Explain what you feel results in a quality build.
In a quality build, I believe there are these key factors.

Does it have a unique factor about it? It's all well and good to use a bit of world edit copy/paste here and there, but as soon as it becomes intensely repetitive that is when you need to take a look back, take a break and explore alternative perspectives.

Does it give that sense of 'Adventure', people in general love a bit of adventure so to bring them that a quality build must have that sense of imagination, something that only yourself could come up with!

Does it meet the desired function? For example with a dungeon there may be varying levels of challenging features, as you progress perhaps even parkour. Has this been accurately tested to make sure it is indeed passable?

Why do you wish to become an ET Builder Member?

I am interested into becoming an ET Builder, partly due to my core desire to keep on progressing my skills, especially when a build can be criticised so that I can improve on it. Another key factor is that I love to build structures that have an actual purpose, whether it would be a dungeon for someone to explore or, perhaps a ruined castle that's being recovered from the overgrowth. whatever it may be It is truly satisfying to see people role-playing throughout these buildings!

What strengths would you bring to the team?

Coming from an engineering background, I am a keen problem solver, to bring a non-stop, can-do attitude.

Also, over the course of 5 years I have been in and out various building teams and groups, at one point even starting my own. During this period I have become much more adventurous and motivated to experiment and progress my building. Some could take a few hours, others just over a month. I am always prepared to help complete whatever task may lie ahead.

    What are your weaknesses?

Working with people who are either not on the same page or lacking interest in getting the job done.

How much time could you give to this position in the foreseeable future?
Well I'm pretty flexible, aside from weekdays of which I finish work at 6pm, but from there... Who knows what could be built?

Just a heads up that my previous application received a 'Pending' notice a few months back but due to having a break from MC, I did not realise until last month, since then I did reapply but it was in the old template - and I have no idea where I posted it lol.

How long does it take for you to complete a build?:
Well there are a lot of variants such as the complexity, size and theme of the build. That said however, I tend to find myself as a fairly quick builder - for example as seen above the 'Minetime Factions Spawn' took me less than a week.

Additional details: (Do you know voxel, world edit, redstone, etc.)

I've used voxel and W/E for a few years now, that said there are still a few commands that I haven't used yet, of which I'm keen to learn. Likewise with redstone I know the basics of course but not everything.

Tell me a trick about building:

    //g 98 *x*x-y^5+z*z-1))^2<0.005)+((x^2+z^2+(y+0.99)^2*1500-0.4)^2 <0.3)

A command that I occasionally use to create a 'vase shape' which is very helpful to use as the base design for towers. I used this quite frequently on the desert city build as featured above.

  4. Out-Of-Character Information

What’s your Minecraft account name?: Deluxe498

What timezone are you in?: GMT

    How old are you?: 18

Are you aware the content and interactions on this server may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13? (You won’t be denied for being under 13): Yes

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes

What’s the rule you agree with the most?
    "When gathering resources, you must clean up any floating leaves or stone when chopping trees or mining. e.g. no floating leaves." This, along with;
"Everything you build must conform to our roleplay world and lore. We penalize for any ugly, unrealistic, or physics-defying builds, and will destroy them."
These are my personal favourites since they enforce all players to maintain a tidy and decent environment to roleplay within, without the possibility of floatings leaves, unrealistic strip mines or poorly built structures which would also break immersion.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense? (if so we can help clear it up!): n/a.
How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Google.

Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications (If applicable): n/a

Have you logged into the server yet? (You cannot be whitelisted without logging in at least once): Yes.

    Definitions
What is Roleplaying?: To create a character of which you converse and act with in-game through a 'role'.

What is Metagaming?: Using OOC knowledge to use within an RP conversation or action to gain an unfair advantage.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: As seen in the rules, this is where you practice an action that is in your favor, of which denies the ability of another character to counter it.

    In-Character Information
    Character’s name: Taron Barda

    Character’s sex: Male

    Character’s race: Human (Heartlander)

    Character’s age: 23

    Biography
Little is known of Taron's exact birthplace, records state that he was born in the year of 1592, where he came to the City of Metz in 1595 as an Imperial refugee of Johannesburg following the dissolution of the Holy Orenian Empire, along with his mother Esabelle. After spending several months poor and on the streets, a wealthy merchant, Giradin of whom is a native took pity on them so he brought Esabelle and Taron into his life. From there Taron grew up to admire the architecture of the great city, often practising with whatever materials he could find. His adoptive father, frequently taught Taron the use of a bow and sword where he would soon learn that these skills were critical to his survival. Taron tried to get close to his mother but while he asked her questions of her upbringing, she would always find a way to change the conversation, it would seem that Esabelle found the past events too painful to describe.

On a rainy night of 1609, Taron's mother, Esabelle was walking back from the local Inn at midnight where a brutal thief attacked her. The injuries were horrific but she managed to grasp onto her breath and live through the ordeal. This attack was essentially life changing as she lost her ability to walk, talk and eat. Giradin took the blame for not being there to protect her and was so crippled with grief that he turned to drink. Something that would not be taken lightly...

Now the year 1612, Taron came back to the tidy little town house to see it completely ransacked with both his parents dead on the floor.. The guards said that it was bandits but Taron knew exactly what had happened. Giradin had murdered Esabelle, then killed himself as a source of desperation to find peace from his grief. Now broke from Giradin's debts, Taron was forced to sell their family home. And chose to clear his thoughts by exploring and travelling across the lands of Axios.
As much as Taron hated his father for this, he admitted that he thanked him for sharing his self-defence skills, which have helped him get out of plenty of frightening situations throughout his travels.  It was not until early 1615 where Taron decided to make the great walk to visit his mother and fathers grave in the City of Metz...

Personality Traits: While Taron was not exactly known for his religious habits, after the events of his parents he turned to become a strong believer of the Church of the Canon. Taron is a fairly wise man where he is always on the look out for cheap sales so that he can turn a quick profit, he has little interests in alcohol or other distractions. He finds true friends hard to come by and is very distrusting on people claiming to be one, he also avoids trouble since this usually leads to a negative impact on his life.

Ambitions: Taron's core ambitions is that of becoming a well-known merchant throughout the lands of Axios, where he would purchase either that of a luxury villa or a quaint farm where he would continue his trading business. He also has intentions to start up a home for the poor to reflecting the kindness of his father onto strangers.
Strengths/Talents: Taron is a quick talker to ensure the quick sale of whatever he has on hand. He is also fairly good at archery, where he would occasionally practise on dangerous foes along his travels through Axios.

Weaknesses/Inabilities:  His kindness is probably his greatest weakness, where people have been known to take advantage of this for their own gain. Additionally, Taron finds it much easier to work alone than with others, this can cause problems because different people may have different ideas that could end up benefiting him.
Appearance: Taron features a light brown haircut, fair skin and eyes of a dark green eye colour. He stands at 5ft 3" he wears a brown and blue jacket with shiny gold coloured buttons. You may be able to notice him from the silver necklace that hangs from his neck, this was a gift from his mother.
