What is roleplaying?: Becoming a character to play as. You do actions that the character would do and not what you would do.
What is metagaming?: It is using information that YOU know but your character doesn't know in game.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Forcing emotes onto a person that could give the person a advantage or disadvantage that they do not want.

He was born at Vivec. His grandparents were killed by the Mori'Quessir as his parents ran away to Malin's Gorge. He was born in 1461. He went to Kal'Akash when he was 58. He was 61 when the unknown entities attacked. He would have died if not for his Dwarven friend Lobak Darkbraid. Lobak and Dalavan traveled to Gundz'koth when the Iron Uzg was defeated by the Princedom of Fenn with the help of Dunamis support at the Fenn capitol. They met a new orc friend Sahg'Orim who supplied them with food and water before the headed out again. That night Lobak told the group about his old friends that joined the Dwarven military and they were stationed at a fort a little ways away.
So then the trio of friends went to the Dwarven fort Rhewengrad because Lobak wanted to meet up with some friends of his. They let them stay for the week, but their stay was cut short when the Orenian Empire attacked and destroyed the fort. Unfortunately, both Lobak and Sahg'Orim died protecting Dalavan since he had never used a weapon. He escaped with only a few scrapes and bruises on his arms and legs. Dalavan didn't know where to go from there so he decided to head back home to Vivev, where he met his parents. He recovered quite quickly with the help of a loving family and some great food!! After mourning the loss of his two companions, Dalavan started training to fight with a sword every day so that if something, like the attack on Rhewengrad, ever happened again he could defend himself. After a few years of training Dalavan set off to find more exciting adventures of his own.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) He is a pacifist unless heavily provoked. He is an animal lover and does not kill any animals. He does not enjoy war/fighting.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) He aspires to be the best blacksmith he can.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He is a good blacksmith and is pretty good with a bow. His skill with a sword is unparalleled.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He is a bad thief and bad at sneaking. He is clumsy and laughs at terrible jokes.
Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) He has grey skin. He is roughly 6'2. He has white hair. He also has a scar on his left shoulder but does not like to show it.
