What is roleplaying?: Role-playing is a game in which the participants assume the roles of characters and create stories. Players determine the actions of their characters based on their characterisation, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines.
What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when you use Out of Character information, when you're in-character. Like player positions, or IC secrets, and stuff like that.
What is powergaming?: Powergaming is when you force the roleplay on another player, giving them no chance to have a part in the roleplay. Example "/me grabs his sword and chops his head off so he dies." That's powergaming.
In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.
Character’s name: Alsrik Snow
Character’s sex: Male
Character’s race: Farfolk
Character’s age: 20
Biography (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add server lore, and events that happened to your character so that they don’t contradict history.):
Alsrik originates from lands far away, he's one of the Farfolk. He came from an exotic land in the south, but the Farfolk had some different feuds with other tribes, so when one of the other tribes decided to attack and burn most of their village down. Alsrik and his farther tried to defend their village but ultimately failed.
His farther was the one who saved him, if he had not stayed behind and told Alsrik to get the escape boat with the others, he would have died. Alsrik takes this to heart and remembers it, due to this event only fuels his desire to become a great fighter and leader even more.
Since that Alsrik has travled many places and witnessed different kind of things, one of these things was the slaughter of The Mountain Monarchy which he saw happen on a open field while travelling. While staying in a village Alsrik got offered to join in the Siege of Barrowyk since he was young and strong. At first Alsrik saw this as a great opportunity to prove himself as a great fighter. But then reason struck him. He still needed training, and instead of risking his life in a fight he might not be ready for, he could train in this time span. So he did so. At a later date he got word that the siege had been won with the defenders having been slaughtered. He was a bit mad at this because he might have survived if he joined, but he knew his training had not been pointless, so he was still overall happy with his decision. Something very strange happened one day for Alsrik. While outside on his way to pick up some stuff at the local market the sky blackens. Alsrik had no idea what was going on. He overheard one of the villagers talking about a magical orb or something. Interested Alsrik walked up to the villagers asking what was going on. He was simply told that they had heard that someone had thrown a magical orb of some kind into a volcano. They continued the explain that why the sky blackened was due to the great amount of ash which was released into the air. Alsrik does not know for how long he was unable to see the sun, but he knows it was for a long time.
Personality Traits: Logical, reasonable, mostly optimistic, but dangerous and hostile when it's needed.
Ambitions: Being a respected fighter, and a respected leader.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: Magic, short temper, maybe a bit evil on the inside.
Appearance (List the extra details of your characters appearance, IE; height & weight): He has brown flat hair, light skin but still with some tan, brown eyes. He's about 1.80cm tall, and probably weights around 76 kilos.
