Are you aware the online content on this server may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13? You won’t be denied for being under 13):

    Yes.

Have you read and agreed to the rules?:

    Yes.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?:

OOCly lying or otherwise deceiving players for your own gain is not allowed, however you may do so to (and only to) prevent being metagamed. An example in this case being if you are attempting to trick somebody IC, you don’t have to tell the truth if they ask OOCly about your plans.

    Not particularly!

    In-Character Information

    Character’s name:

    Eira Halle Rudhart.

    Character’s sex:

    Eira is female.

    Character’s race:

Eira is a Farfolk from the nation of Sutica, but her ancestry traces back to the Caliphate, intermixed with a couple Heartlanders here and there.

    Character’s age:

Eira is 22 years old, born on the 22nd of Snow’s Maiden, 1561. (I’m assuming the game is in year 1583.)

    Biography

Eira resides in the Federation of Sutica, in the Gate District of the city-state, Sutica. She was born before the pilgrimage from Vailor to Axios, and was ten years old when it occurred. All she can remember from the event, after a happy childhood surrounded by plants, books, and sunshine, was brimstone, dark smoke, and the dark face of her mother, covered in ash as she pulled her hand insistently through the portal, utterly terrified at something following them that Eira never had the chance to look back at.

They resided together in a tent outside the planned site of the city while architects bickered outside about building styles, where to place districts, and how the road system would be built. She studied hard with the limited books brought over from Vailor, with tattered edges and singed parts of pages after she had tried to get too close to the light, and she ate when her mother brought her food, delicious, still-steaming bread from the bakery that had been freely given by smiling women. Her scribbles on the limited parchment were small, marked with stray ink splotches and large dividing lines between her notes. (Under her nose, her mother found an intellectual to replace the husband she lost in the Taint.)

When Eira was twelve-and-a-half, they finally moved into a house in the Gate District, a large home with a bit of soil in the front that she enjoyed digging her preteen fingers in, feeling the soft earth and planting bright flowers to make her mother smile. Eira’s childhood, overall, was happy; she was as well learned as the books her community brought over, stored in the Lubba Athenaeum, and the men she listened to when they talked.

Eira grew into herself, finding solace in peace and plants instead of the rapidly growing city and people around her, and focused her sights on becoming a scholar, seeing the world far and wide, and opening her eyes to exploring the new world around her: Axios.

    Personality Traits:

    • Smart/witty

      • Eira aims to become a scholar, and is often found with her nose buried in a book.

      • Eira is the textbook (:D) type to sit in the shower and argue with herself, or come up with funny one-liners, or think of ways to end arguments she’d had two weeks ago.

    • Solitary

      • Eira prefers to be alone, and chafes at social activity. She is very awkward, and often fumbles over her words around people she has just met, mostly choosing to keep a pensive silence around said people until she feels comfortable.

    • Ambitious

      • Eira aims to travel, to become a learned woman, and to eventually become such a scholar as to be useful to the Royal Family; as an advisor, informant, or teacher.

      • On a lesser goal, she intends to move into the Clock Tower district at some point, and secure a job somewhere in the Athenaeum.

    • Temperamental

      • Eira is easily caught aflame with annoyance; she does not mix well with tricksters, or people who enjoy seeing people frustrated.

      • She turns to her plants to calm down after a particularly bad outburst.

    • Honest

      • “In order to get anywhere in this world, you must be a couple things. You must be well learned; you must be honest; and you must be able to learn from anyone and everyone who crosses your path.”

      • Liars, cheaters, and dirty thieves are the lowest of the low to Eira, seeing truth and honesty as a golden path to walk upon. (However, the rest of the world is not so accommodating to this viewpoint…)

    • Cold-hearted

      • Eira is reserved, and while she spares coin for those worse off, she does not make a habit of charity.

      • She dislikes bleeding heart-type people, seeing them as unnecessarily caught in the tricks and wiles of others.

    • Determined

      • Eira works tirelessly to achieve her goals; the ends justify the means, to a point. She is known to stay up for days at a time until exhaustion overtakes her, studying and writing out notes, articles, and pinnacle pieces of thought late into the night.

    • Stubborn

      • Eira is hard-headed and unmovable; while she is open to accepting proposals, they must have solid reasoning backing it, she will not give up on her own works and projects even after backlash, instead choosing to work in secret.

Her nervous habits include lip biting and fidgeting. She enjoys herbalism and plant work, and knows medicinal remedies based off each that she tends in her small garden, but her hands lack the practice her mind has, and as such she is not the best at healing, to put it nicely. Her pet peeves include taking too much time to do simple things, people chewing with their mouths open, and people who talk louder than necessary at any and all times.

    Ambitions:

Eira plans on becoming a wise, well known scholar who can be of service to the crown family of her nation. Along the way, she wishes to live in the Clock District, travel, and learn anything and everything she can. (Later on, I might play with her seeking a magic teacher in her quest for knowledge.)

    Strengths/Talents:

    • Reading- Eira is a very quick reader, scanning full pages with easy vocabulary in a minute and a half, with more difficulty (read: field-specific jargon) taking more time as she reads carefully.

    • Green Thumb- Eira enjoys tending a garden, and studies plants, biology, and herbology as both a hobby and a way to fulfill her goals.

    • Linguistics- Eira speaks fluent Common and semi-fluent Qalashi, and has a wide range of words at her command.

    Weaknesses/Inabilities:

    • Awkward- Eira may have a way with words, but she can’t very well use them to, you know, actually talk to people. She fumbles, flounders, and uses bad word choice around new people, often turning them away from her.

    • Weak- In her training of her mind, Eira has neglected training her body. She can barely carry anything about 20lbs, struggles with the most basic feats of strength, and while she goes for runs every so often, she is very feeble.

    • Anxious- Eira gets incredibly nervous sometimes, and while she usually loses herself in work to get rid of how shaky her hands are, sometimes it translates into physical illness, and the suffocating feeling of drowning bubbling up her throat is sometimes very paralyzing.

    Appearance:

Eira is a woman of short stature, standing at 5’4 (162.56 cm) and weighing 114 lbs (52 kg). She has long, curly grey-white hair (mostly dyed, with her roots hidden whenever they grow in) that is often braided to her mid-back, with bright flowers interwoven in the top of it. She has skin the color of caramel; a smooth, light brown with dark freckles spread across her shoulders, back, cheeks, hands, arms, and neck.

Her eyes are mismatched; one is a light brown, the other a slightly more golden shade. She has a burn scar (on the side of her left palm, just under where it meets the pinky) that was caused when she tried to rescue a tome about herbology from a fiery fate. Eira wears gloves to hide both her freckled hands and the burn on her hand, but usually has them in a pocket when not outside. Being from the cold continent of Ceru, she is used to covering up, and dresses in lightweight but insulating blue and khaki robes, with a bright blue accent scarf over.
