What is roleplaying?: Roleplaying has it in its name. You play a role, and you play that role as the role is ment to be played. Its simple really. If you hate cats, but your character loves cats, you will act as if you love cats. Same thing if turned around, ofcourse. You take on a role, instead of youself, and have fun with it.
What is metagaming?: Metagaming is using OOC, out of character, knowledge to your advantage. Ofcourse your character has no way of having this knowledge, so its cheating. Dont cheat kids.
What is power-emoting (powergaming)?: Powergaming is when you force an act upon another player, without giving them a chance to react, or make a character that is ridiculously powerful. For example: "I throw my fireball at you, burning you to a crisps within a second! BECAUSE IM THAT GOOD."

Biography: Vandar was born in St. Karlsburg in the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska, Haense. He grew up in a poor family, where his father supported him, his brother and mother by the wage of a mere city sergeant guardsman. It was a poor upbringing, but it taught Vandar humility. He also learned to fight from childsleg, either from his older brother who early in his life became a guardsman like their father, or by the other kids in town hunting him for being the son of a guardsman. When Vandar grew older, his father was given a golden oppotunity. A local minor nobleman offered Vandars father a squire spot in his house. However, Vandars older brother was already too old to be trained properly, so Vandar was chosen to live with the nobleman. The nobleman was named Vendel of house Lymmen, and he was a proud and stout man. His house was not rich in wealth, but in tradition and history. Vandar squired under Vendel for many years, all up until his 18th winter. On his 18th birthday, Vendel had Vandar duel one of his old retainers, in order to be knighted under the Lymmen Eagle. Vandar won the duel against the old retainer, with only a few large bruises, and as such was knighted by old Vendel Lymmen.
Vandar continued to serve Old Vendel for years to come, training new squires and sometimes town guards aswell. He went bandit hunting around Otto's Spine with his lord or other retainers. He served loyally until Vendels Death when Vandar was 29 winters old. This turned his world around, as Vendel had no heirs, no one to take over the house. Vandar and the other knights of Vendels house came together to pay for the house Vendel used to live in. Here they formed the Knighthood Order of the Lymmen Eagle. Now, this Knighthood order was not a particularly renowned order, nor a powerful one politically. However they where especially focused on the training of new squires and especially the guardsmen of the town, aswell as any paying citizen of the Kingdom. He worked with his order in St. Karlsburg for many years before Vandar, through this order, ended up tutoring for a young boy named Aylwin Blaxton in the city of Mondstadt further down south. Vandar tutored Aylwin for few years until he got a letter, telling of The Knighthood of the Lymmen Eagles grandmaster and knight-commander, ended up in a duel and killed one another over a dispute. This message came out of nowhere for Vandar, as he had no knowledge of this dispute, and as such decided to return to St. Karlsburg in order to meet with his fellow members and discuss the orders matters. Sadly, his order parted shortly after the meeting, dissolving the Knighthood Order unoffically. However, Vandar was not keen on giving up on the Lymmen Eagle, and proudly keeps the title to his heart. Now Vandar is 52, and after travelling the roads after the knighthoods dissolve, he finally found himself back in familiar lands.
Personality Traits: Vandar is a rugged man. He respects diciplin and manners and as such attempts to be such himself at all times. He likes to tease youngsters, when they think they are high and mighty. He is a soldier, but one with manners. He upholds heirarchy when he can, unless the ruler proves himself/herself unworthy to his/her subjects. He is not a loud and boasting type, neither a quiet and cautious type. He is a golden middleman.
Ambitions: He onced dreamed of becomming a widely renowned knight. But through the ages this dream has dwindled to almost nothing. He has developed a life philosophy about being happy enough to train youngsters in the arts of swordsmanship aswell as court manners.
Strengths/Talents: His most showing strenght is that of the sword. He was a natural talented swordsman in his youth, and has only bettered himself up through the ages. This has been dulled with the age aswell however, but he is still highly capable. His second listed strenght is his speech. He tutored young noblemen both low and high, in fencing and court manners, and in order to reach this he had to be a natural charmour aswell. Which he was. He still keeps to his courtly manners. A little quirk, for the type of man he is, is that he loves gardening and growing things. Flowers, small herbs, heck even large apple trees! He loves it. He is not a master at it, but he is doable when it comes to planting and caring.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: In his age, the body is not as strong as it once was. He is not weak and fragile, but nothing near the prime he was in, in his younger days. He is not a man-of-the-craft either. Never took the time for it, as he was busy with his swordsmanship and speech training. Never eat his stew with a smile, for there is nothing to smile about. Dont live in the cleanset of houses, because he dont clean well. Oh, and he is terrible at card games (But this inability he hates.)
Appearance: Vandar reaches 1'85 in heigh, being a tall man in his family, where his father was 1'79 and his mother 1'71. He has black hair, now with some grey in it because of the age. He can grow a large beard, but keeps it neatly kept. His eyes are azura blue. He is broadshouldered, but not in a oversized way, like most brawlers are. But it is clear to see why he took the way of the swordsman. His legs are a little bend, the marks of the saddle has taken its toll on his body. He is also covered in scars. Ranging from small petty scars, to a few large ones that he can tell a story about.
