I simply don't want it to be real. It simply can't be. What a brilliant mind and good heart, gone too soon. ****.

Literally this. Goodbye Dantory, thank you so much. You affected so many people's lives here in ways you probably didn't realise and there's going to be a lot of people left behind here who will remember you. Hope you are resting peacefully right now o7

  2. A smile touches Maria’s lips as her eyes flicker down to the end of the paper. She smooths it once, before placing it in an empty draw by her desk. “I am glad to see zat we are educating ze people on zis matter at last.”

  3. “A noble family,” Maria-Clara nods her approval. She places the paper she had been reading back onto the surface in front of her. “It puts my mind at ease to know zat we ‘ave such magnifique leadership for ze protectors of our land.”

  4. We are forever lost without fire to strip us of our blindness. It is the flame of a torch that directs the eyes, the flame of the hearth that guides the heart and the flame of the soul that steers the spirit. Without the light of the Father, we would wander the world aimlessly without sense of direction or the ability to see the wonders we are gifted, but it is at His hands that we have been granted a beacon of light, of hope, to lead us through the darkness that plagues our world - the darkness that plagues our very being.

Of course, fire does not cast out all darkness - the brighter the flame, the harsher the shadow. If we are to truly eradicate shadow, we must also eradicate it’s source, else we will allow the darkness to consume us all. Sin is the source of all darkness. Sin casts the shadow.

Despite the best efforts of the faithful to purge the evils of the world, this land is rife with sin. Sin takes many forms, each as vile and twisted as the Ancients who work relentlessly to seed it in those that are weak of mind and spirit.

There is, however, one form that sin takes which is perhaps more vile than any other. The practise of the wicked arts is a plague on this world. These foul arts were born from a sick and twisted origin, planted in this world by the none other than the Ancients themselves. For too long, the blasphemy that is Wytchcraft has been allowed to exist - to thrive even! Is it not time that we took a more active stance in obliterating this blasphemy - this evil? When a blight spreads across your crops, do you not burn the affected crops before their disease can take hold of the rest of the field?

The truth is, we can hold little hope for the practisers of a sin so violently abhorrent in nature. Such an act tears at the very spirit of a being, dimming the fire that the Allfather placed in their soul. While some may still be cured by the Father’s flame, many will have been corrupted to the point in which they are mere husks of the beings they once were. Such beings are the puppets of the Ancients and the Agents of the darkness. You cannot kindle a fire when the wood is rotted and decayed. If we truly wish to eradicate darkness, these beings must be eradicated too. We must “ensure, in the end that only the light of faith remains”, as Patriarch Arthas I once wrote.

Now more than ever is a time when we must not allow ourselves to forget the Father’s own words, “Tolerance is cowardice. Suffer no evil”. Has the Father not given us all the instruction we need?

    - Neophyte Edlynn

  5. Edlynn whips her head around as she attempts to find the source of the voice and claps her hands together excitedly. "A new paragon!" she beams, glancing around the square gleefully. The small child twirls a strand of greasy hair around two fingers in a thoughtful fashion. "Sounds like a good man," she nods to herself.

  6. About a dozen nails stick out of a piece of paper which looks suspiciously like it has been scrunched up and then flattened back out again. A crude drawing of a girl with squiggly black hair grins up at you overbearingly from the nearby poster. A fierce looking sword juts out of the circle which makes up her hand. "MiSS EDLYNN LOrA FiSCErE FOr MAEYr" is scrawled in bold, multicoloured letters at the top of the poster. A small flowchart has been scribbled beside the main drawing in the centre which reads, "THiNGS i'M GOING TO FiX --> big taxEs --> poornEss --> unEmploymEnt --> unhappinEss --> bad pEoplE" .

A clever slogan has been cramped at the utmost bottom of the page, spelling the words "MakE NordEngrad GrEat Again," and a swirly border frames the entire thing.

Edlynn would slave through the night, determinedly hammering her new posters onto whatever surfaces she could fit them on. The Fiscere clan hall has been entirely plastered with the things, and anyone who walked past would be able to notice at least 50 large eyes watching them from the brightly coloured pieces of paper.

  7. Edlynn sits cross legged on the stone ledge that encompasses the Ash Tree. In the child's lap lies a small iron sword - or perhaps a particularly large knife - which she scrubs at vigorously with a filthy cloth. At last satisfied with her work, she lifts the small blade up to her eye level, and a toothy grin spreads across her face. "Someone's going to have to keep the place safe for the wedding," she whispers to herself and with an important nod, she shoves the knife back into the rucksack at her side, and bounds off towards the gates.

    In-Character Information
    Character’s name: Makaria Starag
    Character’s sex: Female
    Character’s race: Human(Heartlander)
    Character’s age: 19 years old

    Biography:

Makaria never knew her parents. She was brought up in a caravan of performers who travelled across the world singing, dancing, fortune telling, etc to earn themselves a living. From a young age, it became apparent that Makaria was exceptionally talented with a lute. People told her that her music could tap into the hearts of those that listened to it, and to some extent, she believed this, revelling in the attention it gave her and using her words and music to charm people (not actually with magic obviously). She dreamed of learning the arts of magic from a real teacher, so that she could better her music and control people with it.
When Makaria was 17 years old and travelling from Santegia to Marna with the caravan she belonged to, she found one of the other performers sleeping with the man she loved at the time. Later on, she cornered the girl and dug out her heart with a dagger, disposing of her body in a river they were camping at. Eventually the caravan found out. This caused a lot of dispute between the people she travelled with, because a lot of her companions really admired and liked her. After discussing at length what her punishment should be, they came to the decision of exiling her. They branded a symbol of exile on her right wrist and forced her to run away. Ever since, she has travelled alone from city to city, looking for work and trying to follow the rumours and whispers of the magic she seeks to learn.
She always carries her lute with her, and she keeps her dagger hidden in a fold in her dress. She wears a locket that contains a small amount of poison. Her lute holds a lot of sentimental value for her, and she protects it aggressively.

Personality Traits: She gets bitter if she is not the centre of attention. She often twirls her hair while thinking. She is predisposed to dislike anyone who’s more beautiful than her.

Ambitions: She wants to learn to weave magic into the words she sings and the songs that she plays.

Strengths/Talents: Gifted at playing the lute and singing. Very charismatic and good at charming/persuading people.

Weaknesses/Inabilities: Makaria can be a hopeless romantic, and often gets far too attached to people that she barely knows, or she shouldn’t trust. She is also an unreliable friend. On top of that, Makaria doesn’t have a lot of honour and is far more likely to stab someone in the back rather than face them in fair combat. She is not strong at all, but she can still wield small weapons such as daggers, using her cunning, agility and dexterity over raw power and strength.

Appearance: A pretty young woman with long golden hair, hazel eyes and a faint smile that plays at her lips. She walks with an air of grace and confidence that she gained from her experience as a performer. She is slightly taller than average for a woman, standing at around 5”8, but her height is barely noticeable because of the way she carries herself. She has a branding on her right wrist that is the symbol of her exile, but she usually wears a single glove to cover it. She wears colourful and flamboyant dresses as an entertainer/bard, and a plain travelling cloak and tunic when journeying.
