             Witchdoctory Shamanism

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

             

    Witchdoctory is a ritual-based form of shamanism. A group rp centric magic in theory yet can be done solo. Through the Immortal and Elemental plains the Shaman can draw upon spirits power to place boons and/or banes upon those unfortunate enough to find themselves in company of one. From basic to master the formula is the same as in it always requires three ingredients, and a proper ritual (5 emotes). There are things like Practical Application and Voodoo Dolls that work slightly different but in essence the same or derive from a Hex already.

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

             

    The only sub-sects or differing qualities of Witchdoctors is which spirits they've pursued to gain favor of.(i.e. Akezo and it's relation to cursed healing.)
     

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

             

     

    The shaman withdrew a box of cloth, needle, and things the sort from under the crude workbench aside his cauldron. His eye would study over Snaag as he prepared his work. With chalk the Lur would outline a humanoid form upon green fabric. He would replicate a second copy with the initial cut out and then sew the two together.

    Greenskin hands worked swift to begin attaching smaller cloth of various color, accentuating yellow eyes and undercut locks of brown hair. Upon the wrists two gray binds were added along with potato sack pants. Once this was complete the Lur would smirk, then would stuff the doll firm and close it sewn tight.

    The Witchdoctor now looked over to his unlucky subject with a mischievous grin. The snagga winced as the Lur leaned over and snatched a tuft of his hair in crude manner, separating the straggling locks with a worn dagger.

    After taking Snaag's hair, the Lur bound it in a loop with twine before attaching it about the doll's neck. But a moment later the shaman would command. "Da tik am nuw, put lat han' oba da bowl."

    As the bowl gained a small pile of the slave's ickor, the Lur would unhand him and loft the bowl over the doll as he began to call out, "Ilzgulu, Krimp-za Kraur, Krimpun Frum'Ulub... Gaakh Graur'lab Iizt'ub. . ." A murky, green aura began to flow from the holes of the Witchdoctor's skull mask as he spilled the slave's blood over the effigy. As the aura enwrapped the doll it would begin to writhe in almost human-like manner.

    "Ilzgulu, Gaakh za Krimp Paazhnar Lag. Larg-azr Durburz." he concluded as the animated smog guided the poured blood within the chest of the doll, it falling limp now as it all soaked in. The ritual was complete.

     

    Can you give an example of a teaching-emote (interacting with another) of a spell of your choice?

             

     

    The Lur rested by the boiling cauldron in his blargh aloft in the trees. He'd perk up, setting his roll of green aside as the door creaked eerily. The Elder settled with a subtle /whew/ upon seeing the bloodstained locks of his son and magical protege.
    "Ug der mon, Kome joyn miz da wata' am juzt boylink."


    Kaluz would wander into the scene and takes a seat, watching his father and asking "Wub gwon popo, lat mayk anudda hex or zohmting tu eat?"


    "Diz pot am unleh fur hexin' mon." The Lur snickered briefly before taking a long drag upon the roll of green left idle from before. With a bob of his head he'd gesture his kub to take a seat. "Wizh dub gruk mon?"


    "Ob courz, me gruk eet be a blezzin' ob krug dat we kan  peep duh odda grukkinz ob zhomo!" The pupil spoke with enthusiasm.


    The Witchdoctor would rise from his seat; his freehand would scoop up a pouch brimming with flora of different sort. With a roll of his wrist cascading the rest of his form the Lur's ritual began. Humming throatily as he puffed upon the large roll of herb.


    Kaluz would produce his own spliff and lights it with a nearby flint and steel, watching his father continue his ritual


    "Freygoth! Ilzgul-gazogum'ob! Zkaat'izgu! Duzh-ziimal'izub! Zkaat, Freygoth!" the Lur chanted aloud. After a last puff from the rolled of prime green the shaman would toss it into the cauldron, giving off a sickly sizzle as a zkunky haze formed over the ritual area.


    Kaluz would cough a moment at the smoke billowed about before adjusting to it and continuing with his spliff


    The shaman would now dip and bob into his dance as he produced some gold caps of pristine fungi from his pouch. Continuing the ritual's cadence in throaty hymn. As the Lur cast the 'shrooms into the cauldron an audible 'Poof' would be heard, triggering an upward plume of smog that now distorted the swirling aura with psychedelic phantasms.


    Kaluz lookz utterly surprised as he glimpses into the various shapes and images that would portay themselves in the smogged room and simply inhales his spliff, exhaling under his breath "Skah..."


    "Baga'an za Rai, Guk-Gazogum'Izhi! THrak-Bukoial Gukh! Af-zurum'ulub Lut!" the /Dushatar/ continued, now pulling the final ingredient from his pouch: A frog's toe.  The Lur would then assume a swaybacked posture, hopping from foot to foot as he forced guttural croaks upward from his belly.


    The young Lur would continue to observe in silence as Akila begins acting about, seemingly confused(edited)


    With the frog's toe now casted in, a loud crackling could be heard as it slowly sunk into the brew. A final, "Zkaat, Freygoth! Lup, Freygoth!" the aura of smog would rapidly whirl and above the cauldron, funneling high above it to thinly spiral down, it's murky green texture overtaking the water as the ritual was complete.


    "Be it ovah?" the young Lur inquired.


    "Yub mon, pazz mi azh dem bottulz un da zhelf oba deyr." The Lur pointed behind his son's head as he held a most spooky ladle in anticipation.


    Kaluz would pick out some larger bottles first then small ones as he hobbled over with an armful of bottles


    "Freygothz hex kan diztort growfz ob uzgz draztikleh mon. Deyz kan alzo mayk agh mon krazeh, feral eben. Hexez kan be veweh nub'pre'gruk'd'able, mon." The shaman would add as he snagged only one of the larger bottles from his son's grasp. With careful hands he'd ladle it up into the bottle before shuffling over for a cork.

     

    Say your student powergames during or after teaching, how do you reprimand that?

             

    I’d say it depends on the severity of the situation. I’d likely first try calmly explaining what they did wrong and the proper way to fix it.

    Air Elemental Shamanism

     

    Describe this magic or a creature as a whole:

    Air elementalism is one of the six known sub parts of elemental shamanism. Should a spiritualist find himself under teachings of a master of his element, he shall attain the knowledge to release his spirit from the mortal plain and walk within the elemental realm of the Stargush’Stroh. Then through locating, speaking, appeasing, and honoring the lesser elemental one may be able to make a pact with said spirit . Once this pact is made the elemental will grant the shaman use of his powers. A teacher then guides it’s pupil further to hone and atone.

     

     

    Are there different sections or subsections of magic? Can those be elaborated upon?

    As far as Elemental Shamanism goes the only known elements able to pact with is Fire, Water, Earth, Air, and Storm, Metal. Each bares similar in theoretical practice yet each open up to their own world of personality.

     

     

    Can you give an example of a casting emote, of a spell of your choice?

    The shaman’s brow furrowed as he examined the thick layer of dust that lay upon his shrine to Urugu. “Diz will nub do.” he huffed.
    He then rolled his shoulders and neck, joints crackling as the aged uruk loosened up.  “Gorgulb’izb Uzhk Lup, Urugu!” he called out as his body and arms twisted and swayed rhythmically. His arm rose bent at the elbow and hand cupped. with a sharp turn of the heel his hand swept over the air only to have the other half of his figure mirror these same movements back in the direction whence came.
    ”Urugu! Honug-izub Lup’ob!” Sweat would begin to form upon his brow as he continued in his appraisal-like movements. The winds began to stir about with light whirs, funneling into the shaman’s motions.
    A tusky grin would begin now to form over the Shaman as his hands rolled about each other before shooting outward like casting dice for the base of the statue. Quick currents of air washed over the carved monolith, making it shine anew.

    The shaman stretched wide as they reached the windy mountain peak, goosebumps rising as the chill breeze washed over his green skin. “Lat gruk da grukkinz. Feel da breez. . Move wid idd. . Kall oudd tu lat ilzgul agh mayk da mill zpin.” He reiterated as his hand reached forth, pointing to the windmill-like shrine.

    The student, who realized that they had in fact signed up for this, scratched the back of their neck. In an attempt to make something happen they stretch as well, squinting their eyes shut to focus only on the breeze. Copying their teacher, they would reach an outstretched palm towards the windmill, calling out for their spirit. "[Blah blah blah.]"

    The shaman would chime in "Mooove widd da breez." his body would sway in imitation as his arms became to wiggle and wind about eachother.

    After a few fruitless seconds, the student begins to clear their mind and allow calm to take over. Their eyes crack open as they fix their gaze on the windmill, beginning to move their arms in tandem with the wind. "[Insert first chant here.]" While their feet remain in place, they aren't entirely immovable, keeping their weight shifting and flexible like the breeze.

    Drawing in a deep breath and exhaling, they continue their chant. "[Insert second chant here!]" One might notice that the air around them seems disturbed, or even perhaps, controlled. They wave their arms with growing speed and to an outsider the student would likely look askance, but as the grass near the windmill bends under the conjured wind, a pattern begins to arise.

    And finally, with no small amount of effort and precise flailing, the student manages to gather just enough moxie to shape a small gust of wind that flies through the windmill and turns the arms. The student is elated! So much so that they nearly knock themselves off balance with the windmilling of their OWN arms.

    Elementalism, is the ability to use the power of the spirits to manipulate the elements that are present and in the vicinity of the shaman. This is done by smoking cactus green, making trinkets and things of attraction, and meditation to call out to the spirit and bond with them in such a way that the spirit will offer to make a pact with the shaman, once the pact is made, the spirit uses the shaman as a sort of medium to send there power through, the shaman, in turn, though there bond, can use that power to manipulate the element.

    Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

    They're an addition to one's soul, though technically afflicted, are still neutral generally. They're weak against silver/gold, fire/bright lights, and holy magics. They're vulnerable during their tranformation due to their lack of ability to move or handle a weapon. Blood, anger, and/or craving for flesh cause them to turn into their feral form, though after awhile it can become slightly less problematic with proper feeding habits, mind you, a feral never has control over it's feral form if triggered due to lack of feeding or anger. In their descendant form they have enhanced sight, smell, and hearing; And in your transformed state you're even more enhanced in your senses.

    Well anyways I could care less if you got the TA or an MA, what I care about, no, what EVERYONE cares about is whether or not you'll actually roleplay it correctly. I'm glad you've spotted your simple mistake but you haven't spotted your "complex" mistake. A mistake most inactive players accidentally do when coming back. That being they assume everything is the same, which is very much not true. This server is ever-changing.

     

    I fully intend to roleplay it correctly. I just wish you all wouldn't pursue me at lengths of lying. The latter part more directed at Pixi rather than yourself.
