  1. To all the lovely individuals I’ve met

I’d like to thank you, truely it is the players who make the server and in the end you YOU are why I sticked around.

I loved so many of our interactions and I hope you all enjoy your stay

    Tiger & Meteordragon9000

I am glad to have met you both you were the first people to accept me into the community of LOTC and in my heart I’ll always keep you both close as genuine nice people who really cared about those around them and the server at large, I’m thankful to have enjoyed sad and silly roleplay moments on many personas, to sing and dance the talks we had and all the fun we shared I won’t easily forget even if I don’t mean that much I hope I’m at least remembered.

Luke, Panda, Koanda, my beloved Curon **** pun

I previously hated the thought of playing a human because I thought it would be boring, a lot of you I don’t think really liked me really though and I’m sorry I annoyed you or never got to truely be better friends.

Luke you were one of my best friends on the server you looked out for me and tried your best at every step to do right by me, you have a good heart and a smart mind don’t let other people control you it was an honor being able to roleplay as your wife and in the future I hope your culture and charter succeed you have the right friends, the right people so I hope to hear about the powerful Russians.

    To Mirasul

I don’t have the heart to run it anymore nor the will. I’m done I am privileged to have so many people who liked my idea and tried to create a future with me, I loved you all even if you fought like dogs. I pray I return some day to a elven nation of sun elves bright and gilded as the day they were conceived.

The Gilded Courts of Mirasul request attendance! For we believe a grand Mali’thilln Masquerade would be a great place to do business.

We pray the Silver council finds this acceptable

We have rested long in our desert home of Korvassa, now nearly a year we send you all greetings, a formal announcement of our existence and gifts in the form of opportunity from our Gilded realm, we welcome all Elves whom seek not closed gates, nor weak defenses to come share in the peaceful desert walls of Mirasul.

Mirasul Denounces the weak and idle rule of Kings

We instead embrace a place where all might be nobles and lords based on what you can provide, not a culture of blood but one of gilded halls and strong warriors. For beauty, perfection is best born out of those most willing to seek it out. The glorious ambition of those who desire more. More than servitude to a lord, more than a humble lot in life as a civilian we offer that which only Mirasul has. A chance to grow, to become something more than a warrior in the battles of men, or a peaceful recluse of the hidden realms seeking to hide the glory of Elves from those undeserving of its glory.

The grand road below Aegrothond now beckons you to our land; for Wealth, for power, for the true grace of Mali to be recognized under the glorious sun.

  5. A letter would rest on bosom of the now deceased Natalia Devereux alone – Her death of natural causes, of grief and illness.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dear Anabel Devereux & My Children,

I’m likely regarded as a traitor now, having come here in my last moments I did not do so to betray my people but to do what my husband could not. Face the reality that royal names, noble titles do not really measure the quality of a person.

We’re put in places often, where our hard work no matter how well intended is simply left unrewarded. We bite and claw at one another all attempting to gain power, siblings . . . brothers & sisters. We war

against the world that controls us, the people in power, and now even against ourselves. My husband Ecbert Devereux knew that the entire game, he was just a puppet in the end and he refused to allow himself to be a puppet any longer.

Nothing I can say will end this War. Nothing I will ever have said will matter a great deal in reality for that is the way the world is. I am a widow of a Prince, a noble daughter of Sylvester Halcourt but I have done no great deed in my life save the simple duties of any woman: have children, listen to my husband, care for my children. I have tried my best to be nice to those around me, I’ve insulted the Empire at times, but I think we all feel trapped by those stronger than us at times and lash out.

I love you Sarah, Pierce. I’m sorry I didn’t say goodbye, nor have the strength.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

*On the back of the paper would read

“Ave Curon, Ave Renatus, Ave Imperium, fight for what you love.”

    _____________________________________________________________________________________________________

  6. Natalia lifts from her bed, reading the declaration “Ah, finally. Blasted war was never about joining another Empire.” Coughing as she layed back down, finally resting more at peace knowing that the truth was now actually being told.

It’s good to see an elven kind that isn’t focused near forests. I like the desert idea and (from what I’ve seen) have a little bit of an Egyptian feel to it. It seems interesting that they are so evil that they think they are holy, like their precious necromancy.

I like the idea of having more than one race in the culture. A very interesting thingy.

Now onto the main con, the Arak tribe. Oh boy it makes me wonder what fantasies it will awaken. Lustful? A tribe? I doubt that’s how lust works in this case. I highly doubt that a whole tribe could have a common sense of lust. That’s more of an individual’s problem than a whole tribes’.

If you mean Lust as in the lust of war or whatever, it’s still a problem in my opinion.

I don’t control the Arak tribe nor their lore that is Spr0nk.

They are (or were) necromancers, yet they are known for liking gold? Considering undead are weak to gold one would think that a culture that accepts necromancy would not have such an interest.

Elves are known for blending themselves into the habitat they live in. When I read this to me it seemed more like a Dwarven Clan than anything else:
    - The tribe thing being basically a title (like dwarven clans)

    - Living in arid/harsh environments (Cave, mountains, deserts)

    - They seem to have the curse of greed, which dwarves have.

I do see you put a lot of effort on the post and that why I upvoted, but I still think you need to put some more work on it.

    We’ve updated! Have a gander

While I respect the effort you put into this, it would probably more widely accepted by people if a major part of the culture wasn’t about lust, incest, and sexual encounters.

After much consideration this has been voided from the clan and racial features. I’ve instead opted to go for something more akin to the Elves on mirkwood’s vice.

I’ve majorly rewritten it to take out the lust part. Could you specify which part you mean? If you could suggest another vice I’d be interested ?

It’s a good start as long as you remove all the ‘sexual conquest’ ****. Elves already have enough of that. The idea of a desert culture of elves is interesting though, so try to develop it and maybe get a charter, see how it goes.

Already removed! Was working on cleaning it up I had a vague idea and kind of vomited it onto the post, starting to refine it conceptually.

Thank you for the positive input ❤️ it is encouraging.

    THE NEKHABET

    &

    THE TRIBES OF MALI’ASUL & VALAH’HT

    Mali’Asul History & Society

Asul and their human soldiers once were glorious in both might and beauty, their scrolls long since burned. A history once believed to be grand now lay in rubble far below the sands. The Pharmalin believed themselves to be the chosen people of a forgotten Daemon, for they believed their necromancy would allow them to rule and begin a war in the realms beyond, far away from their Mali’aheral brothers they toiled forging armies of dead in the sands.

Their kingdom, if you could call a shambling mass of

mindless undead fell into ruin as the necromancers fought one another in an vain attempt to grab power over the realm, A realm of little consequence to anyone else. However the sand swallows all in the end as would become a common phrase; the war proved to have no victor, and the art of their necromancy perhaps lost forever in the dunes. The only whispers of this story come from those who claim to hail from the hidden kingdom of the undead it’s name now gone. All that remains is the Nekhabet, Arak, & The Sun Elves of the deserts.

    download.png.66914cdce15623eef9f1203dfb22b75c.png

Mali’Asul are known mostly for their desire for their aggression, instead of hiding in their homes they are known to instead nearly to a fault be ready to fight both at war and in single combat. For most of all might makes right in the lives of any tribe. Thus one cannot lead a tribe without both the wisdom & knowledge of a warrior and the mind of a leader keeping weak leadership out.

Tattoos mark their skin, showing their accomplishments and titles etched in gold for their lavish nature still resides below a warrior’s strong ideals desiring to amass wealth and rule once more remains lingering in all Asul hearts believing themselves not only all deserving of great power but superior to their high elven breathen whom they often call Lowborn for their weak moral code and seemingly reclusive nature.

Famous riders and horses are known to frequently come from the stock of the Asul being very numerous it is within their culture to not only honor horses but live beside them. For a Mali cannot rely only on their legs or strength of arms if they are to rule over those whom sit in their castles.

The Nekhabet Tribe however have a renown desire for rare objects, scrolls, and gold being interested most of all in their ability to fight against the undead for while they Asul once wielded them, they too fought them. They most frequently share the traits of white hair and amber almost golden eyes

Their Sister tribe the Arak however idolize combat to an extreme degree fighting for the simple joy of it, known also perhaps for their lustful nature. They most frequently share hues of gray in their hair, their eyes similar to that of the Nekhabet perhaps denoting a shared lineage.

    Nekhabet & Arak Behavior

    Spoiler

This is being worked on but requires additional input from the Araks.

    Mali’Asul Culture & Society

    Spoiler

The Asul are legendarily lavish once attaining power, amassing large amounts of beautifully ornate clothing along with weaponry to compliment it. Though as simple tribes they cannot horde such things and instead naturally walk amongst their kin the Mali creating tombs to honor their dead properly rest in glory. To hold lavish graves along with lavish festivals of death known as Amentacaln to celebrate their accomplishments as Mali no matter their true history is a custom to the Asul and had in the passed been followed by a large donation of gold or Minas to the family from the grand coffers.

The Valah’ht or humans are regarded differently than any other elvish society. Believing the Valah’ht to be a those whom should serve along the Asul as generals and kings of their own kin. While forbidden from holding major positions within the government of the old Asul Concilium. This is however a vote of trust in their intelligence and worth for they may pass their own laws and govern their own people as long as they follow the codes and conduct set by the old Concilium.

In the current age the Valah’ht are regarded as soldiers primarily brought along to aid the Asul in reclaiming their glory and to be given cushy high end jobs once their glory has been reignited.

    Asul Architecture & Defenses

    Spoiler

Asul structures are usually grand on the outside depicting great pillars and monuments recounting the names of those whom serve as soldiers along with their families, these depict both Valah’ht and Asul. For the labors of their culture were not of them alone and this was not lost on the Mali of the Sun. While large pillars and ornate outward structures were their thing they instead tried to avoid the sun by creating gigantic underground halls that rose and fall like the dunes. Building a network of tunnels under their gigantic structures above keeping their homes cool from the ever prevalent sun. Their defense was in fact their homes for a the tunnels while numerous were narrow and did not branch allowing many gates to lock those who would seek to hurt them from entering below while the Valah’ht preferred to construct sandstone walls to watch over the invaders.

    Mali’Asul Tribal Faith

    Spoiler

The Mali’Asul do not formally believe in god worship instead allowing tribes people to freely worship their gods as long as it does not disrupt the pursuits of the other Asul or Mali. This included their Valah’ht subjects.

Instead the Mali’Asul believed pursuits of magicks and healing to be more noble concerns for an elf whom live so long, why should they concern themselves with gods beyond their grasp? Most of all the Magicks of the Necromancers concerned the Mali’Asul a long lost art and interest of theirs they do not view necromancy as evil but a birthright they hold secretively to themselves. This secret is not even known among all Asul for it is a closely guarded secret not due to malice but for its nearly holy nature as an art it should not be told or shared or taught for it is their’s by birth and the knowledge dies with them alone of such tasks.

The Tribes of the Sun Elves

    *In full detail

    Mali’Asul Tribal Virtues

firstly are the virtues all tribes shared the Mali’Asul or Sun Elves followed, a strong set of virtues that govern their life since they lack a core religion they instead follow a strict code of honor written as their ‘Virtues’. It brings shame to those whom break these Virtues.

    Spoiler

Desire – One should not seek out another whom is being courted.

Wealth – Stealing is strictly prohibited. Those involved in robbery or such things will be executed on the spot if of appropriate age.

Might – One may challenge another for anything they wish, as long as the elders permit. whether that be the right to rule or even challenge a virtue.

Virtuous Rider – To attack or steal a mount is a crime of the highest order, however if no permanent damage is done, such a thing is not punishable by death or banishment

Duels – Duels shall only be fought in equal number, by adults, and may only result in death if agreed upon before the battle. If any of these are broken depending on the severity banishment to death may be given to the subject whom committed the atrocity.

Death – You are to honor the dead, even to those whom you vanquish. They deserve to be buried in the sands as all do. To deny someone a proper burial is punishable by banishment, furthermore decapitation or humiliation may additionally shame ones tribe and by extention the Nekhabet.
