What is roleplaying?: It’s the act of assuming a role and then playing that role as realistically as possible. It mimics acting in the sense that actors play a character and have to convey their personality realistically.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.):

          In 1540, the first child, Matthias Sabin, was born to William and Sabrina Sabin, a Bhurgher family in the port city of Riga of the Duchy of Courland. At the age of 5, William Sabin passed due to unknown causes. Grief-stricken, Matthias's mother took the family funds, Matthias, and herself to Felsin, hoping to relinquish the memories of William. Sabrina remarried soon after her arrival. She became detached as Matthias was growing up, using her money to give Matthias schooling. Matthias father in law was also quite unattached, his attention focused solely on Sabrina. Matthias excelled in both schooling and fencing; however, he was quite arrogant. He had to be confident in himself, due to his mother's nature. At age 12, Matthias began fencing. He also excelled in this, for he saw it as a way to relieve his emotions and stay fit.

          In school, Matthias was quite popular due to his untaught charm and his intelligence. He'd often flirt with the girls and befriend the other popular children, raining hell upon the less able kids. He hired a tutor to further expanse his political knowledge. Matthias continued his fencing and learning. His step father soon passed away, and his mother grew even more depressed. He'd often leave home to escape his mother's sadness. Shortly after his 23 birthday, Sabrina Sabin committed suicide. Matthias stopped both his schooling and fencing lessons, seeing that it was time for him to set off on his journey for political power. (Sorry that it's rather short)

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)

          Matthias seemed quite charming, kind, and casual to those whom he approved of. He found himself to enjoy the political aspect of the  world.  Considering that, Matthias often tried to befriend those that would advance him in the social hierarchy and allow him to reach his goals. He'd often throw subtle affronts at people he considered irrelevant, mainly for fun or to keep his wit sharp. In addition, Matthias would be quite confident in his fencing skills. He'd constantly brag about how adept he was with a rapier. But if insulted about fencing or his family, Matthias would become outraged, often threatening or challenging the offender.

He heavily disliked the other races besides humans and elves. Matthias saw them as a waste of time, especially considering his childhood was in the Holy Orenian Empire. Despite that, he’d be rather fond of humans and elves, often resorting to flirting with the women. The main hobby he’d practice would be fencing, as expected.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?)  Matthias aspires to gain some political power.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) He’d be very good at fencing/swordsmanship, and he's rather intelligent.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Matthias would need to work on his defensiveness, personality-wise. His arrogance could also cause him to be blind to his own faults in the future. He'd be good at swordplay, a finesse fighter; however, he'd be rather useless in a real battle. Matthias cared little for a military career.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?)

Matthias would be an even 6 feet, thus leaning towards the taller end of Humans. Matthias also sported a slim build; however, he was still quite fit. His arms are around average height. Matthias’s legs would be slightly stronger than his upper body. The only scar Matthias had was on his torso, due to an incident as a child. And his skin was decently tanned, but not to the point that his skin looked brown. His dress was usually quite casual, for he often wore brown or black pants with a white shirt, button shirt. To sum up his outfit, he’d wear boots, with the pants tucked in, respectably. His garb resembled that of a sailor, due to his usually casual nature. He’d have a simple, sheathed rapier on his hip (if allowed).

Matthias’s face would be oval shaped. His jawline and cheekbones were well defined.  He’d have a slightly larger nose, though not to the point where it was out of proportion to his head. Matthias’s hair would be a dark brown, usually with the top to the left and the sides shorter. He'd have a beard (including a mustache) that slightly more than stubble. It'd be well kept, for he felt that a messy beard offered a bad appearance. His eyes were football shaped, and they were flanked by his rather thin eyebrows.
