What is roleplaying?: Acting out a role of a specific character and fitting the traits during performance.
What is metagaming?: Using information that a character wouldn't know under roleplay circumstances, like looking for the secret lair with the co-ordinates given to you by your mate on skype.
What is powergaming?: Using emotes that does not let the other player react, like "Bob killed Steve". Non powergaming is "Bob tried to kill Steve".
In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.
Character’s name: Hartzen'or Krantir
Character’s sex: Male
Character’s race: High Elf
Character’s age: 700
Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.): During the Battle of Leyulin, Hartzen'or was kidnapped by a wood elf and sent away to Petrus by Phaedras for the human guards to kill. After stumbling in the grass ending Hartzen'or's short wander, human guards went to where he was lying. The elf looked promising after some TLC before he was taken to ask questions at the time though, so they would decide what to do after combat training. But this was to little success, so Hartzen'or ended up in the dungeons. After pleading the fact he was a high elf and that he could work with metals, he ended being a stonemason in the local blacksmith.
Things were going well for Hartzen'or, and he was earning enough minas to get a decent house. But the giant worm excavated the whole town, destroying the blacksmith and his home. With no where to run with a plan, Hartzen'or's only golden ticket opportunity was to grab the nearest horse and ride into the sunset. His destination Haelun'or, he didn't stop moving till' he could see the town in the distance. But little did he know that Haelun'or was within the ruins of Athera, no'r that he was left behind from the boats that were escaping from the wrath of the worm. The only possible way he could get to safety was to find other people, so he rode back to Petrus, to just about get on the last ship to sail away to the Isles of vailor...
Personality Traits: Wise, worn but still attempts to be hardworking.
Ambitions: To save Haelun'or in some way and be honored for the rest of his days
Strengths/Talents: Tailoring, baking and other minor jobs
Weaknesses/Inabilities: Big voyages like exploring and mining, and combat. Scared of worms, big and small.

I have seen this happen before, where people say they suck at this and that but don't do anything about it. It is quite easy to make up names, they do not have to be obscure elf names, but human ones too. If you try and improve on it instead of saying that you are terrible at it then I think that will help you further in getting into the event team later on.
