  1. IGN(s): Scene21.

    Age: 20.

    Timezone: GMT +2.

Discord: N/A (will disclose in private).

What map did you join during?: End of Vailor.

Do you have access to a microphone?: Yes.

Average daily playing time?: Used to play 1-2 hours, just got back and for some reason my whitelist was gone (and so was my Aether?, Telanir can confirm) I now play about an hour every day but my activity is going back up.

Have you held any LotC staff position(s) before? If so, for how long?: Head of media team.

Why do you want to join the GM Team?: I decided after multiple conversations that the best way for me to help the server is to try and join the team. I want to earn people's respect and in my view the only way is serving the community, enforcing the rules and helping people out wherever I can (including the forums).

Have you applied for this position before and been denied? If so, link the application: No.

Anything else you want to tell us?: Nothing.

Trust is gained by showing people reasoning behind controversial decisions. Refusing to explain things just leads to more distrust. If Tahmas wants to regain trust as he said he wanted in his previous post, then I'm explaining one of the ways I see it being done. Is that simple enough for you to understand.

Controversial decisions? I don't see it affecting 30-40% of the playerbase.

Is it affecting your RP that much??? I doubt it.

Tahmas might want to regain the people's trust but he's not going to be your genie that will fulfill your every wish.

Cool, and? Tahmas was talking about regaining trust, and I'm saying that trust doesn't come with decisions like that.

So trust is gained by letting you decide who becomes admin or who's on the team? No lmao.

He doesn't have to show you his work either. As long as the server's running he's doing a good job.

Ok fair enough. I haven't played in two years so I don't know much about you or the current team as a whole. Past experience leads me to expect you're probably all corrupt in some form, and I'm quite sure that's the case. However, you can't really avoid that since none of you are professionals. I'm curious about the situation with 501. You want to regain trust, but then you bump back a dude into the team with a feeble excuse of him 'working behind the scenes' to earn it.

Unless you provide tangible proof that he actually did work behind the scenes, that's 100% bs and classic Lotc staff bullshittery. I was staff, I knew a lot of people who were staff and when stuff like that was said it basically meant absolutely nothing.

You do understand you have zero say in who becomes staff and if he's gonna be there, right?

    lmao

  6. This thread disappoints me.

LoTC is a business, a business can and will be operated as any business would, by the team that runs it.

Decisions come and go all the time, it's up to the team to decide which is a beneficial decision.

Only thing I can agree with is that it's hard for a new player to get to 'know' people within the community and that's it.

  7. Name: The Bros

Purpose: Fortnight/Monthly newspaper, podcasts, weekly interviews and more.

    Proposed lead: Scene21.

Proposed managerial system: Everything will be discussed with the members before a decision is taken out.

    Current Member count: 5.

    Explanation: -.

What support do you need?: Well, flying for the occasional recording and anything else that might come along the way.

Links to any Relevant Content: Not just yet since the applications have just been opened. However our members have content which I can provide.

  8. What is the Media Team?

The media team is dedicated to covering a plethora of events which may be happening on the server, for people to see but also for other people who are not a part of the server to be able to look at and be attracted from. This team's goal is to cover a lot of things going on the server for everyone to be informed of but it's second main goal is to attract new players on the server. It requires a lot of co-operation within and patience to get things done.

What tasks will you be carrying out?

Depending on your skill set you'll be assigned to a task that suits it. Whether that's writing, graphics or a video, we expect full co-operation within the media team to have one great result for the whole server to see.

In charge of advertising? EH . . . You are the sole person in charge of advertising for Lord of the Craft?

What I tried to get across to Gizzy was that I was the one who's supposed to gather the Youtubers / Streamers necessary, I hope you do understand what I mean.

As I already said, I'm sorry and it shall not happen again, please don't keep bringing it up.

Are you going to comment on the fact Scene21 has apparently lied about his vast network of "contacts", and has in fact lied to them, and may in fact lie to them again? Do you really want someone who acts like that as a "representative of Lord of the Craft"?

What about the fact he's been adding people to skype chats claiming to be official Media Team? Which obviously he thinks he is, having put the media team banner in his signature.

I hope this 'Team proposal form' is posted on the forums and that prospective media teams are required to post it publicly. Also, the very important duty of "Representative of Lord of the Craft" is not being properly documented with it's own official procedure, process, boundaries, responsibilities, expectation. I am hoping that changes swiftly with the posting of the Team Proposal Form and requires all individuals adhere to a code of conduct. Even if it is not a staff position, if they are going to be acting as representatives of LoTC they should have to post an application so that if the players have any comment or warning, they can state it.

I appreciate the attempt at transparency as does the rest of the server I am sure. However there are still some concerns that need to be addressed. Scene21's actions already have explained himself.

And as everyone else has said, Do this way before next time.  I would like to know why you didn't clarify all this beforehand, because the fact you didn't still seems like you were hiding something.

I am not trying to start drama. But without this feedback and nipping problems in the bud things will go downhill.

Just gonna make one thing clear. I did not lie to Gizzy at all, I simply told him I was in charge of advertising and I have showed the email to people which I had to. I actually did not lie at all about anything like that.

He was simply confused and somehow had the impression I was one of the owners, I have no idea why.

Yes, but this server doesn't cater to the type of role-play they experience - majority of them won't get past the applications.

Obviously not everyone is a natural born talent at role-play but they have the right to try. Besides that, it's going to be introducing them to the kind of roleplay we enjoy, the ones who make it past the application are welcome to stay and the ones who don't should be helped to have their mistakes fixed.

Funnily enough Gizzy was part of a group of youtubers that LOTC was going to be involved with previously. I certainly look forward to see what you have in mind.

But to everyone else, just give him a chance before throwing around any pessimistic assumptions.

It's not so much about age as it is good RPers, and the common theme is that the younger they are; the worse their RP skills. Which is why we're worried, and if you look at all the new applications, they're awful and from a bunch of children. But, I guess we'll just have to wait and see (Good luck to the AT with all the new applications to come.)

Alright, thanks. Also, I am a bit worried for Gizzy's audience because, as stated, they are mostly younger people. There are some pretty mature concepts on LoTC, and we don't know how these people will handle it.

However I am not the person who's handled these things before, I've got experience and I'm not going to waste my time ******* about with any chance I get to help LoTC out.
