What is Roleplaying?: Roleplaying is essentially writing up a character and implementing them into a world space to interact with other characters made by other people, essentially mimicking reality in a videogame or other platform (if you're into that)

What is Metagaming?: Using information you gathered outside of the game world and using it to your advantage within role-play, example: Say I’m some King of some Nation, and i hear that this other nation plans to attack my kingdom oocly, and i react by preparing irply. that is meta-gaming.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: In a general sense making an overpowered character, more specifically sending emotes which force an action on another player, giving them no way to counteract it.

Biography  (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Douglas was born on the outskirts of the Lotharingia at the end of the 16th century, in the arms of a loving family who owned two large carts and made a living by setting up their shops in the villages of Tahn.

Douglas was the youngest of three siblings, sharing one of the carts with two older sisters. As his father aged, he had to overtake the tasks he had once watched his father take with fascination. Curiously, the one he ended up enjoying the most was that of wood-splitting. As the seasonal cycle brought forth winter, he started wood-splitting for timber, bringing much needed warmth to his home. Having to sit inside due to the horrible winters, Douglas grew bored. He quickly began carving the pieces of wood he brought inside, throwing the ones he disliked into the flames. Before long, it became a hobby, an activity in which he would indulge every winter. After years of carving wood, he realised it was his passion and as he slowly came of age he decided to become an apprentice of the most formidable woodworker in Lorraine’s Capital: Metz.

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)  He has a habit of sitting under trees to escape socializing with other people, when he is in an uncomfortable situation he tends to fiddle with a piece of wood in his pocket. He’s quite sarcastic and comedic when he gets comfortable in a situation.

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?) Become the best Woodworker in the Isles as well as win the heart of Kristiana Churchill.

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)

After years of creating things from wood, he has become a proficient woodworker, and is getting better at it. In addition to that, he took a recent interest in archery, given his lack of talent in the area of swordfighting, and has found out he has a natural talent when it comes to shooting the bow.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?) He is socially awkward, due to him always being with his family, as well as being unskilled at swordfighting due to never training with it.

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?)

Douglas would be 5’9 and weigh around 180 pounds. His skin would be paler than most heartlanders due to his cherished moments under the shade of a tree during summer. His black hair would fall over the sides of his forehead, almost shrouding his eyes, yet he would keep it neatly cut on the back and sides. His brown eyes would look at the scene before him with tranquility. The only scars present in his body are on his hands and at the dozen, as he has had many slips with his knife during his amateur days as a woodworker
