Who are they?:

Humanoid monkeys are what the Hou-zi are, they became intellectual creatures after being advanced by Metzil who thought them clever and their looks that appeared similar to other races. Metzli soon met with their soon to be leader, Hou-Shen. He changed Hou-shen through magic, making him more human like, with that Hou-Shen became a prophet and gifted his fellow primates the same as him in the jungle of Asul, soon making the Hou-zi.

What is their Culture?

Wealth was the most respected and valued. They treasured Jade as the rarest but most valued wealth source. The current Hou-zi live in isolation and a simple life-style. Hou-shen became a god to some of the Hou-zi while the Metzli was hated, the Hou-zi even went as far as to rename them from “Awakener” to “Doombringer” 

What did they become?

After the advancements they developed weaponry, built homes in just 4 years. When the 50^th came around the capital was constructed naming it “Jing-Taiyun”. Hou-Shen ruled with a governing group of 12 below him. The group of 12 were known as the “Ruling Council of Chi.” The society grew and became a force to be reckoned with. But Metzli influenced Hou-Shen to expand and find new treasures to claim, with this came conflicts with the elves. The Hou-zi soon went to war with the Kingdom of Malinor. Eventually and sadly the Hou-zi people lost mostly due to their leader who went missing and the coming of an old deity called “Poison” destroyed Jian-Taiyun.

What Sub-Race?
The Fei-Zhu are the most beautiful and powerful in agility out of all the Hou-Zi, they are well known by their colorful fur, ranging from Red to Green to Purple. Their height was from 5ft to 6ft, and could live to 300 years. In the Old Empire of the Hou-zi they were seen as nobles, mostly in the business of politicians, courtiers, artists, ministers, poets, and even musicians. They were small in population compared to their Laobai neighbors. Fei-Zhu were devout to Hou-shen and after his disappearance they took on the role of Shenjiao priest, spreading the words that all the Hou-zi would join Hou-Shen in Heaven one day. Back to their abilities, for what the Fei-Zhu lacked in strength they made up for in their agile and dexterity. Using their speed to their advantage. Within Chi-Bending they would most likely take on ways of the Moon or Crane, wanting to learn healing and agility.

Biography:Born in 1559, Shir’aki who was 13 at the time is from The Dominion of Malin, in the city of Linandria,her mother was seamstress as her father was a hunter. She grew up in a loving family with two brothers,Erumollien, who was the tallest and oldest in the family he was 18 years old and was 5’7, he was sophisticated and a hunter like his father. Her younger brother Manwë  and the shortest 4’6, who was 12, he was open-minded and a seamstress like his mother.

A fateful day occurred when Shir’aki and her brothers were up in the trees, playing tag, Shir’aki was it, she had found Manwe, then proceeded reached out to tag which ended in her falling towards him full weight and he fell off the tree and landed with a thump on the ground. She sat on the branch in shock, the went to check on him when Erumollien gripped her arm roughly and said “Haven’t you done enough!” he said harshly, resulting in Shir’aki running away from home…., she never saw her family again and lived in isolation from others whenever possible. Avoiding interaction to keep herself from harming others, for 10 years, to learned to forgive herself for what happened and was planning to take a trip back home to apologize properly to her family :).
