"I fear it will be sometime before I understand why people kill others. Why end the life of an

intelligent creature. Is its knowledge, are its experiences, not worth something? Must they be

    lost to oblivion?"

sun's kiss. A red feather is tucked behind her ear,- both of which are long and pierced in two places. Her

entire style of upkeep and dress denotes a woman who puts value in being tidy.

    Personality

Description: Quin is a distant woman, polite enough company but holds few casual friends- instead if she is to bond with anyone, it is deep and true, and that person will find they have a loyal friend indeed. With such a small pool of close friendships, she leaves time for work and ambitions, seeking high and hard-sold on being content with where she is. She is enduring, persevering, and task-based, liking things to be cut and dry accomplished before moving on. She dislikes disorder and senseless chaos, and always thus respects a good library or a tidy person. An intellectual, and a curious one at that, learning and discovering more is usually at the top of her task lists. Quin cannot  stand people who are complacent with saying, "I don't know" and moving on. Bundled into that, once on a tangent or topic with someone who knows what they're talking about, Quin easily becomes rather animated and energetic. The prospect of making friends over information excites her, even if she doesn't entirely know what she is doing regarding the "friend" side of things.

Backstory: Born at the dawn of the spring month to an elated Tylin and Val'isil Idrith, her naming is one of jest and one she has come eventually to own. The pair, hoping for a son, had neglected to concoct any names should a daughter be born- so from Quinn and Ceciliyen, her name was decided at the outskirts of Haelun'or and there she had her childhood as her parents stayed faithful to the High Elven city even as better prospects arose among the settlements of humans and others. Together her parents owned and operated a tavern down the road, customers being travelers rather than usual townsfolk. Quin grew up a sickly child, staying indoors with what books her parents could afford for her, and she was taught the manners and respect that would serve her well as an adult. Certain themes of superiority did not go amiss in the household either, though they were less pronounced than in the families of the city, as of course at a tavern for travelers one would encounter many folk, and customers ought to all be treated kindly. Coming into her teen years, Quin helped around the tavern and learned stories from the passersby when she could, in her spare time taking up archery, as well as seeking libraries and private collections of the friends she made for further studies. Her parents, glad to see their child pursuing scholarly activities, encouraged her with this and turned a blind eye to her more boyish habits as she grew. Though she remained staying with her parents, set to eventually take over the tavern, and she largely stayed out of politics, the city life did grow more and more alluring. Coming into maturity, Quin spoke with her parents and some years later bade them farewell, beginning her journey to the path of knowledge, knowing not exactly where it would take her. Her first goal has been to seek out libraries, in her spare time making money as a courier.

  2. Out-Of-Character Information

Please do your best to correct spelling and grammatical errors, this is an RP server and writing is the main form of communication!

What’s your Minecraft account name?: Moolight

What timezone are you in?: EST

    How old are you?: 17

Are you aware the content and interactions on this server may not be appropriate for children under the age of 13? (You must be at least 13 to apply): Yep, fully aware

Have you read and agreed to the rules?: Yes indeed.

What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The no harassment- too easy is it for IC conflicts to be taken into OOC and can make for a very unpleasant time.

Are there any rule(s) that confuse you or don’t make sense?: Nope, I'm all good. You guys are very thorough.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Through a friend :)

Link(s) to past Whitelist Applications: None

Have you logged into the server yet?: Yep!

    Definitions

Feel free to Google the answers or use our wiki definitions as a reference, but make sure that you write the write them in your own words, not those of another website or person! Plagiarizing will result in the automatic denial  of your application!

What is Roleplaying?: The greatest story ever told- one made by many people with their own characters and ideas, each contributing to a community experience. It's great fun, exceptionally interesting for writers, and a good way to escape to a different world and develop numerous interactions

What is Metagaming?: Using information gained through out of character means, information your character would have no access to or has not yet learned, and acting on it in character as if they did have the means and know-how. For example, hearing on TS that a buddy is in a fight. Your character may be at home, unaware, but you teleport to your buddy to help in the fight.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: To emote or take action that would be unreasonable or unfair, either in a way that negates or ignores consequences, or nullifies another player's ability to react. For example, character a  in one emote decides to attack, knock down, render unconscious and kill character b. Character b has not had time to defend themselves, nor the chance to shift the situation to avoid this.

    In-Character Information
Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

    Character’s name: Quincilynn Idrith

    Character’s sex: Female

    Character’s race: High Elf

    Character’s age: 72

Biography: Born at the dawn of the spring month to an elated Tylin and Val'isil Idrith, her naming is one of jest and one she has come eventually to own. Coming into maturity, Quin spoke with her parents and some years later bade them farewell, beginning her journey to the path of knowledge, knowing not exactly where it would take her. Her first goal has been to seek out libraries, in her spare time making money as a courier.

Personality Traits: Quin is a distant woman, polite enough company but holds few casual friends- instead if she is to bond with anyone, it is deep and true, and that person will find they have a loyal friend indeed.

Ambitions: She aspires to be a great scholar, not for fame but to keep her own knowledge. At the same time, she wants to be successful and live a relatively comfortable life, the popular path in her mind to this being opening a tavern somewhere, seeing as that is what her parents have done with their lives and her childhood was a comfortable one because of it. Off to the side, she harbors a thirst for magic- understanding, wielding, expanding.

Strengths/Talents: Reading, connecting dots, researching. Her curiosity drives her without exhaustion. She is also strong-willed and as a hobby, has come to be formidable with a bow.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Love and pleasantries are where she falls short, terribly so. Such she does not process and in the face of flirting, stumbles horribly. And while a scholar, she is bad at math, and lacks at times the insight to how other people may feel about her actions or words. It is hard for her to win allies.

Appearance: Standing with an athletic build of 5'5", a length of silvery blonde, almost white hair falls into her face and down her back in a long, orderly braid. Her face is kind enough, if not pale, but her piercing blue eyes can be almost off-putting. Long slender fingers good for playing instruments. Both ears stick out from under her hair and are pierced in two places, usually hanging with silver jewelry. She maintains the appearance of someone rather well-to-do, orderly and clearly seeing the value of putting effort into keeping up appearances. A stiff, red feather is tucked behind her ear at almost all times. Extending from the back right side of her hip up to just under her armpit on the same side is a long, old scar that has since been covered with a tattoo of a twisting, gnarled willow tree.
