He'd quickly skim it then nod to himself, muttering: "I pray cousin Victor minds his manners at this beautiful affair. For it shall sure be a meeting like no other." He'd fold the letter up then place it in his pocket, returning to his studies.

Biography  Annushka Valkihius, born 1598, grew up with her mother and her three siblings in the Eastward part of The Moskgrad Hetmanate as servants to a minor landowning merchant. She was always doted on by her mother, since she was the youngest of the children. Her sister, Isilia, who was the oldest, had the strongest bond of friendship with her younger sister. Their two brothers, Irani and Makithae, worked mainly as guards to the merchant, guarding his cargo and shipments, so they went with the merchant often on his trading voyages. They would always tell their Annushka stories of the places that they saw, the people that they met, and the rich culture that they were exposed to. Growing up, Annushka always was taken away by the stories and fascinated by the eclectic cultures in the world. By the time she was old enough to walk and talk, she was sent to the kitchens to work there. She quickly learned many of the cooking skills that were needed to become an excellent cook. She loved mixing and matching, making new kinds of tasting foods stuff. She enjoyed her job wonderfully. The cook soon began to notice Annushka's enthusiasm in the aspect of cooking, in which he then took Annushka as his apprentice and taught her the art of cooking- and cooking well, at that. On her free time, Annushka was taught how to sing beautifully by her sister, Isilia, who was the merchant's entertainer and paramour.
She also thirsted after knowledge, so she sought after someone to teach her how to read and write, so that she could soak up knowledge from books. Her brother Makithae then taught her the basics of reading and writing, to her excitement. She then took up secretly reading books whenever she could get her hands on them, from almanacs to books about the lore of Eshar. She then began to read many books about herbs and their effects, so she went to the healer of her area and asked to be taught in the art of healing. The old healer readily agreed, because she was becoming old and needed someone to replace her position in the small obscure town. Annushka was then becoming quite the skilled young child, and becoming very independent from her family and town. She had studied late in the nights of the art of healing and herbalism and worked as the cook's apprentice during the day time hours. She was very busy all of the time and had little time to relax. She was always very kind to her fellow peers, and respected those who were older than her, even if they were rude and obnoxious toward her. She often sung to herself while she worked, to the pleasure of those around her, for she had a honey-sweet voice.
One day, on her 19th birthday, her mother and sister decided to take her on a small outing on a small boat and have a lunch out on the blue waters of the gulf. Things were going along smoothly until an unexpected summer storm swept in from the north and pushed the small boat further Southwest. During the swishing and beating of the waves on the boat, Annushka's mother and sister fell over board into the deep darkness of the sea and were drags further down by the weight of their clothes. Annushka clung to the boat for dear life as the merciless sea battered its powerful waves against the small boat. The boat couldn't handle the shear amount of force that the waves dealt and was crushed beneath the waves. Annushka still held a death grip onto the pieces of wood that were floating upon the surface of the water. She then blacked out and awoke later to find herself on a beach somewhere, presumably on the shore of The Mountain Kingdom. She was very heart heavy with grief and very confused of what had happened. She then dried her salty tears from her cheeks and decided it would be best to go on and try to find a town and get a job to get enough money to go back to the merchant's estate so she could be united with her brothers. So she kept her head up and started walking. Reading through books about the current tension between the Coalition and Oren she has the intentions to avoid it. Through reading she has found a lot of other things too such as how humans were cursed with young age compared to the other races.
