What is Roleplaying?: Someone takes up a characters personality and immerses themselves in a world as that character acting out all of the characteristics, hobbies, actions, etc. of that character.
What is Metagaming?: Using outside information to affect rules or an environment in a game. Having someone tell you of a scenario of rp that you weren't in or private messaging someone to come help you with a task or in a fight.This then gives the person who is metagaming an unfair advantage over other characters in LOTC .
What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: Giving yourself more power than you should have. (Making sure that you are overpowered and nothing bad happens to you). This gives you power over other players that are playing the game fairly like in battles or in scenarios.

Biography (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)
Balek was born outside the city of Linandria to his wood elf parents. Although poor, his parents gave him all their money. They sent him to go into the city, to learn from other wood elves, the techniques of making and refining bows as well as many more lessons that could not be learned outside of the city. At the age of 80, Balek stopped receiving letters from his parents. Worrying that something could have happened, he traveled back to the house only to find them gone and the house pillaged. He wanted to track down the people who had taken his parents, but his opportunities in Linandria would leave him as well. Reluctantly, Balek traveled back to the city to learn more skills while searching for them any chance he had. After many years, he gave up on finding them and built himself a house with the woodworking skills he had learned.
Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)
Acts cautious and does not trust people until he knows them for a while. Does not like to be charitable, but he loves to be kind to other beings unless they have done something to trigger his anger. He is reliable when it comes to doing things he is skilled in. For the most part he sees what he does right or wrong and acts accordingly. When he is talking to someone he knows, he is upfront and earnest. He is optimistic when it comes to learning and he aspires to achieve many new skills that he has yet to learn. He has some problems though; he loves money and he might do things he is not proud of in order to gain such money. He also does not believe in any god, but rather believes in fact or knowledge that is shared with the many races. If someone has something he dearly wants he will become extremely envious of them and will try to get it for himself without stealing or doing bodily harm. He hates bandits because of the raiding of his family home. He also hates dark elves because of some of their "thievery" (or scamming) when trading with his parents. He discriminates against orcs for no apparent reason unless the orc is proven to be kind enough for Balek to like. To end off on two good notes, he manages to notice the subtle differences in his environment and if he has the money, he will occasionally give food to the people who are starving.
Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?)
A master archer and bow maker (to sell them and to use them) as well as an explorer.
Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)
He is good at designing and making homes as well as bows. He is good at tinkering around with other tools and even making some of them through blacksmithing (Swords and Axes). He is talented in being able to run faster than most other beings. After his inability to track down his parent's kidnappers, he has become good at tracking other creatures.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)
Bad at leatherworking, and can’t control anger when around bandits or dark elves. He is very greedy which causes him to not share money to the poor even when or if he is rich. He doesn't trust people until he has known them for a good bit of time. He might engage in illegal behavior if it gets him a large sum of money and if it is requested by some other person. Discriminates against orcs and their subraces.
