Tasius stood on the edge of Topal Island. The Boats had arrived at Soulrest a few hours ago, and he had recieved the message by bird.

Senchal had been attacked by Torval. 600 soldiers were dead. The mages were dead. Ko’Khatherra was dead.

Tasius walked out onto the ocean. On auto-pilot, he cast water-walking on himself. He walked for over a mile into the ocean. He looked around, dead-eyed. Nothing but sea for over a mile. Turning to face the sunset in the distance, he screamed. He screamed out his anguish, he screamed out his pain, he nearly screamed out his very soul.

When he finally went silent, there was only one thing left. The one thing he wouldn’t LET himself scream out.

    Anger.

Anger at Torval. Anger at the world. Anger at himself.

    Anger at Mane Ri’Ha Jarkaron.

He began walking back towards Topal Island. Half-way back, his magic gave out. He fell into the ocean, and just floated, his anger boiling inside him. After just floating for several minutes, he swam back to the island, set sail to Soulrest.

    ------------------------------------------------

The storm outside raged. It started only a few minutes ago, but the thunder shook the floor with each crash. The door crashed open, Tasius standing in the doorway, just as thunder shook the building and lightning arced across the sky. Ra’Bhidar, Bolonar, Sonya, and Milhye stared in shock at Tasius.

    Ra’Bhidar recovered first. “Tasius…”

Tasius raised a hand, silencing him. “We are going to wipe Torval from history.”

The four threw nervous glances at one another. Sonya spoke first. “Tasius, I know you’re hurting but-”

The looks could kill, then Sonya would’ve been erased from history, from the look Tasius gave her. She silently sat down, and studied him. Tasius stepped into the room, dripping water all over the floor.

“Torval took our home. They killed our people. There is a reckoning coming, so be it. Torval shall suffer.”

The four pirates looked at one another, before silently nodding. Tasius nodded as well, and swept back out into the storm, business to attend to.

    ------------------------------------------------

The novices were huddled in the home the adepts had been granted during their stay. The novices were frightened, shaken from the battle practically outside their door. Tasius came into the home, as if he owned it. The novices and adepts quickly arranged themselves when he called. He looked at the novices. “You were at the battle. What did you see?”

The novices tried to recall everything they could, and told Tasius all they knew. Tasius sat, listening to every detail, interrupting rarely. When the novices finished, Tasius stood, and nodded. “Thank you. Now, I have a question for you. Did you feel powerless, watching your fellow mage, your fellow man, get cut down, when you could do nothing?”

The novices, silent for a moment, each nodded. “Good. Then another question for you. Do you want power? The power to protect, the power to take. The power for revenge?”

The novices took far less time answering this question. They agreed, ready to do anything for that power.

Tasius nodded, and pointed out the window at the rain pouring down. “That is the world, that is Nirn, crying about Torval’s betrayal.” Lightning arced across the sky, thunder crashing. “And that… that is it’s anger. It’s fury. That is the power we will channel to take back our homes. To drive Torval from where they aren’t wanted. The power to drive deeper into their territory, and show them what it’s like to lose their homes, their lives. That power is what we strive for. We will strive to replicate this same storm. We will strive to replicate Nirn’s anguish, and it’s fury. We will strive to make both ours, and to use it to show Torval the mistakes they made.”

The mages cheer. Following Tasius, he leads them into the storm. Tasius showed them their goal. He showed them the power to rival the storm. He showed them the strength to both reclaim Senchal, and punish Torval.

That night, those novices, and those adepts, saw the depths of the power they could wield. They saw their futures, and the power they would hold. They saw the ferocity of Nirn, of Tasius, of themselves. With a new-found fire in their soul, they prepared for the long journey towards claiming that power.

    --------------------------------------------------

Later that week, a service was held for Ko’Khatherra, and those others lost at Senchal. Her body was kept preserved by magic, and would not be buried until Senchal was reclaimed, so she could be buried in her beloved forest, near the Magic Academy.

Many people spoke at the service. Tasius did not. Afterwards, the crowd broke apart, for others to personally grieve. Tasius stood before the memorial, and stared at Ko’Khatherra’s name, etched near the top. After several minutes, he left, never having said a word to anyone.

Tasius stood just off the shore of the island, the sea rising and falling below his feet. The Volcano was spewing a steady cloud of ash and smoke. The Topal base was mostly wooden, and if the volcano erupted now, the entire thing would be gone in a heartbeat.

    8622264e1d7ba2472cc979cfaee833ef.jpg

The workers were walking around, setting up another hut to act as temporary housing for the base. Tasius imagined the volcano erupting right now. The lava and ash pouring down. The workers, with not enough ships to flee, caught in the flow. Burned away.

Tasius shook his head, and sighed. Studying the Volcano, he admired the height. The volcano, dangerous and intimidating, would not stop it’s eruption for anything. Tasius sighed, and walked from the ocean, back to the base. Heading into the main structure, he sat at his temporary desk, and closed his eyes.

If the volcano was gonna erupt no matter what, Topal Island was likely a lost cause. Workers had been deployed across the island, and some even below the waves, searching for possible signs as to what kind of eruption the volcano would undergo…

If the eruption was calm, or at least as calm as an eruption could be, with the lava simply flowing over the edge, then perhaps the flow could be redirected. If not… well, Tasius had no desire to imagine the destruction it could cause.

Opening an eye, Tasius poured himself a large glass of Jahb’Dan. Throwing back most of the glass in the first gulp, opens both eyes, and begins to write a letter.

    “Dras’kay Ko’Khatherra.

I write on the subject of the Topal Island. As you know, there is a Volcano on the island. It is likely to erupt within the next few years. If the eruption is to be violent, then Soulrest may be in danger. If that is the case, I would like some of the better mages from the Academy to make their way to Soulrest, to protect it, should the eruption potentially cause damage to Soulrest.

    Wo zegata nezalna, Ri’Tasius”

Rereading the letter, Tasius nods, and rolls it up. Heading back outside, he heads towards the ship bound for Senchal. Finding the captain, he hands it to him, and commands him to deliver the letter to Ko’Khatherra upon arriving at the island.

Tasius studies the book closely. The leather, possibly Argonian skin - a morbid thought - is of a worn, brown color, likely from age. The pages worn, holes in places. The book looks ready to fall apart.

Tasius looks up at Skalei. “You’re certain this is Xanmeer?” Skalei shrugs. “Could be Xanmeer. Could be something else. I don’t know. These ruins are old, and have been searched more than a couple times. For all we know, this could be the ramblings of a madman, in some made up language. Until we study it, we can’t know.”

Tasius sighs, and points to the book. “You’re a scholar, yes? Well, I want to hire you to translate this book then. Use whatever resources you need, but keep this quiet as much as possible.”

Skalei gives a toothy grin. “I was hoping you’d ask me. I’ll reach out to a few friends, and see if they can help any.”

Tasius nods. “There is a khajiit mage in Senchal. Name of Kho’Khatherra. She studied the stars all her life. She might have some insight into this book as well. I’ll set you up contact. Set up in Senchal. Soulrest might be closer, but frankly, I’m not sure Senchal is totally cooperative yet, and I want to be sure you can study with as little disturbance as possible.”

Skalei nods, gingerly picking the book up, and sliding it in a padded carrying case. “Noted. What’ll you do with the information we find, anyways?”

Tasius shrugs. “Depends on what we find, I suppose. Ask me again when we know.”

Skalei nods, and leaves the tent Tasius had been using as a personal study the past few weeks.

Tasius studies the map of Topal Island, and his eyes fall on the Volcano. “That’s one hell of a danger, if it’s still active… Better send someone to check on it.”

Tasius stands at the entrance to the Argonian ruins. Besides him stood Skalei Caleeseene, explorer and scholar hired to advise.

“And you’re positive that we can freely explore these ruins, without any repercussions from the Argonians in Soulrest?”

Skalei nodded. “Xanmeer ruins are older than most historical records, and tend to have plenty of goodies. This one has likely been explored before, but it could still have plenty of secrets to unlock.”

Tasius nodded, and turned to check the workers progress. The entire island was cleared, and if not for the volcano, and the Xanmeer ruins (oddly left out of Daro’Mla’s previous report) it would likely be quite flat.

Tasius turned back to Skalei. “You have my permission to begin an expedition into the Xanmeer Ruins. Work with Governor Okalz to get what you need. Make sure this expedition returns some positive results, and you’ll be handsomely rewarded.

Skalei grinned eagerly, and nodded. “With pleasure, Ri’Tasius.” With that, she ran off, before Tasius could correct her. Tasius sighed, and turned back to the ruins. “Even the Argonians are calling me that now…”

Tasius demanded that he be there when Daro’Mla and the new guards made the arrest of the rebellion. It was small, but it still showed a level of unrest within the city.

Daro’Mla, and several of the guards descend into the catacombs, along with Tasius. It’s dark inside, and Tasius grants himself night vision. Three of the guards are Khajiit, though the rest are Argonian. They squint into the darkness, hoping to make out something in the darkness.

With a cry, one of the rebels leaps from the shadows at an Argonian guard. Tasius blasts him with a burst of cold, and he freezes in place. One of the Argonian guard drags him outside, and the others continue onwards.

After several minutes of nothing, they finally stumble on a door with light underneath. Tasius clears himself of Night Vision, and Daro’Mla opens the door. The Argonians guard rush in, and the sounds of combat quickly fill the void of silence in the catacombs. The Khajiit rush in, with Daro’Mla at the front. Tasius enters last, and helps where he can, letting the guards do most of the work. After several minutes, the fighting is over, and most of the rebels lie dead, or unconscious.

The unconscious rebels are dragged out one by one. When they awake, they're all tied up on the ground outside. Tasius steps forwards, and places his hand on the head of the first rebel. “Which of your is in charge?”

The rebel spits at him, and Tasius responds with a burst of magic, and the rebel slumps forwards. After three more attempts, one of them spills it. “That one, at the end. The Argonian with the scale-rash around his eyes!”

Tasius steps away from the rebel, and over to the leader. “So you’re in charge, huh?”

The Argonian stays silent, glaring at the one who talked.

Tasius shrugs. “That’s fine. We can do it that way too.” With a pair of magic bursts, the Argonian slumps forward, and then looks up to Tasius. “What do you want to know?”

Tasius nods. “Is this the only rebel cell in the city?”

The Argonian nods. “Yes, to my knowledge.”

Tasius thinks for a moment. “And why did you decide to rebel?”

The Argonian’s eyes mist for a moment. “During the attack, your men killed a specific guard. He was my husband.”

Tasius thought, and nodded solemnly. “I’m sorry to hear that. You have my condolences.” He nods to the guard, who pulls the Argonian to his feet. “Listen. My men, despite what happened, have no desire to harm anyone else in this city. We want the transition to go as painlessly as possible for everyone.”

    The Argonian nods. “That’s… nice.”

Tasius nods. “You’ll find that it’s not as hard as you’d expect for a pirate to be wrong.” Tasius turns to the guard. “Send them to the mine. Though they are prisoners, they should not be mistreated. They’re people first, prisoners second.”

The guards nod, and begin dragging the prisoners away. Tasius nods to the rebels who fell to the ground, who are starting to stir. “Take them as well.” The guards looked shocked. “Sir… didn’t you kill them?”

Tasius shakes his head. “Just a fear tactic. I merely put them to sleep. They’ll wake up fully in a few minutes. Better they be with the others when they wake up.”

The guards chuckle, and drag the prisoners off.

Daro’Mla approaches from behind. “If that’s all, Ri’Tasius.”

Tasius sighs. “Drop the Ri, Daro’Mla.”

Daro’Mla recoils slightly in suprise, then nods. “Yes, R- Tasius, sir.”

Tasius sighs. “How goes the rest of the town? Are they accepting the new guard force with relative approval?”

Daro’Mla nods. “They are, sir. Behind a few minor occurrences, all in all it seems we’re being accepted as the new law force.”

Tasius nods. “Good. Keep me updated if anything big comes up. Oh, and make sure the Hist Sanctuary has guards. Argonian, preferably. I don’t want anyone else getting bright ideas.”

Daro’Mla nods, and makes her way back to Guard Headquarters to set up the Hist Guard.

Tasius stretches, and makes his way down to the docks. The raid happened late at night, so Secunda and Masser are both clear in the sky. Looking out at the Topal Island, a thought goes through Tasius’s head. He makes his way to Okalz home, and fell asleep on the couch. When he awoke, the Argonian was sitting across the table, drinking some tea. A small, green bottle sat partially hidden behind a cushion.

Tasius sat up and gave the Argonian a look. “Skooma addiction, Okalz?”

Okalz gives a little start, and glances at the bottle. “Uh… only a little, sir.”

Tasius shakes his head, and glares at the Argonian. “How many a day?”

Okalz glances down at his tea. “A bottle, on bad days. Half on good ones.”

Tasius sighs. “If it affects your work, then you can kiss the title of Governor good-bye.”

Okalz nods vigorously. “Understood sir. Did you, erm, need something?”

Tasius snaps his fingers sharply, causing Okalz to start again, spilling some of his tea. “Yes! That’s why I’m here, Okalz. I want to make sure Topal Island can’t be used against Soulrest, like it was before.”

Okalz looks confused. “And you want… what done about it?”

Tasius glances out the window, and sees the sun already nearing it’s peak. “I want Topal Island made into a proper base. A true naval stronghold for the ships. Make it happen Okalz. You can go ahead and pass that down to someone capable, if you like. Just make it happen.”

With that Tasius hurries from the room, and Okalz looks a little lost. “O...kay. Will do.”

    595fad9c69b21_Aether-WaveFlag.png.15acc73e1b038572cae32b991e3e6821.png

Tasius stood at the front of the Omen-Hawk, waiting for the okay from Milhye, Ra’Bhidar, and the men captiaining the warships to launch. The sun was already half below the horizon. Soon  the fleets were sailing, with the sun setting at their back. The men were on edge, waiting for the Topal Island, and the Soulrest ships to be in sight. Before long, both were, and the men were scrambling for last minute checks.

The battle begun just as the sky turned it’s darkest. The Khajiit sailors and Soldiers could see fine, thanks to their natural night vision, and the mages without it granted themselves night vision as well.

Tasius signaled each mage, and each prepared the strongest spell they could.

The attack begun. Lightning leapt from Tasius’s fingers, and quickly shot over the ocean, striking one of the Soulrest ships. Similar bolts shot from another mage, while fire and ice shot from the other two. Before long, the mages were bombarding the ships, while the Soulrest ships charged, hoping to reach the ships before being totally destroyed.

Drawing them further into the bay, the ships failed to notice the two pirate ships closing in from behind, having split away earlier, and keeping a close eye out for the bolts.

While the mages focused on the other ships, the two pirate ships came behind the furthest back warships, and boarded it. The sudden attack from the two ships easily overcame the warship’s crew, and the pirates claimed the ship for themselves.

With every ship now sunk or captured, Tasius and the fleet made its way to Soulrest, to dock…

    -------------------------------------------------------------

Sonya was sitting in camp, cleaning her boots when the Dagi padded up to her. Sonya looked up. “Is it time?” The Dagi nodded, and she pulled her boots on, silently gesturing to the others in the camp. The group quietly got around, some being awoken, others pulling themselves up from the fire. The alcohol had been finished a few days prior, the timing probably part of Tasius’s plan.

Before long, the entire camp was ready, and had moved to the edge of the island. Searching the coastline for the Soulrest ships, the pirate pushed their small rafts and boats into the water, and began the process of reaching Soulrest’s shores.

After an hour or so of the slow sailing, they set upon the beach, and Sonya gestured to one of the bigger Khajiit, signaling he was in charge of the assault group. He nodded, and lead most of the men off to find the gates. Sonya, meanwhile, had a mage lead the group to the catacombs.

Once inside, it took almost an hour to reach the exit nearest the Count’s house.

The group gathered outside the entrance, listening to the sounds of the battle raging at the gates. Sounds had also come from the docks; apparently Tasius and the ships had landed, and were causing their own chaos.

The soldiers made their way inside the house, and took out the few guards still inside, before finally coming across the Count. The mages silence him before he can call for help, and Sonya approaches.

“Count Fiv’Dellir. I’m here to offer you an alternative. Either tell your men to stand down, or my men and I break you into pieces, and this battle rages on until we come out on top.”

Count Fiv’Dellir sits for several seconds quietly. “Very well. I don’t really have a choice now, do I?”

The Count is escorted by the group, until a group of his own soldiers is found. He then tells each of them to make their way to each battle, and to tell the Soulrest soldiers to stand down.

    -------------------------------------------------------

After another hour, the battles have died down in the city, and Tasius and Count Fiv’Dellir meet in the Count’s house for negotiations.

Tasius nods to the Count, when he enters the room. “Count Fiv’Dellir. This was a meeting that we should’ve made far sooner.”

Count Fiv’Dellir scowls. “Well, what is it then? What do you plan to do with me, and my people? With Soulrest?”

Tasius sits down across from Count Fiv’Dellir, and nods. “Straight to the point. Fine. Soulrest and all of its territories will now be under Aether-Wave control, which means I’m in charge.”

Count Fiv’Dellir sighs. “Taking what you want by force. I’m not surprised. That’s all you pirates seem to do.”

Tasius shakes his head. “This could have been avoided, had you met with our representative when he was first sent. You could have kept your land, and we could have peacefully let thing continue as they were.”

Count Fiv’Dellir snorts. “As if. You pirates only know how to take. I guarantee it. I’ll sit here, and watch the city I worked so hard to build fall apart around me, as you continue to take from it.”

Tasius sighs. “And I’ll happily prove you wrong, Count. Or, Ex-Count, as it were. I hereby strip you of your titles, and your possessions. You will be a prisoner of war for the rest of your life, with your previous home acting as your prison. You will spend the rest of your days here, under watch. Your servants will be replaced by those loyal to me. Do you understand?”

Fiv’Dellir nods slowly. “Yes. And no. I understand what you’re saying, but I do not know why.”

Tasius stands, and moves to the door. “Between you and me, I am not cruel. The people of Senchal like me, even though I was, and still am, a pirate. I try to be reasonable. Your people like you. If you’re treated well, your people will be calm. If you’re treated poorly, your people will retaliate. By keeping your safe and happy, your people will be safe and happy.”

Tasius leaves the room, and Fiv’Dellir leaves shortly after. The two make the announcement to the people of Soulrest together.

  8. Aether-Wave Pirates

    Battle Plans

Tasius, on the Omen-Hawk, would lead the Scorched Eel, Broken Wolf, and three of the Warships across the Topal Bay, near sunset. Depending on the reaction to the Soulrest ships, the plan would change. There would be an Expert Mage and 50 soldiers on each Warship. The Scorched Eel and the Broken Wolf would be ordered to attempt to take the enemy ships, without destroying them. The three pirate ships would have 50 soldiers as well.

IF: Most of the Soulrest ships began to give chase and pursue the Senchal ships, then Tasius would lead all of the ship's further into the Topal Bay, away from the Coasts.

IF: The ships didn’t pursue, then he would begin launching a mass attack, making it seem as though he was trying to punch a hole to the coast through the Soulrest Ships.

Regardless of which occurred, the soldiers and mages on the Topal Island would take rowboats to the shore of Soulrest, as soon as the Soulrest ships were gone/distracted, and 350 soldiers would begin attacking the city, with the help of two adepts. As soon as this begins, a signal would occur, in the form of the biggest, flashiest spell possible from the Adepts.

Meanwhile, the remaining 2 adepts and fifty soldiers would enter the catacombs from wherever they could, and begin making their way across the catacombs, using the Clairvoyance spell to make their way to the Count’s home (or as close as possible with the catacombs. Once there, the Soldiers and mages would make their way to the count, and take him hostage. Either he tells his forces to surrender, or he perishes.

If he choose to surrender, then he will be left alive, under guard from the soldiers, while the Senchal Ships land, and collect with the soldiers already in Soulrest.

If he refuses, he perishes, and the 50 soldiers and 2 adept rejoin the others already attacking Soulrest, either helping them through the gate, or simply rejoining them if they are already in the city. From that point the soldiers and adepts should continue the attack until they are either forced to retreat (100 or less men) or victory is obtained.

Meanwhile, if Tasius and the fleet have proven victorious with the naval battle, they should dock at Soulrest at the earliest chance (unless the attack on the city has yet to begin), and begin assaulting the city as well.

  9. Aether-Wave Pirates

    595fad9c69b21_Aether-WaveFlag.png.15acc73e1b038572cae32b991e3e6821.png

Tasius stood on the coast, studying the waves. Across the Topal Bay lay the island Daro’Mla had written about. Beyond that, the coast of Soulrest. Count Fiv’Dellir had made his stance very clear, and Senchal would not stand for it. If that was how it was going to be, Soulrest would fall to it’s knees, and beg for mercy.

Turning his back on the waves, Tasius made his way back to Senchal, passing through the forest, the branches above him occasionally shaking. Exiting the forest, he saw Sonya Frostheart, captain of the Broken Wolf. She was managing the efforts to establish a base on the island west of Soulrest, and would probably lead the attack too.

Tasius approached, calling her from behind. “Sonya. How goes the efforts?”

Sonya shouts out on last order to the workers loading supplies, and turns to face Tasius. “It’s going, Tasius. It’s going. The workers are slow, but I’ve dealt with slower, so I’m only complaining a little. The soldiers are dragging there feet too, but we’ll be ready. Those bastards in Soulrest won’t know what hit them. ‘Filthy Pirates’.” Sonya spits on the road. “If that damned Count had actually met with us, he’d find us quite reasonable, I bet.”

Tasius nodded. “It’s not like we had planned to take his county from him.” Tasius thinks for a moment. “Well, before the ‘Filthy Pirate’ thing, anyways.”

Sonya gives a hearty laugh only a Nord can give, and turns back to the workers. “I’ll be getting back to work, Tasius. Stop by the bar later. Bolonar and Ra’Bhidar are setting up a party for those leaving, and there paying.”

Tasius laughs. “Those two will be broke by nights end. See you later, Sonya.”

    ------------------------------------------------

Later, the bars are all bustling with the soldiers leaving for the island. Nearly every bar in town is full, and Tasius only manages to make it into one because of who is. Bolonar, Ra’Bhidar, Milhye, and Sonya are sitting at one of the larger tables, along with a few of the other members of the Aether-Wave crew.

Tasius weaves his way through the bar, and joins them. “So, seems the drinking started a while ago, hm?”

The table lets out a cheer when he sits down, and the drinking starts in earnest. Within a few hours, the entire table is flat-out drunk, and the bartender has them leave. Most make their way to their inns, but Tasius, Ra’Bhidar, and Sonya stumble around town a while longer.

“This was good, Tasius. Sonya’ll be gone for the next coupla months, and you needed to get drunk. You’ve been too focused on Soulrest, recently.”

Tasius laughs. “Yeah, I s’pose I have. I can’t help it. You know what challenges do to me.”

Sonya laughs. “Right, right, remember that time Tasius dove into the sea to wrestle a horker, just off the coast of Dawnstar? Nearly froze to death. Coulda been born a Nord, this one.”

Tasius grins. “But I won, didn’t I? That tusk made a great wine horn.”

The three of them stumble along, laughing the night away. The next day, they all woke with headaches that could’ve split a giant’s skull.

    Actions

(2 AP) During the night, four of the new Warships travel across the Topal Bay, and land upon the island west of Soulrest’s coast. They are to push deep into the jungle on the island, and establish a camp, hidden within it. The Warships are to leave the island as soon as all soldiers and supplies have been unloaded, and return to Senchal.

400 Soldiers and 4 adepts, as well as the sailors manning the ships, are to be sent on the warships to establish the camp. Only the sailors are to return. They are to be informed of the plan (which will be in my next post, assuming nothing goes wrong) so they may perform their part.

The soldiers will need to avoid detection as much as possible until the plan begins. Lookouts should be established across the island, to keep an eye out for dangers to the plan, and other things.

(2 AP) Word is being sent to the agents in Soulrest to begin undermining guard efforts. Lower quality armor, and weapons, sabotage, poison, whatever was required, without giving themselves away. They are informed of this via encoded letter, from Cousin J’Nji.

  10. Aether-Wave Pirates

    595fad9c69b21_Aether-WaveFlag.png.15acc73e1b038572cae32b991e3e6821.png

Tasius reads through the letter for a third time, making sure he absorbs ever scrap of information he can. With what he has, he just might be able to set up an actual attack plan.

He left his home, making his way to the Omen Hawk, where Ra’Bhidar and Bolonar were already waiting for him.

Entering the cabin of the ship, Bolonar and Ra’Bhidar look up from the map of Topal Bay set before them.

“I’m telling you furball, if we launch an assault from here, then we’ll just get caught in a choke point here.”

“And this one is telling you, green-skin, that if we have people lying in wait here, that we won’t have to worry about attacks in this region.”

“No, no, no. You’re clearly forgetting to think three dimensionally, fish-brain. If they climb these walls here, then they’ll be right on top of us.”

“And you forget to think at all, booze-breath. If they climb here, they’ll be perfectly set up to get shot from here.”

Tasius clears his throat. “There, uh, seems to be some hostility in the air today. You two okay?”

The two look up at Tasius in confusion. Bolonar speaks first. “Yeah, everything’s fine.” Ra’Bhidar explains. “These two are simply discussing battle plans.”

Tasius nods. “Right… Well, let’s keep it to friendly name calling. No need for us to start throwing punches.”

Tasius steps forwards, and spreads the letter open for both to see. “We heard from the agents again. Take a look at this.”

Bolonar and Ra’Bhidar lean in, and read through the letter quickly. Bolonar let’s out a low whistle. “Damn. That girl certainly is good at getting information.”

Ra’Bhidar grins. “It’s all in the tail. This one has never had someone resist the tail.” Ra’Bhidar’s tail flicks, as if to emphasize.

Tasius and Bolonar glance at one another, then burst out laughing. After a moment, Ra’Bhidar joins them.

Once they’ve all calmed down, Tasius pushes the letter to the side. “Right. Back to work. So, this island Daro’Mla found. I want to set something up here. Something special.”

Bolonar and Ra’Bhidar look at eachother in confusion. “Something special?”

Tasius grins. “Right. I want to set up a camp here. Not just yet, but by the end of the year. In the meantime, we’re going to put everything into preparing.”

  11. Aether-Wave Pirates

    595fad9c69b21_Aether-WaveFlag.png.15acc73e1b038572cae32b991e3e6821.png

Tasius sits on his veranda, drinking his… something. He can’t remember what Ra’Bhidar called it, but he liked it.

A Senche messenger races past the veranda, and slides to a stop, before pacing over to the edge of the veranda. Reaching into a pack slung across his side, he pulls out a letter, and gives it to Tasius. Tasius drops some gold into the Senche’s coin pouch, and takes the letter. The Senche then runs off, with more messages to deliver.

Unfurling the letter, Tasius grins as he realized it’s from his agents at Soul Rest.

    Dear Cousin J’Nji,

We have arrived in Soul Rest safely. Thankfully those pirates didn’t bother our ship. When you next send a letter, make sure to include a list of gifts you’d like. I’ll do my best to deliver. Soul Rest is surprisingly quiet, despite the number of people here. Even with it’s proximity to the ocean, the sound of the waves is so far off. It’s incredible, cousin. Well, I need to go; I’ll check for messages every day, so write whenever you need.

    With Love, Daro’Mla

Tasius rolled up the letter, and slipped it into his pocket, downed the last of his drink. As he set his glass down, he remembered the name; Jahb’dan.

He sent a messenger after Bolonar, and made his way to the Omen Hawk, where Ra’Bhidar should be.

Stepping up on the deck, he saw Ra’Bhidar ordering people about as they checked the ship.

Tasious called out to him, and pointed to the Captain’s Quarters. They both made their way inside, and waited for Bolonar. After a few more minutes the orc showed up too. “Tasius, this better be important; I was just about to win free drinks for a week.”

Tasius holds up the letter from the agent. “I’ve just received this from our agents in Soulrest. They’ve arrived safely and are ready to start when we are.”

Bolonar and Ra’Bhidar grin, and Ra’Bhidar speaks. “So, what’s next then, oh great Pirate-King?”

Tasius grins, and the three get to work laying out proper plans.

    ---------------------------------

After several hours of work, Tasius, Ra'Bhidar, and Bolonar stand over their plans, and a new, encoded letter.

    Dear Daro'Mla

I'm so glad you made it safely. I would love it if you could find out about Soulrest for me. Tourist locations, history, as much as you can. I want to know everything you can tell me. Also, dad keeps asking me to tell you to send something alcoholic. He's always wanted to try some Argonian alcohol. They say it has almost as much kick as skooma. No way that's true, right?

Anyways, as for me, I don't really know enough about Soulrest to say what you could send for a souvenir. I guess just keep an eye out for anything interesting. Anyways, don't forget to learn about Soulrest's popular locations, and history for me.

    - Love J'Nji

Studying the letter, the three nod to each other, and send for a messenger to have the letter sent to Soulrest.

  12. Aether-Wave Pirates

    595fad9c69b21_Aether-WaveFlag.png.15acc73e1b038572cae32b991e3e6821.png

Tasius lay quietly beneath the night sky. The stars were bright, and offered plenty of light to see by, even if both Secunda and Masser were in their waning phases.

Ko’Khatherra sat beside him, studying the two moons with large eyes. “The moon is bright tonight, is it not, Ri’Tasius?”

Tasius sighs. “Must everyone call me that? I’m a damned pirate, not a king.”

Ko’Khatherra lets out a low purr of laughter. “Pirate you may be raised as, but king you’ve been for far longer.”

Tasius sighs, and sits up. “What do you need, Ko’Khatherra? You rarely call on me for social visits anymore.”

Ko’Khatherra stretches. “This one has been studying the stars for some years, Ri’Tasius. You know this.”

Tasius waves his hand in dismissal. “Yeah, yeah. Most of your life, since you were a kit. This is new how?”

Ko’Khatherra pulls her eyes from the sky, to look at Tasius. “As this one has said, you have been king for nineteen years now, Ri’Tasius. In that time, you have learned at least some of Khajiiti culture, have you not?”

Tasius nods slowly. “I have. Is there something of cultural importance that I should know about?”

Ko’Khatherra nods, studying the stars once more. “Indeed, Ri’Tasius. You know of the Mane, yes? The one who leads the whole of Elsweyr, when united? The conditions for its birth as well?”

Tasius nods in confusion. “Of course I know about the Mane. The alignment of the three moons, right? There’s supposed to only be one at a time, correct?”

Ko’Khatherra shuts her eyes, and breathes deeply. “In the times before the World Shatter, that would not be wrong. Now, the flow of everything is wavering, changing. The mane is supposed to be Khajiit as well.” Ko’Khatherra opens her eyes, and looks to Tasius once more. “Except here before me stands a man of Imperial blood, leading Senchal. A man born the same day as our Mane should be born.”

Tasius recoils from Ko’Khatherra. “Are you trying to say I’m the Mane? You just said it yourself, only Khajiit can be Mane.”

Ko’Khatherra leans in. “In the times before the World Shatter, that is perfectly true, Ri’Tasius, but with the flow of the world out of control, this one believes anything be possible. Simply consider it, Ri’Tasius.” Ko’Khatherra stands, and pads back into the Tenmar forest, without another word.

Tasius sits, and studies his hands for several minutes. His imagination runs wild, and furs rolls over his skin, claws sprouting from his fingers. He blinks, and the image is gone. He shakes his head, and stands, ready to sleep.

(2 AP) Using the corundum and iron collected from the mines, the army is to be upgraded to steel weapons and armor.

(2 AP) A magic academy is built on the edge of Senchal, to gives the mages the capacity to study and train in peace. Ko’Khatherra and Tasius both oversee the operations of the Academy, though neither live at the Academy. The Academy should come with dorms for the mages, as expansive a library as can be gathered, and a training area. Future projects would add additional structures to the Academy.

  13. Aether-Wave Pirates

    6MxpOki.png

Tasius stood aboard the pier, furious. The Scorched Eel had sent a messenger hawk ahead, with news of Soul Rest's attempted betrayal.

The Scorched Eel arrived late in the day, as the sun was setting. The ship looked relatively fine, though required some minor repairs from the attack at Soul Rest's port.

The gangplank was set in place, and the crew made it's way onto land, tired and sore. They headed into town to get drinks. The captain of the Scorched Eel, and the diplomat sent to Soul's Rest left the ship last, and some of the dock workers got to work fixing the damage.

"So, Captain Milyhe. What happened, exactly?"

Captain Milyhe clears his throat. "Well serjo, it uh... it happened like this. Me and muh boys were escorting Dro'Ato, like we was supposed ta'. Well, we was bein' escorted ourselves too, by them guards o' Soul Rest."

Well, when we reached ta center of town, the guards drew their weapons, and started attackin' us. Now, my boys an' I are right quick on the draw, an' we had out weapons out faster than the guards were 'specting. Well, we took the advantage an' pushed our way on outta there, like a greased eel. We got back to ma beaut, right quick, and we sailed on outta there."

One of muh boys says he heard 'em talkin' 'bout 'Dirty Pirates' or some such nonsense."

Tasius turns to Dro'Ato, the diplomat. "Well Dro'Ato. Does that about sum it up?"

Dro'Ato nods. "This one couldn't follow all of this Va'Aneqasa's ramblings, but what this one could put together, the story is true enough."

Tasius thinks for a moment, then sighs. "Thank you, Milyhe, Dro'Ato. Please, head into town and rest. You've earned it."

Milyhe gives a sloppy salute, and Dro'Ato bows his withered heard, before each head into town.

Tasius stays on the docks for most of the night, watching the waves, and the moon slowly drift across the sky until the sun is peeking over the horizon.

"Filthy Pirates, huh? Well, maybe I'll just have to show you how 'Filthy' we can really be..."

Tasius stretches, and then makes his way to visit his 'General', Bolonar Durash.

    ---------------------------------

Tasius knocks loudly on the door. After several minutes of quiet cursing, and a couple alarming crashes, the door bursts open.

"Who is this ea- Oh. Tasius. C'mon in. Pardon the mess. Workin' off a hangover after a night with Ra'Bhidar and Milyhe."

Tasius steps into the small house behind Bolonar. Most of the floor is covered in spilled ale and broken glass. Bolonar lifts an old shelf off the floor, and set's it up-right. The small wooden table in the middle of the room only has a couple stools for it, so Tasius takes a seat on the cleaner of the two. Bolonar sets about cleaning the ale and glass.

"So, Tasius, to what do I owe your visit this oh so early morning?"

"You heard about the Soul Rest incident, I assume?"

Bolonar grunts in amusement. "Heard about it? The amount of times Milyhe told it, I practically lived it. Oh, the boys are out for blood. Not just Milyhe's either. Ra'Bhidar, and Sonya's too. I even heard a few of my own calling too. Say what you will, but it seems our land and sea can meet over a tankard or three."

"Well, I've been thinking about how to strike back."

"Strike back? Listen here boy, we may be pirates, but we're no madmen. Sencahl here is little more than a calm patch surrounded by an ocean of insanity. We haven't the men to strike back."

"I know. That's why I want to play the long game. Rather than load our ships with as many men as we can, and send them in, most likely to die, I want to take the longer path. I want to destabilize Soul Rest, and build us up. When Soul Rest finally starts to collapses in on itself, then we come in, and sweep the rug out from under them."

Bolonar studies Tasius's face for a moment. Bolonar watched Tasius grow from the moment he had stepped aboard the Omen Hawk, and he saw none of the kid he had first laid eyes on back then. Tasius wasn't over come with rage. He was thinking, planning. He was prepared to do what it took to take Soul Rest down.

"Alright then. You're serious, and I can see that. Give me a few minutes to clean this mess up, and then we can sit down, and start with some real planning. Send a hawk to Ra'Bhidar in the meantime. He's your fleet's captain. He should be as much a part of this as I."

(2 AP) A group of twenty people is sent on the Broken Wolf to disembark near the Leyawiin/Gideon border (South-Eastern most section of Leyawiin) where they will begin walking to the town of Soul Rest. Once in Soul Rest, they will send a messenger hawk, with a simple encoded message, so Tasius is aware of their arrival.

(2 AP) The Moon Sugar markets are carefully monitored for excessive purchases, and rather than outlaw skooma entirely, government controlled skooma production begins. The produced skooma is closely monitored, and to purchase any skooma, a license must be purchased in advance. The amount of skooma sold to any person is also closely monitored, so as to avoid skooma addiction overrunning the town. To keep careful track of all of this, only one distribution center exists in all of Senchal. Both it, and the production facilities, are carefully monitored. Any employee caught stealing from the production facility is immediately fired, and their license is revoked. Any location producing and/or selling skooma is swiftly and harshly dealt with. Anyone caught producing/selling skooma is sent to the new Corundum mine as labor for 2 years per offense.

  14. Aether-Wave Pirates

    6MxpOki.png

Tasius walked the deck of his old ship. It had been nearly ten years since he stepped down as captain of the Omen Hawk, the Aether-Wave's lead ship. Though the other two ships of the pirate fleet had their own captains, all three ships heeded the words of the Omen Hawk's captain.

The ship was old, possibly even from before the World Shatter. The other two ships, the Broken Wolf, and the Scorched Eel, were both crafted after the World Shatter, but neither was so magnificent as the Omen Hawk, and so it was the lead of the fleet.

Captain Ra'Bhidar approaches Tasius from behind. "Still a beautiful vessel, isn't she? Ra'Bhidar does well keeping her pristine."

"Aye, she's still as much a beauty as when I handed her to you, Captain."

"None of that Captain nonsense with I, Ri'Tasius. We grew up on these ships together. Ra'Bhidar is fine."

I could say the same to you, Ra'Bhidar. None of that Ri' stuff. I'm no Khajiit, so such a title doesn't suit me."

"Nonsense. You're the pirate king of Senchal. Ask any who roam it's streets, and they'll answer the same. You may be pirate, but that hasn't stopped you from protecting the order of this town, and all appreciate it."

Tasius sighs. "If the people view me as king, then I don't really have a choice in the matter do I? Tasius Titanox, Pirate King of Senchal. I suppose it does have a nice ring, doesn't it?"

Ra'Bhidar let's out a laugh, that closely resembles a purr. "Tasius Titanox, Dar'Ri of Senchal. A nice ring indeed."

The two of them have a laugh together, chatting away the day. Within a few hours, the night sky has descended, and the stars shine beautifully. Turning to face Senchal, the sandstone homes by firelight were beautiful. "This is our kingdom, Ra'Bhidar."

"Indeed it is, Ri'Tasius. This one believes that this is a good kingdom to rule. Treat it well, and it will treat you well in return."

Tasius spends some time studying the city's skyline with Ra'Bhidar, before taking his leave around midnight. Ra'Bhidar walks with him, chatting with his old friend.

    --------------------------

In Senchal, the streets are silent. Such silence is eerie, in Senchal. The Khajiit's night vision means that the city is usually busy, even late at night. As Tasius and Ra'Bhidar walk down the quiet streets, cloaked figures step from the alleys before them. Checking behind them, two more figures have stepped from behind as well, cutting off an escape.

Boxed in, Tasius steps forwards, and Ra'Bhidar takes his back. Tasius speaks up. "I suppose you wouldn't just be a group of beggars, hoping for a spare coin, would you?"

Silently, the figures pull blades from beneath their cloaks. Tails lash behind the figures, identifying them as Khajiit. Tasius sighs, and Ra'Bhidar pulls his own blades. Ra'Bhidar's philosophy has always been simple; two is better than one.

As the two figures charge him, he reciprocates. The two figures grip their blades tightly in both hands, Ra'Bhidar's grip is looser, and he holds a single blade in each hand. As they swing, Ra'Bhidar leaps their blades, and lands softly beyond them. Twisting quickly, he cuts their legs out from beneath them, and the two figures collapse with a yowl of agony.

Looking up, Ra'Bhidar sees that Tasius has already encased one assailant totally in ice, and the other is writhing in agony, under an onslaught of lightning. The scent of burning fur and blood fills the air. After several more moments, the Khajiit stops twisting with each bolt, and blood leaks from it's eyes. Tasius stops blasting him with lightning.

"Just thugs. Probably thought a couple of people walking the streets alone at night would make easy targets for four swordsmen." Tasius walks past the Khajiit encased in ice, and walked on. Ra'Bhidar wiped his blade clean on the assailants cloaks, then rushes to catch up.

Short Backstory: The Kingdom of Sunstrasia used to be human. However, long ago, they upset a being of incredible power, called Anubis, who cursed them with a partial jackal shape. After years of wandering, being denied refuge, they were able to procure boats, and head off. Arriving in Akaria several generations before the humans would begin to arrive, they moved inland. Settling in the desert, where they would be difficult to find, the lore behind their twisted shapes become muddled, and they begin to worship the being. After many, many years of worship, they found themselves able to take both human, and jackal shape. Their curse, now a blessing, they began to praise Anubis even more fervently.

  16. Ellmer

As the gates opened, and Hyrd stepped through, with the rest of the expedition, the crowds that had gather around the gate were cheering, as each family member saw the face of a loved one still alive. As Vyzna and his family embraced Hyrd, he embraced them back. Vyzna held Hyrd at arms length, and stared into his son's face, his grin slowly draining as he saw the dismay on his face.

"Hyrd, son, what's wrong? You're back, as is everyone from the expedition. Did something go wrong? Did the Felicians refuse to even listen, or did they turn down any offers of alliance?"

Hyrd shook his head, and lead his father off a little. "Father, the Felicians didn't turn us away... There were no Felicians left. Their entire territory was ravaged. Their buildings destroyed... and the Felicians were strung up like decorations between the ruins. It's not something I'd like to see again."

Vyzna stared into his son's face, hoping this was some twisted humor. After a few moments, he closed his eyes, breathed deeply, and looked to the crowd. It was clear the news had begun to spread, and it would spread like wildfire. There would be no stopping it now. Vyzna cleared his throat.

"People! Listen please. Hear these words, not hushed, and behind closed doors, but from my mouth."

Vyzna would proceed to tell them the story, as his son had told it, and then would ask each soldier who had gone on the expedition to step forward if they had any additional details. By the end, most of the civilians looked like they might be ill. Vyzna cleared his throat once more, to get the chattering crowd before him to quiet down so he could speak.

"I do not know what has caused such destruction among the Felicians, but it needs to be known around the island. I plan to call upon the other natives of this island, to hold council. Such a threat must be made aware of. Our walls are firm, and our warriors strong. We are safe, in our cities, with the knowledge we do, but the others may not be."

The crowd murmurs, and nods. The threat may be great, but knowing it may come was a definite advantage. With his speech over, Vyzna and his family retired to his home.

"Hyrd, I know you have just returned home, but I want someone I trust on this journey. Will you do this for me son?"

Hyrd takes a deep breath, and nods, his eyes filled with determination. "I will, father. I will lead a group to the east, to inform the other natives."

Vyzna nods, pride for his son, glowing in his heart. He reaches behind his neck, and pulls the amulet of Auriel he has worn most of his life, over his head. He gently places the amulet in his son's hand, and grips it firmly.

"This amulet has been in our family for generations. It holds no special magic, but hopefully it will make you feel closer to our ancestors, and to Auriel himself."

Hyrd nods, and puts the amulet around his neck. "I'll wear it with pride, father."

    ACTIONS

    1. Hyrd, after a few days rest, and preparation, is sent on an expedition (30 Soldiers, armed with both bow and sword) to the east, to attempt to contact the other natives. They are told to not travel during the winter, unless necessary. With luck, either the Atmorans or the Uramer would be willing to put them up for the winter. (http://imgur.com/0AHZYf4)

    2. The guards on the walls would be doubled, so as to offer better protection.

    3. 15 Adepts would begin practicing their magic, so as to improve, while the other 15 Adepts trained the 20 Apprentices.

    4. Attempts would be made to find people with magical talent, and recruit them for magical training. No one would be taken unwillingly.

    5. All smiths, harvesters, miners, etc. would continue to work their jobs as normally.

  17. ELLMER

As Vyzna and his son sit, drinking tea the night before the expedition to the north, Refni checks her sons backpack for the third time that night.

"I'm proud of you son. You're strong, smart, and compassionate. You'll go far in life, I'm sure. I'll be even more proud when you walk back through the gates, preferably with a deal in hand."

Hyrd nodded, his mind on the expedition. Vyzna, eyeing his son, chuckled and set down his tea. "Go to bed, son. You'll need your rest."

    -------------------

Hyrd arose the next morning, and pulled on the leather armor his parents had painstakingly put together for him, a months ago. It will good quality, and met military standards, so his Superiors had no problem with him wearing it on this expedition, instead of his military standard iron. This  pleased him, as lighter armour meant he was lighter on his feet, even if he did sacrifice a little defense for speed. He picked up his pack, and checked through it to make sure he had his supplies. Confirming everything was there, he quickly did a check on his bow, and his sword. His bow, hand-crafted by himself, was well-oiled. His sword, military standard, was sharp, and the blade was clear of rust. Gathering the rest of his equipment, he headed outside to meet the rest of the expedition.

Outside, his family was waiting to send him off. Vyzna gave him a hand-carved charm, as a good luck token. His mother and sister each gave him a kiss on the cheek, wishing him good fortune. As Hyrd walked away, he turned to face his family, and waved, a smile on his face. At the gate, the rest of the expedition was waiting. As soon as he arrived, they set off, heading to the north.

    ACTIONS

    1. An expedition of 30 Ellmer soldiers would be sent north, keeping their distance from the giants, and anything else that might be a threat, taking note of it as they went. They would head for the Felician Capital, in an attempt to forge some type of alliance, or trade deal.

    2. The walls are finished.

    3. Mages and the remaining Military continue training

    4. The Harvesters, Miners, and Smiths would continue stockpiling.

As Vyzna stood, watching the Apprentices train with the Adepts, he nodded in approval as he watched his daughter casting fluidly. He turned to face his bookshelves, and pulled a few books off the shelf, before sitting at his desk. Reaching for his tea, as he read a few paragraphs of the first book, he paused, and reread a line. Setting the book down, he leaned back, and took a sip of his tea. After a few moments of silent thought, he reached out, and picked up a small piece of charcoal. Setting his tea down, he began to write a note out. Sending for a messenger, Vyzna wrapped the paper up, and tied it off, handing it to the messenger. The messenger dashed off with the note, and Vyzna settled back into his chair, resting his weary bones.

    ACTIONS

    1. A small group of Ellmer would be sent to watch the Giants from afar. They were to keep their distance, and merely watch in case the giants started to venture too close to Ellmer territories.

    2. A stone wall would continue to be produced. (1 Season)

    3. Mage and Military training continues as before.

    4. Miners and Smiths would continue working, and stockpiling.

Vyzna stepped onto his balcony, and looked about at his people below him. Then he looked up, and watched for what little sunlight was able to penetrate the thick canopy. The breeze held the sweet scent of spring. Vyzna stepped away from the railing, and slowly walked back into his house, where his wife, Refni, was preparing lunch for the day. Vyzna lowered himself slowly into his chair, and sighed. Elves certainly had long lives, and Vyzna was reaching the end of his. Refni set lunch on the table, and called to the children. Their 3 children dashed to the table, and took their seats.

Their son sat to Vyzna’s immediate right. Their son wasn’t very interested in magics, but was an exceptional swordsman, and showed incredible leadership, and compassion. Thier youngest daughter was taking sword fighting lessons from him, and though she looked like she could barely hold a sword, she was making good progress. Thier eldest child, a girl, had brought a book to the table, which wasn’t very unusual, and studied, even while eating, being careful not to spill lunch onto her book.

Vyzna looked around the table. His son, and youngest daughter, were having an imaginary sword fight. His eldest daughter glanced up, and met his eyes over the book, before giving him a small smile, and setting the book down.

“Father, you seem to be in high-spirits today. Has something good happened?”

Vyzna chuckled and shook his head. “No, my dear, today has just been a good day. The wind is light, the animals are calm, and-”

From outside shouting could be heard. Vyzna’s son dashed to the window, and looked out.

“It seems a messenger has been sent. It sounds as though the message is for you, Father.”

Vyzna slowly stood up, and walked to the door, waiting for the messenger. The messenger, out of breath, handed him a note, breathing heavily. Vyzna handed the boy a drink, and opened the note.

Ships have been sighted landing on the island. The ships seem to have a multitude of designs. We are unable to identify as friend or foe.

Vyzna set the note on the table, and stepped to the balcony. With a shout, the town below him turned to watch, and listen.

“I have recieved an important message today. Today, this island of Ellond has been set upon by foreigners. These people may come as friends, or as foes! We must stand together, with our arms open and waiting, in the hopes of friendship, but we most also stand, weapons drawn and ready, in case we must fight. This land is our home, and we will not stand to lose it to those driven by greed and hatred! We will only allow those with peaceful intentions to remain on this island!”

With that, a shout went up from the crowd, and the people below began buzzing with energy. Vyzna walked back into his house, and faced his son.

“You, my boy, are part of our armies. What I say to you, I want you to take to heart. We may soon be to war. I want you, and all of your men ready.”

Vyzna’s son nodded, and dashed off to alert his men. Vyzna no longer had an appetite, and asked Refni to clear the table. Refni quickly cleared it, and came to comfort Vyzna.

“Dear… you’ve lead our people for nearly a thousand years now… never have you once, lead them down a path they were unwilling to go.”

Vyzna kissed Refni’s hand, a nodded, his usual smile returning to his face.

“You’re right my dear. Thank you.”

Vyzna’s daughters quietly snuck out of the room, and returned to their lives, praying to Auri-El that those who had come ashore brought only peace.

    ACTIONS

    1. The Academy’s Adept mages would assign reading to the novices, so they could begin practicing magic as apprentices, and those already apprentices would begin practical training under the adepts.

    2. The military would enforce a preparatory training regimen, which required all soldiers to train with their entire set of equipment on, and to maintain their own equipment.

    3. The harvesters would begin collecting the fungi that had grown over the winter, and replacing the harvested fungi, with the spores that would allow fungi to grow over the summer, so they could be harvested during autumn.

Race: Ellmer (Snow elves, "Native" to Ellond)

Brief Description of Race/History: Long ago, before the return of Ysgrammor, with his Five Hundred Companions, the Snow Elves began to expand. They sent ships in all directions, looking for new, unfamiliar lands to settle. A single ship, named the Snow’s Dawn landed, battered, on an island named Ellond. The Snow Elves, unable to send a ship back to Skyrim to report to their home, began to settle the unfamiliar lands. Many generations passed, and the Snow Elves forgot Skyrim, as well as the name Falmer. Taking the name of their new home, they forsook the name Falmer, and began to call themselves the Ellmer.

As the Treue lay, his hand resting on Freihiet's head, and looks out his window, watching his people work. "May my people... always accept life... and may life... always accept my people..." And with that, his eyes shut, and Friehiet lets out a sorrow filled howl.

On that day, the first Treue of the Tiers people had passed, and another was chosen. The will of the first Treue was found, and it told of his final wish. He wished for his companion, Friehiet, to choose his replacement, and to act as a guide for him. Every person in the tiers, willing to take the roll, gathered in front of the temple, and Friehiet began searching amongst them for the new Treue.

After hours of Friehiet searching, he finally stopped before a boy of 15, and bowed his head. The new Treue was chosen, and it was this skinny 15 year old. Even the boy himself seemed surprised by Friehiet's choice, but, as the Treue's personal companion, and thus had the same weight of the Treue himself, the decision was made. The boy stood before the crowd, and just looked out at the crowd. He wasn't ready for something like this. He took a shuddering breath, and begin giving a speech. As the boy spoke, his words grew stronger, and he grew louder and bolder, and less quiet and reserved, and finally, the crowd itself begin cheering, and calling out. The boy decided that he would not take the same title as the Treue. Instead, he was called the Eroberer.

His first action was to send a messenger to the Shalunist Collective, and inform them that they would begin assaulting the orcish siege camp soon. His second, was to set up a great funeral pyre for the Treue.

They transform back into humans, and begin talking quickly. "Sir... there was this... giant thing... lizard with wings... Custos capital... beat naga..." And with that, they both pass out, trying to get the words out before they caught their breath. The Treue has them brought into the temple, where they are given cool water, and sleep peacefully. When they awake, they pass on their message properly. "There was this massive black lizard in the Custos Capital. It had huge wings, and supposedly beat a group of naga that were attacking the Custos city on this side of the Portal. He was huge, and incredible looking! They called him a "dragon"."

At this the Treue stood, silently evaluating the messengers stories, he nodded, and walked out into the city, where he drew his people's attention. "The Custos have a powerfula lly, called a "Dragon"! He helped them defeat the Naga menace that attacked the Custos city near us, and he may help them destroy the naga and orcish camps that lie near our villages! However, they may also ask him to turn on us! For that, we must find a way to fight this dragon, in the case that this happens!" There is murmuring, remembering what the Dreadlord said to them once before. The people thought that the Treue was going to attempt to contact the Dreadlord, somehow, and ask for his strength after all. However, the Treue was not finished. "This Dragon... it may be naught more than a beast! If that is the case, they are welcome in our town! However, this may also mean that we may be able to adopt their power for ourselves! Thus, I send the messengers back to our tiers, in the Custos Capital, with the task of studying the dragon, and learning how to turn into one themselves, so we may adopt their power, if they will not grace us with it themselves!

At this, the crowd cheers, and they begin to work again, talking animatedly with those around them. After the news from the Treue, the day seems just a little bit brighter.

The Treue looks upon his new temple with satisfaction, and rests his hand on his companion's head. His wolf, Freihiet, looks at him, his tongue lolling from his mouth. They entire the temple together, and call for the other to join. Once all there, they give their reports.

The Ritter announces that the walls around the city are finished, and so the Treue announces that the city shall finally be named! This new city, Oase, will be a safe haven for all animals to exist in peace and harmony. The Treue also asks the Ritter to train half of the bears and wolves that were integrated into Tier, to be used in combat.

The Ritter's men working on the walls see several large, chitin-covered creatures walk from the forest. As the creatures eye light upon the Tiers, they move towards them. The Tiers quickly shift into Bears. The creatures stop moving, and slowly raise their spears, in preparation to defend themselves. The creatures and the Bear-Tier stare at each other, before the Ritter runs over in wolf form. He shouts out to the creatures. "Halt there! What are your intentions?" The creatures glance back and forth at one another, and the largest steps forward. "We hold your people no ill-will. We were merely exploring, and chanced upon you."

The Ritter snorted, and sends a wolf-tier to get the Treue. "Our leader will decide that for himself."

The Treue came out to see the creatures for himself, and listened to the creatures tale. Afterwards, he invited the Custos into the camp, as their numbers would be nothing compared to the camps, should something happen. The Custos and the Tiers converse for a while, and finally a Custos messenger was sent out to inform their main camp of the discovery of the settlement. The Treue asks the Custos if they had seen anything of interest, and the Custos mentioned an orcish siege camp they had seen. At this, the Treue would sigh, and shake his head. "This is a dark time for our people. We have angered not only this orcish clan, but a clan of snake-people, to the east."

The Custos glance at one another at the mention of "Snake-People" "Those are called Nagas. We've dealt with them before, and they're violent creatures..."

Finally an envoy from the Custos Capital arrives, and a deal is struck between the two people. The Tier, fearing for their lives, offers to teach the Custos the magic of tansformation, after they showed a deep interest in it. In return, the Custos will teach them of smithies, and mines, and provide them with support against the Naga and Orcs.
