What is roleplaying?:

Roleplaying is acting things out as someone who you (usually) are not. Whether they are humans or another race, you have your character do things that they would do and say things they would say.

Although they are controlled by us, they are an entirely different entity that usually has a different mindset and personality and morals, etc.

What is metagaming?:

Metagaming is where the knowledge which you have gained OOC’ly is then used IC’ly despite your character having no way to have gained or even came across said information.

What is power-emoting (powergaming)?:

Powergaming is where you make your emote in such a way that you already say how the person/people you are interacting with responds. Meaning that they cannot respond as they would do normally.

Biography:

           Born into the prestigious noble house Rovin in 1951 to Ophelia Revandir and Arthur Rovin, Katrina was raised between Bastion and Johannesburg in a happy home with a relaxed atmosphere. It was during her early years that the existence of the Holy Orenian Empire’s power struggle of the Orenian Elite was happening, and so she was raised to be a kind and passionate girl who should try to help those less fortunate than herself. From that, it was easy to make friends in her early years with her inviting, kind and honest attitude, which also led her into meeting Annabel, a stable girl who shared much in common with Katrina. It wasn’t soon after that the Rovin’s were the leading dynasty of the Westerlands, and during that period, she grew, not only physically, but mentally. Her constant curiosity of the different ongoing events made her mother worry, as she wished for her daughter to be shielded from all that she could shield her from. Eventually, when she begged her curiosity to her mother for the hundredth time, the scholars and military minds of the Vandermensch helped to educate her into the woman that she is. Though it was her uncle, Holy Ser Rosencrantz Revandir, which she drew much of her education from. His considerable age granted him knowledge which made Katrina wish to continue learning under his guidance.

           During her formative years within the Westerlands, Katrina was present for the signing of the Pax Occidenti and Greyspine Concord, allowing the realm to establish its roots as a Kingdom. Though the following year leading to the destruction of Johannesburg from Coalition’s win soon soiled what . Over time, the family had planted its home within Bastion, the new capital to the Kingdom of the Westerlands. As the years continued to progress, she grew an aspiration for acquiring knowledge in the Clerical arts due to the time she had spent with her uncle. This was further strengthened by the sudden downfall of the city to the Undead and the Drake Mordring. The downfall was where her disdain for dark mages began to emerge, pushed further as she took upon herself a grievous wound from an animated soldier which also resulted in her finding it difficult to trust others. The wound was received when trying to protect her friend, Annabel, who had recently moved to the city and was being attacked animated soldier. Annabel then proceeded to run away, abandoning Katrina in hopes that they themself could get away without any issues. Whilst this did make Katrina sour for a while, she understood why the friend did as she did, but vowed to not put her full trust in anyone outside of her family.

Trust, she struggles with putting her faith in others who are beyond her close of kin. Anyone may be a dark mage or may abandon her if things get tough.

Inflicting Pain, she has no true taste for it. Having seen so many suffer with the fall of Bastion was enough for a lifetime.

Appearance:

Standing at a modest height of 5`6”, Katrina is the finest example of a Vander, bearing fair pale skin, golden straight hair, and vibrant blue eyes. She is commonly dressed in suit of Chantry plate, unbefitting a lady due to her uncommon training as a Cleric and her Uncle’s desire to keep her safe. Her body is toned from time spent training and her right abdomen bears a mended scar which runs up just below the breast. Her arms are covered in tattooed litanies to the Aengul Tahariae.
