Biography:
Born in 1627 alongside his twin brother Quintus, Flavius is a kinsman of the mountain peasant clan Clovannus, originating in the western mountains of the Old Lotharingian Kingdom. Growing up in Asul, the stories recounted to him of the devastation in his homeland made him resentful of the Church when he was of a young age, seeing as the Lotharingians and Romstuns had both been Canonists, but had cost his once pagan family everything.
Over time, with the insistence of his brothers, he came to accept the misfortune of the family as part of retribution for acting in ignorance of the Creator. Though Hadrianus and Flavius’ own twin accepted this explanation, Flavius found little to be proud of and began to become prone to hedonistic tendencies. This though was woven oddly into something of a reason to improve his work ethic, as even his most pious brothers would ignore his excesses if he finished his day’s work.
When the Isles of Axios began to be overrun, the Clovannus family fled with the Santegian fleet to Atlas. From here, Flavius took an interest in the nations abroad, and his mind raced with ambition. Upon arriving in Atlas though, Flavius’ father took his many children away from the civilized nations and took up to a simple ranching life for him and his kin - a meek one at that. So dire were things that Hadrianus was sent away to find work, but in this, Flavius found the opportunity of a lifetime; Hadrianus sent word to his family and his warm welcome in Curon. Young Flavius imagined the rebellion supplanting the Santegian Kingdom, and he imagined himself usurping a comfortable spot in the courts of Kings.
Toting wine, his weapons, and all the coin and fair clothing he could gather, he saddled up and rode off with his brothers to find Hadrianus. Flavius knew he was born to be great, and it seemed Hadrianus had found him some proof.
Personality Traits: He is known to clean his glasses on his shirt when nervous, as well as run his hand through his curly locks. He is a proud and stubborn young man with an undeniable sense of justice. Ironically, he is terribly insecure about his glasses and only wears them when he deems it absolutely necessary.
Ambitions: To achieve greatness in the upper echelons of nobility.
Strengths/Talents: Felix has a silver tongue, and despite his rough upbringing, excels in social settings.
Weaknesses/Inabilities: Nearsighted, the young man must wear bifocals to see anything not within a few feet.
Appearance: Rust colored curls grace the ginger’s crown and pale green eyes look out from behind his glasses that rest on his freckled nose. Flavius stands tall at 6’04.
