How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was looking around for a good roleplaying server, and this server popped up, so I thought I would give it a try!

What is roleplaying?: Acting out a role that is most likely a fictional character, taking part in a real life, yet fictional story (basically a real life movie or book) !                 

What is metagaming?: Using facts and tricks that you know yourself, therefore giving your character in-game skills that would be impossible for your character to obtain.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Power-Emoting also known as God-Emoting is making an action through text which denies other players imput, giving you full control over the situation. For example 

"Player3: Player 2 runs away and hides." and player 2 has to run and hide unless there is a try somewhere in there like "Player1: Player1 TRIES to strike player2".

Character’s name: Elthorn Alerond

Character’s sex: Male

Character’s age: 22

Biography : Elthorn was born in poverty. He was raised in the city of Felsen. Elthorn was a very miserable boy mostly because his mother died in childbirth with his brother. Not even the baby lived. Elthorn had to work for a baker to make money for him and his father. His father was a blacksmith, forging weapons and armor for the local army and ranger crew. Elthorn's father taught him how to make weapons, from  tiny little throwing knives to massive great weapons. So it was decided that his first job would be steel working. He crafted many weapons and doubled the pay per month, but that still wasn't enough. When Elthorn turned 13, he entered the crime business. That was the only way he could make more money. Elthorn completed many tasks, from stealing coins and pouches, to stealing swords and riches. By 16, Elthorn was one of the most successful thieves there was. He finally bought a small house, so him and his father, could rest in a warm, cozy house. Elthorn decided to go to the church of Canon for once. He stayed in the church for two whole days praying to The Creator and the Aenguls and Daemons. Finally, Elthorn left his father to join the local army.

          Elthorn trained with the army for 2 years. Learning basic sword and shield patters. So he strived to move into the elite corps. He practiced every day, working harder than any other of the students. Finally, he was ranked up. He decided to spend the month before training started with his father. When Elthorn arrived home, his father greeted him with coffee, biscuits and a new set of armor. The month passed fast, and Elthorn had to leave for the barracks. When he first got there, he was nervous, but soon enough, he was right at home.  He was learning many sword techniques, and ranged weapon techniques. He strived to learn and advance in his training, and one day, lead an army of his own. Elthorn was optimistic at first, but then he found out his father had died from Tuberculosis. He became unfocused and had sudden bursts of rage, ripping apart the  training dummies. He left the army, throwing away the chance to become a hero, the chance to bring peace to this land. He gave up and decided to never try again. He mourned his father for weeks, until he realized, "This is not what my father would want me to do. Elthorn decided to pack his bags, buy a sword and bow, and put on his armor. Elthorn realized his father wanted him to always be happy. So he set out on a quest. Elthorn swore an oath on his sword that he would never stop until it was accomplished. The quest for peace, was Elthorn's mission, his one and only mission, and it started in the Crownlands.

Personality Traits: Elthorn is a wise and caring man. He is helpful and trusting, and is always there to give aid to those who need it. His father raised him to care more for the people than for himself. He is very adaptable and can handle whatever is thrown his way. He has had to deal with things on his own before. Elthorn is very discreet about his feelings, but he continues to drag around the dreary forlorn of his father's death. The persisstant energy Elthorn lets off is one that helps him get the job done.

Ambitions: Elthorn hopes to explore the land and live life to its fullest. Yet, his quest for peace continues, so he hopes to banish all monsters and ghouls from this world. 

Strengths/Talents: Elthorn is an amazing swordsman. He has learned martial fighting and survival techniques as well. He is very good at hunting and stalking prey/enemies. He is a good speaker, and can communicate and make friends with almost anyone he meets. Elthorn can also be very stealthy, a good spy maybe to poison a corrupted lord or lady, or trick them into getting what he wants. 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Elthorn learned how to use ranged weapons in the Elite Corps, but he is not quite the ace he wishes to be. He also isn't that much of a runner, so it is hard for him to make an escape without bloodshed. Elthorn is also not the most organized guy. He doesn't plan when he goes into dangerous situations, usually ending with him trapped in a cell and having to work his way out. Elthorn is also very ambitious cook, but he can never seem to succeed in making fried beef or bread (or anything accept jerky). 

Appearance: Elthorn is about 6”1 and has dark brown hair, almost the color of chocolate. Hazel eyes with a stare that says "I'm either here to help or destroy you." He has a scar on the back of his head, from when a knight punched him when he didn't give him his order for his sword soon enough. Elthorn has a light stubble, and tries to keep clean in his facial region. He has strong shoulders and many scars on his back and chest from whips that the trainers used in the elite corps. He is wearing a deer hide shirt and some black, hardened leather armor, that his father gave him after his first year in the army.  He has nimble fingers that can throw knives at pinpoint accuracy. He has a scabbard by his left side containing his iron broadsword and a quiver on his right hip. Elthorn also has a longbow slung over his shoulder. He is wearing loose fabric pants with leather greaves, and strong, waterproof water buffalo skin boots.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: It is describing what is happening in a scene through text eg. Player1 punches Player2, Player2 steals Player1’s sword ect.

Biography : Elthorn was born into a decent family. He grew up in a small farm town with a large wheat field.  His mother was an artisan and his father was a weaponsmith. He had a brother Barron, who loved to play with him in the grasses and swordfight him with sticks. Alast, the event struck, killing everyone in the town. A dragon descended from the heavens, raining fire upon the village. People shrieked and yelled and tried to escape.

                  Elthorn’s house alit with his brother and mother still inside. He managed to hide in the tall grass near the village with his father. Elthorn and his father searched the town and mourned over their lost ones. Everyone died, except for them. His father raised him in a nearby town and taught him the art of armor and weapon making, and the art of swordfighting. By the age of 18, his father let Elthorn out into the world, hoping, he would one day become a great adventurer, just like his father was before him.

Personality Traits: Elthorn is a Noble, Hands On, get the job done type of guy. For him Blood runs thicker than water (family means most)

Ambitions: Elthorn hopes to slay the dragon that destroyed his village, and bring peace to this land.

Strengths/Talents: Elthorn is a skilled swordsman and archer, and is good at finding clues.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Elthorn needs to learn how to disguise himself, and increase his horseback skills.

Appearance: Elthorn is about 6”1 and has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and an olive skin tone, he has many scars on his back and chest from when he was caught stealing and was whipped. He has nimble fingers and a stare that can scare a troll.
