Once, Constance was a young woman held in good repute. Her young years defined by a life of comfort within the city of Metz. Her well-off family ties gave her freedom to be well versed in finer things without the worry of starvation and sickness at the door. Graceful and poised, no guile to be found in her; she seemed the picture of happiness and beauty at 15. Even so, I have learned with time, things are not often as they appear.
1607. That was the year everything fell apart. The king of Lorainne-Savoy was assassinated, and with him Constance's father vanished. Not physically at first, but mentally. Some said he was addled from day one, a fabric merchant going barmy from his inky dye concoctions. More merciful onlookers speculated the ashen faced man had lost himself in mourning for the kingdom he loved. Her father had sworn by his beloved king, lived only to see his home land thrive. Now he dazedly drifted in and out of reality, and when present he was agitated and brash with everyone. The worst of it being behind closed doors as Constance witnessed the gracious man come near to abusive behavior with her step-mother. Constance knew he wasn't truly addled, only that his heart had no joy anymore. While she loved him dearly, it was a relief when he left to join ranks in the civil war and never returned.
Of course, today Constance would never share of those days when she was practically an orphan. When life was dreary. She looks to her once comfortable life, the opportunities, and the few memories of her mother to be the blessings bestowed to her. With limited knowledge in fabric, economics, and experience as a seamstress, Constance journeys to find the place she belongs. The home that was long ago lost to her.
Personality Traits: Daring, industrious, carefree. Constance is always friendly regardless of the company, idealizing that everyone has a good soul. She can be quite courageous and lively, lifting moods wherever she goes.
Ambitions: Owning a dress shop
Strengths/Talents: Sewing, befriending, and chugging.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: She's a drunkard, there's no way around it.
Appearance: Constance is well kept and graceful, the remnant of good breeding I suppose. Brown hair in a simple chignon, eyes the glow of harvest wheat. At 5'11 she counts height as her only curse, as she thinks it unladylike.
Skin: here I'm going to fix it to be more accurate to her appearance, but I don't have time at the moment.
