What is roleplaying?: To create, then act out a fictional character in a fictional scenario.
What is metagaming?: Using out of character information through mediums like skype, discord, or even the forums. Information your character wouldn't normally be aware of. Ex. In teamspeak saying what X person is doing Y location.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: The act of imposing actions to another character or characters with no way to return action. Being unkillable, uncatchable, etc. ie: I throw a fan of blades that strikes everyone's hearts in the room, mortally wounding all of them.
In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Born on the year 1569, Rhyloc originated from the northeast part of the War Nation of Krugmar where he became an exception hunter both land and sea. Rhyloc grew up in a relatively normal way, learning combat at a young age just like other orc and although exceptional with any weapon Rhyloc developed a great talent with axes. Rhyloc reached physical adulthood at an earlier age of 11 weighing at 550 pounds and ending up to just be short of 8 feet by one inch. Despite being physically gifted Rhyloc was soft spoken and had trouble making friends with other orcs. It was through his masterful display of axes that he had other orcs come up to do the orc greeting, often losing which resulted in disrespect and ostracizing. Despite that he made a few good orcish friends, ones that he would even put his life on the line for. Being an orc of few ambitions as well as being less shamanistic than other orcs, Rhyloc didn't have much to live for, consequently, he just work towards being useful in any scenario, whether it be for the orcish army, or for his comrades.
Rhylocs first chance at combat came at a very young age of 12 during the siege of San'Kharak in 1581. Rhyloc fought alongside with two of his childhood friends. During the heat of the battle, one of Rhyloc's friend was wounded by an arrow. Rhyloc, fearing more for his friend's life than his own decided to run across crossfire to shield his comrade from being hit from further arrows. Rhyloc, managed to make in time to protect his friend, though he payed the price in blood and honor. In an attempt to save his friend, he got himself critically wounded on the brink of death which removed him from the battle indefinitely while also disobeying orders from his superiors to pullback. He was banned from participating in battles until further notice. Now Rhyloc, after his recovery and gaining permission from the nation, spends a lot of time traveling outside of the War Nation going to various lands such as Sutica and the Kingdom of Courland to train himself in different lands and environments and occasionally try different drink. His adventures has led him to meet the other many races, some even became good friends. His time spent outside of orcish lands gives him more appreciation for other cultures, but in the end he understands that he must return when his nation calls him for battle, even if it meant he had to turn his back on his new found comrades.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?) Easily inspired, overprotective of his things and his friends/comrades. Hates pompous people and people who aren't humble. Love humble people otherwise. Doesn't like to speak much, would rather get straight to the point, but can argue for hours on topics that he is passionate on. Likes to travel outside the nation of Krugmar.
