  1. KAIROS, the injured forever-Herald, limps to his room and slams the door, collapsing unto his bed, his right arm missing and hair lightly burned.

Passing out once again, he'd remember the death of Thelia within his mind; watching the woman who he spoke to before, the wise Elf, be impaled by that of a Demi-God. The Herald he spoke to only hours prior, dead.

The Fire within him is fueled once more.

  2. TRITON, who had not caught the ride back to Aaun, would trudge along the seabed for one day.

Eventually, he'd climb the continental shelf of Aevos, and emerge on the most Southeast shore of the land, near Balian.

The venerable Machine would walk for another day, Northward, back to his creator.

  3. A KHARAJYR ENTERS the stonen room, gazing forlorn to the statue before him. The calcified Bokakur. His gaze flicks to the loose note on the ground, and with a furrow of brow and deepening of lip, the Kharajyr's expression changes to indifference.

"With IRE do I bid you farewell, Bodakur. A voice..." He says ambiguously, gazing up from the note to the statue. "But... bad timing." The Herald of Heralds swiftly turns a cheek to glance over his shoulder, but looks back to the statue.

"Your Student has sense." He'd go on, talking to it. "There is War. And I wonder if you'll come back out when the day comes." The Kharajyr takes one knee to speak closer to the statue. "...And that day is near." The Herald of Heralds then rises back to his full height, turning his back to the statue; and leaving the Stonen room. The rattling of his equipment grows fainter as he departs.

“.. I left my sword down there. Can you go fetch it?” A woman clad in green quietly commented as she gazed upon the wreckage of the city. She soon came to look to the large automaton, awaiting a response.

The Great Automaton: Triton the Sunderer, delves down into the ruins of the Lower City, searching for the Blade of Ame Renshin!

  5. "You will die, Pharoah of the Rah'muns." Says a voice, deep and gravelly, their gaze raising from off the missive in a hot place, shrouded in shadow and unknowing. "You will die, and your conquest will be forgotten. You lead men to their deaths." The voice would pause for but a moment.

"You should have taken our mercy with purpose."

Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

Beings of Iron, Bronze, and Copper, held together by Alchemy.

    Overview

Automaton/Animii's are the most complex of construct. They bear complicated internal and even external mechanisms, such as "lifeblood" tubing (for keeping Alchemical fluids flowing throughout), a strong ferrous skeleton, hidden or internal gadgets, modules for senses, the Gear or Clock heart (the most complicated "organ"), and the external chassis (armor and stuff). The Skeleton of the Automaton is always built upright and bipedal, never representing of any animals or non-humanoid creatures. The bigger the size of Automaton, the lesser the intelligence and speed due to Lifeblood flow (any larger than an Olog in size will fail). Suspended within and around this Skeleton are the lifeblood tubing, which will promote movement and the use of extremities. This lifeblood flows in and out of the Gear heart, composed of various springs and gem-infused cogs, and as its name suggests, is the Alchemical equivalent to a human's heart. Within its center is a kind of Gem, be it a Diamond or Lead, which acts as a sort of power source and is transferred into the blood for energy as it flows.

Upon activation, the internal whirring and churning of mechanisms syncs and resounds, strangely mimicking that of a heartbeat.

Additional to these internals, there are different modules dedicated to sensory, the most penultimate being the cerebral module and sight module. The cerebral module serves as the mind and brain of the Automaton, and allows it to be capable of complex problem solving and intelligence. Without it, the Automaton would be no smarter than an Olog, and would suffer short-term memory loss and would perform inadequately in most situations, like having bad hand to eye coordination. This module takes the form of a series of folds in the shape of a brain, the more folds the more intelligent. Linked to this module are the visual sensory modules, which allow for sight. Having more than one eye is not unheard of, but is inefficient and can have the opposite effects as intended. The "eyes" are made by hollowed pieces of alchemically-treated glass, which are then filled with lifeblood fluids. There is also the voice module, which almost works like an instrument. A variety of strings and keys are present within this voicebox, which are plucked or pressed to create sounds and speech.

There is then the audio and obedience vessel within the robot. The audio vessel consists of a small echo-chamber with a small alchemically-treated leather filament at its end, which is very delicate and reverberates sound waves. Then is the obedience vessel, allowing the creator of an Automaton to control it at no cost, the only being a sacrifice of blood. The creator has to mix 20 mL of their own blood into the alchemical fluid of the Automaton, maybe tricking the Gear heart into recognizing the creators lifeblood as its own. This does not mean the automaton cannot form any other relationships, but it will be left to follow the whims of its creator for the rest of its life. Multiple master's are possible. Whoever put the most blood in will be in charge, though! These modules, and more, are all powered by the Lifeblood. If an Automaton loses it all, or sustains too much damage, it will fall inert or die depending on the injury. Depending on how much of it is destroyed, it will lose memories. Total death and destruction of the cerebral module results in all memories fading away, lost to time.

Lifeblood cannot clot, sustaining damage is critical for an Animii.

    Overclocking

Due to their technological and alchemical nature, the Automaton physiology is capable of entering a period of heightened strength and speed. This phase is called overclocking, and can only be done for a short amount of time due to the lethal nature of such an ability, as it slowly degrades and rips away at the automatons innards to provide such an enhancement. There are two kinds of overclocking, minor and major. It takes 2 emotes to enter this phase, with Minor lasting for 2 and Major lasting for 4. Minor overclocking allows an Automaton to perform at an additional half of their current physical capabilities. 1 more block is able to be traversed than usual, but as a result, the Automaton is only able to operate at half of its standard capabilities. Major overclocking, however, allows an automaton to operate at twice its usual physical capabilities, with enhanced speed of 2 more blocks. The cost of Major overclocking is the automaton's "unconsciousness" until the conclusion of the rp encounter/combat encounter.

Overclocking for longer than 4 emotes causes death.

If this construct or creature has some form of aesthetic choice, can you describe how they look?

    IMG_5587.jpgimage.png

Seemingly built from Dwarven Aquanaut Equipment, this Automaton bears a massive "helm" rather than a visible head, and a mostly watertight outer chassis with protected innards. He stands at roughly 7 feet, and bears no special equipment save for an inaccurate depth gauge and exoskeletal bracers on each arm. The frame of this automaton is designed to keep him upright and output as much strength as possible for his stature.

This Automaton, Thaumas, as he is known as of now, is of few words. It leaves those to wonder if he even capable of speech!

  7. KAIROS reads the missive, he'd nod to its words, stroking his chin as he did so.

He is frowning, though such a guise was his natural expression. He truly felt indifference.

    He would wait.

  9. KAIROS PULLS HIMSELF FROM THE RUINS OF THE MOUNTAIN, his fur charred and skin burned. Upon his form his Labrys nought, but in the belt of another. Then with Fire, it was recalled.

From his injured state did he watch the fight, dipping in and out of consciousness, carried to and fro from places of safety. When he watched that Drake fall, did he speak with an archaic tongue; a prayer of solemn.

  10. HE OF THE FARTHEST NORTHS LINGERS LOUNGED UPON A SEAT OF ICE; ONE OF THE FIRST TO RECIEVE THIS MISSIVE. HIS NEW VERDANT EYES GAZE UNTO THE EMBLAZONED LETTERING.

"Hark! It is true - it must be. So when I sit upon snow weary, it is for my blade hadn't met the Steely Armor of  those devout votaries for mere decades. That is it! They stay hiding - Is it cowardice? Is it mercy? Do they not hate us? I shall never know. Or will I? I will; when they stand stolid on the offensive." His foreign drawl would muse, perhaps as a challenge, the digit of its source rubbing the crescent-blade of some archaic weapon.
