What’s the rule you agree with the most?: I agree mostly on the Metagaming rule. This is mainly because I have experience roleplaying on other servers and Metagaming causes the role-play to become very unrealistic.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: I was looking through some role-play skins on PMC. I found myself looking on Katiesc's profile and she said it was a good server so I thought I'd check it out.

What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of playing as someone else. Their actions will be affected by the time, location and type of society they are living in, which all must be taken into account.
What is metagaming?: Metagaming is when you use information that the character you are playing would have no idea about. For example, you may be exploring the wilderness, climbing mountains and there may be a festival you really OOCly want to go to. However, there is no way of your character knowing this so you would not be able to attend, sorry :(
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Ah, this is also know as God Roleplaying. It's the act of using an emote that would affect another character, without giving them a chance to respond. For example, you cannot say something like "swings his sword and cuts into his opponent's side." You would first need to say something like "Unsheathing his sword, he would swing it towards his opponent's left side." This then gives the other player a chance to combat that.
In-Character Information Now you actually make your character -be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Luthais' childhood was a happy one. Born to Maeldir and Faelwen E'sthiel (NPC), Luthais lived his younger years within Laureh'lin. Ever since he could walk, his Father has been passionate about teaching Luthais the art of Archery to an expert level; this entertained numerous hunting trips into the woods with his Father. Luthais developed the skill of Archery very quickly. His father would say it was "Natural Talent", making him a very proud father. Luthais enjoyed the company with his father, especially the camping out and sitting around the fire, telling stories about the old days. His father would tell him tales of the Battle of Leyulin and of course the more recent stories of the Oren King being butchered by the High Elves. Luthais was always intrigued by his father's stories as he was a very good speaker. Luthais speaks the common language like his mother and father.
Around the age of 20, devastation struck Luthais' family with the death of his Mother. There was nothing that could be done to save her life; she had become riddled with a particularly potent disease. The event took a terrible turn on Maeldir (Luthais' Father), so much so that he died from her grief a few weeks later. Alone, Luthais found company with a few of his friends and together decided it best to leave the past behind and explore the world. They now wander the wilderness, in search of adventure.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)
- Honest: Honest is something that Luthais always tries to be. He finds it the best option as he, himself would hate to be lied to. If Luthais did feel that the truth could harm the person very seriously, however, then he may deem it best to keep the truth from them. He does not think this bad, more protective.
- Consistent: Luthais does not really have "off-days". He tries to not let feelings become obstacles for his day to day tasks. He is focused.
- Well-spoken: Luthais speaks well, almost enchanting. This is, again something he picked up from his father from all the stories.
- Curious: This can be Luthais' downfall. He will often investigate noises or "bumps in the night", as one should. This can often lead him into danger and the use of his trusty bow.
- Blunt: There are times, mainly in danger when Luthais is straight to the point. He will not hold back and say how he feels. This can sometimes be offensive and land him in some trouble.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Luthais aspires to be like his father. His father was his idol throughout his life. Legollas finds it admirable that he died due to the loss of his wife. It shows how much he cared and one day Luthais hopes he shall love someone that much.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?) Luthais is extremely good at Archery. He has been doing it from a young age and so by now has developed the skill to a strong level. He continues practice in this talent too on a day to day basis. Legollas has also developed some good strategical skills through his time with his father and time out in the wilderness.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) Luthais could work on restraint. He needs to learn when to run. In battle, he may be outnumbered but he will still see opportunity as he knows himself that he is very skilled in combat. This may seem like a good thing but it puts him in a lot of danger and may eventually be the cause of his death.
Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?) He is about the same height as the average human. His hair colour is a very light brown- almost blonde. His eye-colour is brown and he wears green clothing with a cloak to keep himself warm. He will always have his quiver and bow over his shoulder as well. His skin colour is slightly tanned.
