What’s the rule you agree with the most?:

"The use of alternate personas purely for additional skills on one character is forbidden. Any character with multiple personas tied to its name will have the duplicates deleted without regard to any professions or items." - This rule is a personal favorite, as I have seen it done many times on other RP servers to attempt and min-max a character's skill.

What is Roleplaying?: Roleplaying is the act of assuming the identity of a specific character, and performing that character's behaviours, actions, and demeanor through a medium. In this case, you become the character, rather than acting as yourself.

What is Metagaming?: Metagaming is the act of acquiring information on an In-Character topic through Out-Of-Character means, then acting upon that information In-Character.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: Powergaming, or Power-Emoting, is the act of formulating an emote that does not permit the opponent to react appropriately, or in formulating an emote that overplays your character's skill at a specific task. Usually this is most prominent in Roleplay-Combat, however it is possible to powergame in another situation. For example - if your character knows little to nothing about the medicinal field, but somehow manages to perfectly stitch a wound, this is powergaming outside of an RPC situation.

    Character’s name: Aekar Temorik

    Character’s sex: Male

    Character’s race: Farfolk

    Character’s age: 67 Years

    Biography

As many find themselves within humble beginnings, so does the rather simplistic and pious elder Temorik - drawn from a rather quaint background, born amidst a small village far adrift within the frozen provinces of Ceru, one cannot imagine much would come from a rather poor family as such. His own family had immigrated there some time far in the past, father having served some form of low-level governmental position within the 'Caliphate', before electing to take his own young wife to live in a far-off Ceruan village. Aekar in early life was meant to follow his father's footsteps in plying the trade as village apothecary, and such as a good son, did so for much of his life. Yet - unlike most other members of such a quaint village, a longing for adventure and grandeur tugged at the heart of this Farfolk. Having been immersed in local culture and goings-on for much of his life, the draw of the world beyond Ceru's barren northern scapes was quite marvelous indeed, yet even so - skills were lacking, as they are for most far-fetched peasant-folk.  Blessed to him was years of training in his only skill of note, simplistic medicine and the quintessential arts of being a frontier apothecary - while arguably useless beyond understanding in a village whose kin saw little interaction from the outside world, it's an unknown as to how beneficial it might be in the greater scheme of things.

Fifty years were spent, tending to the ails and qualms of many a villagefolk where this specific man was born - though, upon the turning of his Sixty-Seventh' year, it was realized that half of his life had been spent doing little more than serving the purpose his family had for ages. His apprentice had been well taught - and thus the mantle was handed over towards such a young and eager man, far more so than he himself had for most of his living days. With scalpel and herb in tow, this specific Temorik found himself at an impasse - from now forwards, all that he knew would be dashed aside. . . and looking backwards, perhaps he would see that in the end, the lives of such quaint village folk was something to be proud of.

Personality Traits: Aekar is quiet, reserved, and quite serious - this might be placed upon his lacking knowledge of the world beyond such a simplistic village life - but by no means is he lacking in intelligence. What may be lost on the peasant-turned-pilgrim due to cultural differences, is easily picked up upon given enough interaction. Some would define the older gentleman as being sarcastic, or uncouth at times - lacking in the reserves that would be pressed upon those with blood of a higher born class.

Ambitions: Aekar seeks to find his way in the world, to do something that will place his name in the "annals of history", so to speak - be that serving and aiding others, or acquiring some glory among men.

Strengths/Talents: Given his peasant upbringing, Aekar only finds himself present with three talents, the last of which is not so much a talent among those educated. His skill with surgical instruments, and blades such as those used in his trade is quite good - though not so fine-tuned as some higher-cultured doctors. . . Equally so, a knowledge and understanding of pitting herbs and ointments is a skill to him, given the impossibility to acquire strong medicine in a home-town as distant as his. That third notable skill, is quite pathetic indeed were he to brag on it - that being the simple ability to read. While Ceru is a land of freedom and general well-being, much can be said for a rural peasant who is the only member of his village that understands written text.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Aekar finds himself lacking in a cultural understanding beyond the small village of his birthplace - as such, the general identity, behavior of, and culture of others within the "civilized" world are often lost upon the man. A simple statement could lead to a large misunderstanding, in his case. Included within this, is a weakness that could be deemed quite ironic to some, given the peasant man holds himself in high regards of intelligence, he is often prone to becoming angered or displeased by someone who acts "less" than even a person of such a poor upbringing as himself.

Appearance: Aekar is a tall man, of fair and somewhat ruddy complexion, due to the paleness of his mother's own complexion, he has taken more from her, rather than the dark-skinned nature of his father - upon his scalp is a dense mop of long salt-and-pepper hair that drifts down across a portion of his face, and is pulled taught in a short ponytail upon the back of his head. His eyes seem to be a color akin to a crystalline blue. Of a decent height, Aekar stands at 6'0" even, with broad shoulders and a somewhat lithe form. Though, as age does for most men, his physique is not as sleek and refined as it would've been forty years prior.
