown theives- well, unknown to him at least. Enraged with the fact that his home was now demolished, and put under contruction, he lives with a neighbour he's known for 5 years. Since then, he's been a little more open to people, continuing his life on a farm, working on the crops to pay off his home's contruction.
Ambitions: He wants to redeem his wealth and place in royalty.
Strengths/Talents: Strength: He's emotionally strong; he can with stand any kind of emotional scenario and still pass as 'sane'. Talent: He's not very talented other than the ability to dance, which itself isn't good.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: Weakness: He actually dislikes the mentioning of his mother, and is always locked in his home with the lack of social skills. Inhability: Pretty much everything that doesn't involve farming.
