It's been a while since I've been here. I've decided to retry the server.

the only thing..  let's just say my character underwent a, well, magical makeover. I hope this does not complicate things.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: role-playing in which you force someone into something without a reaction, like saying you swing a sword and cut someones arm, when it should be something like swinging the sword, and AIMING to cut their arm.

Biography  (Please make it a decent two paragraphs long. Remember to add three references to the server lore.): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)             As a young boy born in 1530 he grew up with two brothers and a sister, and had a Farmer for a father and a shopkeeper for a mother. His favorite thing to do as a boy was to watch his Uncle work as a toolsmith for the village. Although he had dreams of becoming a blacksmith like his uncle, his mother wanted to teach him to run a business, which, although he was fairly good, his hopes still rested at the forge.

One day in 1536 his older brother Thomas came running into the house calling for their father. He asked what was going on, and Thomas replied that a ‘fine-dressed man’ was calling for the whole village, minus the children, to meet at the square for, as he said ‘the opportunity of the century’. Erikson and Thomas, both being curious, decided to follow the stranger with caution. When they arrived at the square, the man introduced himself to the growing crowd as the Herald for the local Baron. He announced that his master got orders to call up an army to support Oren in the ongoing Eighteen Years War and that the other villages were already gearing up. He wanted to seize the chance and be promoted before the chance fell to someone else. His Uncle and many of the other men, with the light of adventure and battle in their eyes, all rushed to arm themselves. Thankfully his Father decided to stay and care for the family. Crying, a heart-broken six-year-old Erikson begged his Uncle to stay too, but he just smiled and told him that if he didn’t go, the other who did would be in bigger trouble, and with a final hug, the two parted.

  In 1538, they got news from a pitiful weak man: their group was completely eradicated by two treacherous villages that combined forces with not only themselves, but a Dwarven regiment. His uncle gave his life to defend a dozen other men. The whole village held a mass funeral for their deceased. Seven years  later, Thomas entered the forge with Erikson, to see if they could  find their Uncles will. After two hours of searching, 15-year-old Erikson found a dusty old paper, as brittle as dead barley. When he opened it, he saw that it was indeed in his Uncles handwriting. As he read it, his family, coming in to check on them, gathered around in a hushed excitement. The paper was indeed a will, and it said that he wished his Nephew, Erikson, to take his place as the local Blacksmith, along with anything he wished to do. Erikson’s parents, finally realizing, decided to let him decide to take his dream as a smith. In the year 1556 he left his village to journey elsewhere, perhaps to find more employment, or maybe a grand adventure...
